It is too bad for Scott Walker that he isn't Jewish.

It is a beautiful religion; perhaps more importantly, though, a yarmulke would cover his bald spot perfectly.

Why haven't you blogged about the Drew Westen op ed in the NYT? You've written lots about him (disparagingly) on other occasions.

I am going to reflect on, let' see: Green.

I am thinking Green.

And Nature. If God is in us all, then God is in a blade of green grass.

Should I decide to let my Tibetan spaniel eat a blade of grass, I am guilty of feeding him God.

Green, like the color of approved technology.

Green. the color of envy.

Green, the color of the nature scene you posted that inspired these thoughts, and often the color of phlegm.

The reflections in your picture here and in others on your flicker stream are so vivid, that they look like paintings.

Here is my green. I am proud of catching it from my puny little camera. At a hotel room in SLC Utah, they had a leaves picture like this set against a very copper blue sky peeking here and there and the effect was fantastic.

Government is inept. My personal observations are that the GOP is slightly less inept that the Democrats; but both are still inept.

Since both are inept, I tend to support the party that can accomplish ineptitude at the least cost.

Well, my failure to blog doesn't seem important enough to cause you to link to this supposedly bloggable piece. I took the trouble to go look for it. I've skimmed it. It looks dull. What interested you about it?

It is too bad for Lukedog that she isn't Moslem.

It is a beautiful religion; perhaps more importantly, though, a burqa would cover her perfectly.

Many years ago I took my 8 and 12 year old sons fishing in the White River Forest. Crossed the Colorado at Burns where we asked an old timer where the good fishing was. He said "take that dirt road about 40 mile until you see a blue spruce next to a white gate....enter and follow the old logging road up the mountain about five mile until you come to a small lake called Emerald Lake...there'll be trout waiting for you there...more a little higher in Crystal Lake and even more higher yet in (can't remember name)". We arriived at Emerald late afternoon after a slow treacherous trip up that logging road barely wide enough for our 4X Suburban. But Oh, was it worth it! I have never in all my 79 years ever seen a more beautiful setting...the sun low in the west casting soft shadoows across the emerald hues of the lake's surface broken only by the Brook trout feeding on the late afternoon catch. I said a prayerful thanks to that old timer as I watched both boys catch their limit in short order the first time they had been fly fishing. We had Brookies, sausage and eggs for breakfast. I won't bore you with our ensuing adventures in the White River forest on that wonderful trip. All I can say is it doesn't get any better than that.

foxlets4, if I understand your directions correctly, that's an area that I've spent many the year elk hunting in.

What interested me about it is now that I think about it probably not going to interest you. I am also terrible at linking. I just need to refresh myself. What I thought was interesting was that it was pretty damning, for one thing, and I also thought it was true. He also has a lot of your same criticisms. (I was a primary Obama voter, not general election.)

As a lib and Democrat, I liked what he said about centrism and wishy washy compromise. It was spot on. He summed up the disappointment a lot on the left feel.

Here's the ugly link.
