One person's funny way of talking is another person's incoherent way of communicating.
I do appreciate his willingness to step aside after his terms. That's what keeps America great.

Dubya did some bad stuff (Medicare D), but he fought the War on Terror, unlike the current slob, who's doing his dead level best (or worst) to lose it.

It's like they know that ObamaCare it is not a good thing. If they did truly think it was a good thing, they continue to put their guy's name on it.
I had a lot of complaints about Bush as a president, and I'm glad that he's done (not glad about his replacement, though). But I've always thought that he (and his family) seemed like a really pleasant person, someone who, if I knew, I would really like having around.
I saw his parents the other day on TV endorsing Romney. Barbara made a big point of adding that she knows that "Mitt's wife will make just the nicest first lady . . . oh, except for Laura." So sweet.

We hear them refer to it as “ObamaCare” all the time. They just get mad when other people refer to it as “ObamaCare.” Pretty soon we’ll have to start referring to it as the “O-word.”

Bush's tax cuts did expire.
The current rates are the ones Obama signed into law.
It's pure political propaganda to keep waving around "Bush tax cuts" like a red flag before a raging bull. Just more read meat for the Dhimmocrap base.
I liked the bit about not wishing for people to undercut Obama. That shows far more class and grace than Clinton/Carter, who both took undignified jabs at Bush.
They're not the "Bush" tax cuts anymore; Obama signed them into law when they came for renewal--just like he did when the Patriot Act came up for renewal.
He had the power to veto them and didn't. He had the option to refuse to sign and let them come into law without his assent. he chose to put his name on them.
I like classy people.
The tax cuts were OK. Especially the Capital Gains Rate cut. But I wish he had not meekly gone along with the Housing Bubble to Nowhere.
Shifting the blame for that disaster 1000 times worse than 9/11 onto other DC leaders is not enough of an excuse. He knew what they were doing and he should have stopped them instead of attacking Sadam's Iraq. At least that is what the Tea Party guys believe about Bush.
It amazes me that Obama can make me actually miss Bush. For his faults, he actually led and had beliefs he stood by.
I didn't agree with him on his fondness for spending --- but he didn't change his views when the winds changed, either. That can be a virtue.

I don't see Zero manning up and claiming them as his.
"Some other body's" is naturally formed in an attempt to get around cumbersome English grammar rules.
"Another somebody's" doesn't quite fit.
A similar formation "That's a whole nother story" I hear all the time, and "nother" isn't even an English word!
Can you imagine Obama saying something comparably self-effacing and humble?
As I recall, the tax cuts that were passed under G W Bush were across-the-board cuts. Obama and the other Dems object only to the portion of the Bush tax cuts that apply to upper income tax payers (which I think involved less money than the tax cuts for the non-rich). So if Obama wants to repeal the "Bush tax cuts", he wants to raise everybody's taxes.
And you know he will if he has the chance.

Bush did huge damage by not defending himself.
That left the debate field 100% to democrats.
The way to be classy is to explain again what has been badly understood, as many times as necessary.

They're not tax cuts. This is simply the current tax rate. Tax rates change for all kinds of reasons. There is no existential purity to the tax rates of 2000 that we must refer to the current tax rates as anybody's cuts. Continuing to refer to the current tax rate as Bush tax cuts shows how the MSM has been able to dictate the terms on this issue. I can see when Zager and Evans are paying taxes in the year 2525, they will still be called the Bush tax cuts.
"Affordable Care Act" is one of those oxymoronic titles that says the opposite of what it actually does. But then, it was written by morons so what else should we have expected?
Deliberately or not, the words "some other body" were used by one of our greatest lyricists, Chuck Berry, in his song "It Wasn't Me" the refrain of which goes:
"It wasn't me, baby, no it wasn't me, baby.
It must have been some other body, uh uh, baby, it wasn't me."
Good enough for Chuck Berry, good enough for me!
It's just possible he said it the way he did because it's funnier that way. One persons clever is another persons duh.
Bush was never hard to understand. It was always perfectly clear what he meant. His critics tried so hard to misunderstand him when his meaning was perfectly obvious. He's not incoherent at all. Compared to John Kerry he was a font of clarity.
Why do people focus so much on how people speak rather than what they say? I think it's a lazy way to avoid engaging the content of what's being said.
