"Deep Throat."

"Deep six."

Deep ly "undesired tool in the pursuit of truth" (Though not necessarily the whole truth and nothing but the truth.)

It seems to me the participants on all sides of this story shared many more unflattering qualities than the popular history ascribes.

In the past week 3 famous people have died in their 90s.

Mark Felt, 95

Sammy Baugh, 94

Van Johnson, 92

It's that comes in threes myth.

So Ernest Borgnine is safe for now.

Note to future 89 year-old self: Increase quantity of masturbation sessions three-fold +.

William म्हणाले...

Ernest masturbates to the healthy, life enhancing beauty of Betty Page. This explains his long, active life....I think William Ayers probably used Jane Fonda's Barbarella as a sex object--that was the root cause of his later depravity....Favreau undoubtedly used Paris Hilton as a fantasy girl. This explains the vapidity of much of his prose....I would feel better about America's future if Rick Warren takes the occasion of the invocation to warn against masturbating to early Jane Fonda or current Paris Hilton images. Erotic focus should be placed on good, Evangelical Christians like Betty Page.

That duo of Woodward and Berstein really had to work hard to piece together the Watergate puzzle, now didn't they?

As to pleasuring oneself, remember there are two kinds of liars.

In Watergate, there were more kinds.

Nixon testified on behalf of Felt at his trial. Reagan pardoned him later.

He was convicted for running black bag jobs on the Weather Underground, i.e. Bill Ayers.

Both Ayers and Woodward owe Felt a lot.

Felt hated Nixon because, after Hoover's death, Nixon tried to take control of the the FBI, it being part of the executive branch and all. Felt felt that the FBI should continue to be its own branch of government accountable only to itself.

Was Annette Funicello an evangelical christian? Or will I be going to hell?

Surprised at the mild comments on W. Mark Felt. Reading the comments over at HotAir, I've learned that: 1. Watergate was no big deal, 2. Monica-gate was a big deal, 3. Nixon wasn't all that bad, 4. Clinton was pure evil, 5. Felt was no hero, and 6. If you don't agree with 1-5, you're obviously a supporter of terrorists and voted for Barack Obama.

Welcome, MrBuddwing, to the site where we cruelly cut through all the bullshit all the time on so many levels.

Pull up a treadmill. Scroll. Learn.

(Butt I suggest you first suck in that gut.)

Meade: Annette Funicello is an acceptable substitute for Betty Page but only for Catholics and never on Friday.....I also failed to mention the pernicious effects of Pam Anderson. This Peta activist was put forward by the MSM press to alienate Sarah Palin from her natural constituency of moose hunting men. One must be vigilant at all times.

I was a bit obsessed with Watergate over a decade ago. Kind of a weird thing to be obsessed about, but so many great mysteries and fascinating drama. I read most of the major player's guesses as to DT's identity, and even paged thru the Nixon tape transcripts for clues (this was released as a book several years ago). I hated the idea of DT being a literary device or a composite, wanted it to be Chief of Staff Al Haig, but figured the most likely (if un-sensational) candidate to be Mark Felt. Actually I was pretty proud to have come to that conclusion years before it was revealed.

A particularly aggravating experience for a Watergate junkie like myself is to read Woodward's The Secret Man. One would presume this to be the long-awaited expose of the rationale and motivations behind DTs cloak-and-dagger collaborations with Woodward. It's not, but frustratingly only because Woodward waited too long. By the time he attempted to reconnect with Felt after a split lasting decades, it was too late; Felt's memory was just far too gone.
