I would have the debate in Death Valley, late August, if I were Romney.
The putative "Snowman" is a fruit slushy, nothing more, nothing less. Note to the democrats, too late! You have already scared the children with your global warming Armageddon talk. The parents of the scared kids have already debunked the threat so their everyone in the house can sleep.
Why would anyone scare children in a return to the nuclear armageddon many of us suffered through under our desks at school during the cold war?
Al Gore should know better but then that is indicative of how far out of touch he and his east coast Brahmins are from the rest of us.
I love how it's a crime for people to use a snow man to "scare" people into discussing political issues, but it is no crime to exploit murdered civilians to gain moral and political leverage that helps push agendas.
I'm not a huge fan of the You Tube debates myself, but it disgusts me when people imply they are 'above' this process. There is nothing wrong with facilitating the political discussion, as lame as they may seem, these debates do serve to encourage youth involvement in American government.
Romney's initial reaction made him seem like a bigger tool than the dorky guy that made the snow man video.
How is answering questions from a snowman lower than the President answering softballs from a homosexual escort who's only journalistic experience was managing his high school newspaper?
The parents of the scared kids have already debunked the threat so their everyone in the house can sleep.
Was that on FOX by chance? I must have missed it while I was hiding from the terrorist cheese bomb dry runs.

Maybe because 'global warming' is still subject to debate, whereas Islamic terrorists have demonstrantly shown thier ability and willingness to kill Americans.
Some people think global warming is a greater threat to us than Islamic terrorism and that's fine. I just don't want a president who agrees with them.
Mitt Romney pretty much always comes off badly. Too rehearsed, too slimy, too... politician-y.
But I'm not too crazy about the youtube thing myself. Just because it's **NEW!*** doesn't mean it's inherently good or even interesting. Too gimicky. Like the Clinton MTV interview, kinda stupid when you look back on it.
I'm curious, because I don't know, has anyone successfully won the Presidency by suggesting elitism? Well, maybe Washington, but he's an exception I think.
Seems like Presidents have repeatedly turned folksy instead. "I was born in a log cabin" was for a while a not always honest claim, but used because it spoke of low-born roots.
Romney, however, is attempting something odd. He's trying to make us respect the office of Presidential candidate. Sure, we should respect the Presidency, but not necessarily those wanting it. Those folks should show us they know how to listen, and how to respond, even if the context is a silly one.
A good strong sense of humor (not corny jokes) would go a long way in this. If a candidate could do something like that and have fun, while giving good answers to sometimes silly questions, I'll bet they'd have a chance.
Which is sort of the candidate I'm expecting Fred Thompson to be.
It would also be fun if one of the candidates posted a youtube question for the other candidates. He'd be one of the folk. Wonder if they'd allow that.

Snowman in August. The costume store ran out of polar bear suits.
He isn't president yet. If it is a real person, snowman suit or not, it is obligation to answer.
just imagine how he looks to the snowman.
