Lol, good one chip. It's to bad we couldn't reuse the one you did for me with Obama worshiping at the altar of healthcare you did for me a couple of years back when Urkelcare passed SCOTUS.
I think most public art is no different here than it was in Saddam's Iraq or Kim's N. Korea. It is a way for the ruling elite to say "fuck you and like it" to the working stiffs. "See this big ugly pile of red pipes welded with less precision than your average sewer? Well we taxed you to pay some effete son of the ruling class more than you make in two years to build it and we are going to force you to look at it!"

This seems like a minor incident. It had nothing to do with Iran, and nothing so far indicates it has anything to do with terrorism.
Simply, a pleasure or fishing boat seems to have no understood warnings about approaching the ship, and was therefore fired upon.
So why the big deal? Why the top billing at Drudge?
Because Drudge realizes, like I do, that Obama is going to start the War on Iran for domestic political purposes. Romney will select his V.P., and together they will have their moment in the sun.
And then Obama will strike. The Republicans will be impotent to strike back. They can't criticize the President for taking the military action that they have been promoting for years. They can't criticize the timing because that would be disrespectful to the military. And the Democrats will gently push the notion that voting for Romney would be un-patriotic and potentially dangerous in this time of conflict.
I think that, to Team Obama, military action against Iran is inevitable. They can wait. Or they can strike now while the political benefits are there for the taking... killing two birds with one stone, as it were.
The oryx with two horns is a pretty common site in southern Africa. Not as common as say impala or lechwe, but around. The guy you'll have a hard time spotting is the sable antelope. Bashful as all get out he is...
You ever get really really tired, and then life takes a big dump on you to make sure you know who's in charge? You all know I've just gotten outta the hospital for lower GI surgery for my 3rd time. My Dad, 2 years ago was diagnosed with lung cancer, and he beat that. And last year he had bone cancer and he beat that. He just came from the oncologist, and now he has skin cancer.
It ought to be shedding one liquified black vinyl tear, like a fake indian (maybe Elizabeth Warren) standing on a hill, contemplating our wasteful civilization.
But you know, if you pollute, you didn't do that. Somebody else did that. If there weren't roads and the internet, you couldn't pollute anything. So it's not your fault.
Whoa, sorry to hear that Carnifex. Sometimes it really does seem that some folks are chosen to have one calamity befall them after another. I've been discussing elsewhere the Buddhist's belief that life is suffering and the roll fate plays.
I think that I just don't want to buy that notion, but sometimes one does have to wonder.

That's a big gamble by Obama. People are sick of war. Romney will be able to fashion a rash-President-Obama meme, pointing out the inevitable mishandling of the action...and how a real man with a steady hand can step in and do it right.
Thanks for not pointing out the shadows that were supposed to be removed. My laptop kept stopping and the clone had to be remembered before the layer was duplicated twenty times and besides I couldn't really tell which patches are shadows and which patches are markings 'cause I aint no ornxologist.

It's wondering where the broad went.
It's heading to the ancient dialects exhibit featuring comments from people who use the word "broad" to refer to a dame.

It needs a ptyx.
Possibly also a credenza.

Does Chip know that he didn't accomplish these entertaining animations by himself?

On Drudge right now the headline is
US NAVY FIRES ON SHIP IN PERSIAN GULF, ONE DEAD
This seems like a minor incident. It had nothing to do with Iran, and nothing so far indicates it has anything to do with terrorism.

Obama thinks a war is a drone strike. When Iran blows up the White House, he may find the story a bit more iffy.

Gonna change the family name to Job.

Nooooo. I'm so sorry. Prayers coming your way.

That's a major series of bummers, Carnifex.
Roll, should be role.
I often mess up poll and pole too.
I just saw a picture of Obama speaking ... where ... Cincinnati?
In front of his 2-12 logo.
FOREWARD.
Has anyone else noticed that the "forward" has a period -- a full stop, as they say in the UK --- after it.
Odd.
Prescient?
And under it, of course, in a smaller, all caps font, it says BARACKOBAMA.COM
Which with a quick glance appears almost like ... BACK.
That's 2012 slogan.
I dislike peview in this format. You get the damage.
