As I recall, the introductory titles to the edited video climed that the event Ms. Shrrod was recounting occurred while she was an U.S. government official, but the text of Mr. Brietbart's post intorducing the video did not explicitly make that statement.Did Mr. Brietbart insert the introductory titles, did he merely pass them on, without comment, and should he have included any caveats about them? Well Chemical Ali never met a fact that he can't get wrong. At the time in question (80s and 90s) indeed there were about 75,000 farms in Georgia with about 45% black ownership...no good records. 20,000 claims were filed and about 12,000 were approved. 80,000 late claims were filed and disallowed.

Maybe just a little bit of reading would prove useful so that when you dummy up information you might get it past the rest of us.; २४/८/१०, १२:५६ PM

From the report of his own lawyers:

USDA lawyers who conducted the review issued five recommendations (summarized below):

1.) The department should follow existing resignation protocol and review all relevant facts before making a decision.

2.) All senior officials related to a decision should be consulted before Vilsack makes any final decisions.

3.) Officials should use courtesy and respect when interacting with political appointees about performance issues and give them a chance to respond.

4.) Senior officials should regularly inform others of updates to their contact information and "priority information" should be quickly shared with senior staffers.

5.) The department should review the travel schedules of senior officials to ensure enough of them are in Washington to help avoid making hasty decisions. Vilsack was on a two-day tour of Ohio on the day Sherrod resigned; his chief of staff, Karen Ross, was visiting family in Tennessee.

In the private sector, he would already be gone.

As to the obstructionism charge, what about the whole "Speaking truth to power" you guys were so fond of only 2 years ago? Suddenly speaking truth to power means you are a racist to the core.
