He isn't an animal lover. Smugglers are net animal killers. He is part of a group that kills 3-4 animals for every one they succeed in getting smuggled in and getting a payout for.
There should be a law that caught smugglers get caned on the spot. Bloodily caned. In front of all the other people passing through customs.
At least that fraternity is definitely going to accept him now.
