They 'sic' comments written on Twitter? Geez. Don't they know 140 characters is almost impossible to do and still spell properly?
Heh.
Tweet: I'm opening my safe now.
Tweet: That's where I keep my valuables.
Tweet: It's hidden in the wall behind the brown sofa.
Tweet: The combination is my pin number 1-2-34
Glad Obama has that Blackberry!
*shakes head*
Now I know our government is full up with fools, but really?
And come on, Republicans! We were doing so well keeping the attention on Obama's foolishness!
@Palladian: haha.
"Congressman Peter Hoekstra tweets a security breach!"
He sang like a canary.
At least have him removed from the Intelligence Committee. Sheesh.
Or is this the way to meet new friends in Al Qaeda in the new high tech world? Bet it is. Surely it's a no fail approach.
They're all pathetic idiots.
Throw 'em all out.
I have a hard time believing they were really supposed to keep this trip quiet.
If so, I doubt it was for security reasons. We've heard about Congressional trips to Iraq many times before. There is only one difference this time......

Rs love twitter.
I (using 1jpb, i.e. not my personal twitter account) was following some Rs, and it wasn't long before a few other R folks (that I wasn't following) started following me.
So, it looks like they saw that I was following some Rs and they decided to follow me hoping that I would reciprocate by following them.
I hope the Rs will be tweeting in the dark in the House again, that was soooooooooo effective (not really.) They are good at operating in the dark, practice makes perfect.
Jesus Christ!!! Hoekstra, your a moron. What the hell are you thinking you sack scratching baboon?
@Jason: LOL!
I've been told that I have Luddite tendencies so I doubt that I would have this problem. Land lines are better for security reasons... but then I am not a bureaucrat...
People said it was silly to worry about twitter as a security risk.
Helen, 'sic' just means 'thus'. It's not a value judgement.
Another appalling breach by the DOJ.
Seneca the Younger: You're correct that in Latin 'sic' means 'thus'; however, in editing, 'sic' means 'it was wrong in the original and I'm anal enough to point that out to you in case you missed that horrendous grammatical/spelling error.' I believe a value judgment is included.
My god, how dare he divulge that a congressional delegation was going to Baghdad, a city with fewer murders than Chicago in a year. No doubt Al Qaeda will use this info going forward to derail the stimulus package.
Unlike the noble porkmeisters who stayed at home and didn't divulge such state secrets, whilst gorging themselves on the public tax monies Hoekstra defiled America. Perhaps they can teach Squire Hoekstra a lesson and haul him up for a hearing, much like they with did with Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, Barney The Purple Dinosaur Frank...........well you get you get the gist.
