I don't know much about qigong, but I can't believe that guy embodies the spirit of the thing. As for tui-na, it means "push-grasp" or "poke-pinch":
Physically, it is a series of pressing, tapping, and kneading with palms, fingertips, knuckles or implements that help the body to remove blockages along the meridians of the body and stimulates the flow of qi and blood to promote healing...Palms, fingertips, knuckles or implements... Not thumbs?! I was thinking it was all about thumbs.

melinda that was exactly my reaction. I wonder if this massage place is an old tire store.
I wouldn't have anything done to me with that thumb as an advertisement. I think qigone means 'spend big bucks in small room' and tui-na is the sandwich they serve with the industrial strength green tea.
I'm not so sure the index finger isn't more scary than the thumb.

"Qi-gong" is the closest Chinese speakers can get to pronouncing "Quagmire".

Sometimes signs confuse the living hell out of me. I puzzle over them inordinately. At a gas station an 'A' sign read, "Go Aves." I thought, "Do they mean birds? What did that have to do with a gas station? Did they mean Avis? What?", "Com'on, wut ???" I simply could not make a connection. Finally it occurred to me it referred to Denver Hockey Team, Avalanches. Utterly out of place, and how are readers, presumably speeding by, expected to know Aves refers to Avalances? My brother thinks I'm retarded.
Another sign read, "Venetian Blind Polish Here" atop a dusty building. I drove past it a dozen times wondering why they were specifying Italian and Slavic people. I simply could not get it. Finally comprehension struck, they weren't referring to nationalities at all, but rather window shades being cleaned. Made me irritated at the sign maker for putting me through all that.
