... will be done Condi's way.

Bad link... not to Condi.

As to the Condi interview, if it is the one I think it was then it is hard to imagine how the interviewer can keep his job. He was making the case that a man who started two wars, defied 17 UN resolutions, gassed his people into submission, tried to assassinate a US president, gave refuge to one of the participants in the first attack on the twin towers as well as sundry suicide bombers and their families, and who was in violation of a cease fire from the day it was declared did not pose a threat to anyone.

That sort of willful blindness and incompetence not arise from a difference of opinion. It is the sort of thing that should make one unfit to be employed as a journalist. I can only assume that NBC and Microsoft approve of such behavior because their news division is rife with such stupidity.

I think Lawrence O'Donnell likes getting slapped around by Condi. Some people are into that.

O'Donnell is living the dream!

AllenS म्हणाले...

Sound like Condi's way means kicking someone's ass verbally.

Terrye म्हणाले...

Lawrence O'Donnell is such a smug little moron. He really is. Condi Rice is not only better looking than he is, she is way way smarter.

edutcher म्हणाले...

Miss Condi took a lot of abuse from the Lefties when she was working for Dubya and kept her cool in accordance with the dignity of her office, but she's a private citizen and now she doesn't have to be nice.

PS This is why they call it A Mess NBC.

Saddam Hussein “was a threat” to the US, Condoleezza Rice told Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC last night. While O’Donnell held that “Iraq had nothing to do with September 11th...”

It's at that point most critics of the Iraq invasion say Saddam was "contained." But what was the consequence of that containment?

Before falsely stating that "Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11," O'Donnell should have consulted Bin Laden's own words.

Al Qaeda's 1998 Fatwa

The following text is the second fatwa originally published on February 23, 1998, to declare a holy war, or jihad, against the West and Israel. It is signed by Osama bin Laden, head of al Qaeda...

"No one argues today about three facts that are known to everyone; we will list them, in order to remind everyone:

"First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples.

"If some people have in the past argued about the fact of the occupation, all the people of the Peninsula have now acknowledged it. The best proof of this is the Americans' continuing aggression against the Iraqi people using the Peninsula as a staging post, even though all its rulers are against their territories being used to that end, but they are helpless.

"Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation.

"So here they come to annihilate what is left of this people and to humiliate their Muslim neighbors.

"Third, if the Americans' aims behind these wars are religious and economic, the aim is also to serve the Jews' petty state and divert attention from its occupation of Jerusalem and murder of Muslims there. The best proof of this is their eagerness to destroy Iraq, the strongest neighboring Arab state, and their endeavor to fragment all the states of the region such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan into paper statelets and through their disunion and weakness to guarantee Israel's survival and the continuation of the brutal crusade occupation of the Peninsula.

"All these crimes and sins committed by the Americans are a clear declaration of war on God, his messenger, and Muslims."

However, LO'D has that granite looking chin and an all important self-satisfied scowl that graces his image of being a self-important jackass.

That makes everything LO'D does much more valuable than any of the accomplishments that Ms Rice has every achieved.

Of course, a fitting punishment for him would be to locked in a room with O'Reilly and Chrissie Matthews, with none of the three allowed out for at least 25-hours; Betting allowed on which survives that terrible session.

I like Condi. I bet she shaves her cooch.

Kev म्हणाले...

(the other kev)

I really wish O'Donnell would have tried to physically intimidate Rice the way he did with Cathy Seipp. It would have been a literal smackdown instead a figurative one.

Titus म्हणाले...

I am on the phone with my husband and he had to pick up the other phone and he is speaking Hindish. Totally hot.

Paddy O म्हणाले...

Condi should run for president. If she doesn't run, could she tutor Palin how to succeed in an interview?

"What you know today can affect what you do tomorrow, but what you know today cannot affect what you do yesterday." Good stuff!

Titus, don't you mean Lawrence O'Donnell?

My bet is they would come out of the room tired, dissheveled, but with smiles on their faces...don't ask, don't tell! And don't touch that loofah. You do not know where it has been!

windbag म्हणाले...

I actually saw a link to that interview accompanied by the comment that O'Donnell stuck it to Rice. You have to be up to your eyeballs in Kool-Aid to interpret that as a win for the left. Oh, yeah, feelings trump facts in their world...I keep forgetting that.

Titus म्हणाले...

Mary you got the wrong link there.

Very unprofessional.

I am extremely disappointed.

I expected more.

Skyler म्हणाले...

She has an impressive presence of mind. I don't like all of her policy recommendations, but I've always been impressed with her intelligence and clarity of thought.

MDIJim म्हणाले...

Why oh why do the Republicans, idiots that they are, ignore people like Condi Rice and chase after idiots like Palin and Trump. Condi for president.

Paddy O म्हणाले...

"ignore people like Condi Rice"

They don't. She said she wasn't interested in the job.

I think Rice/Palin '12 would be a Republican dream team.

अनामित म्हणाले...

That Obama and the rest of the left have not been able to move on from their obsession with W and attribute to him total responsibility for all that is wrong with the world tells you all you need to know about Democrats.

Victor Erimita म्हणाले...

Why would someone of Condi's stature and intellect go on a show with Lawrence O'Donnell? His adience is miniscule. He sits there with that mask of rage and condescension, spouting college dorm, Chomskyite cliches to an audience presumably composed of the similarly deranged. None of them are going to be changed by whatever Condi says to them. So, what's the point? It just legitimizes O'Donnell. The guy is a TV writer. Why lower yourself to be grilled by him, no matter how firmly you hold your ground? The guy is an insignificant twerp. Condi might as well appear on "Wayne's World." I don't get it.

Kensington म्हणाले...

I wish O'Donnell would just stick to acting. He's actually a fairly charming actor, and I enjoyed him on Big Love.

But as a political pundit, he comes across like a sociopath.

Kensington म्हणाले...

Maybe Condi went on the show precisely because she knew how it would go. Maybe she still has the urge to kick the asses of the people who slandered her throughout her tenure in the Bush administration.

kent म्हणाले...

Mega-smackdown of the boorish dullard O'Donnell by La Rice.

Jenner म्हणाले...

Condi rocks.

Kirk Parker म्हणाले...

cockaygne,

Who's "running after" Trump? Rather, Trump is pushing himself forward.

Nate Whilk म्हणाले...

Saying Condi wants to be interviewed her way is a great injustice to her. She just wants to be interviewed. O'Donnell doesn't interview. He bullies. He asks questions, then interrupts the answer. He prosecutes. He interrogates. He has the ideal Aryan look and verbal and physical style of a Nazi storm trooper, and he has the ethics, grace and sincerity of Al Sharpton.

Of course, Scary Larry has stated he is a socialist. He just hasn't admitted the "national" part yet.
