When Courtney Love is telling you someone is dangerously, infectiously into drugs, that must really means something.
Anyway, I hope Owen Wilson gets the help he needs.
Here's the suicide scene from the great movie "The Royal Tenenbaums" (which Wilson co-wrote):

Owen is my favorite of the Wilsons and I really hope that he can get the help he needs. I thought that The Royal Tenebaums was one of his weaker parts, though I did enjoy the movie a lot.
Owen has a certain frantic comedic ability that is rare. But I also think that a lot of other comedians of his level have drug problems, for maybe similar reasons. Think John Belushi, etc.
I wish though that as a society we'd recognize that people who have drug addictions (however they came by them) are ordinary people from all places in life who need help and support, not criminals (though it is certainly true that drugs are either the substance of or the cause of most crime.)
Isn't there a celebritney tag? Owen Wilson might not qualify, but Courtney sure does.
MM: I considered it, but thought what happened was too serious.

On an episode of Dinner for Five (which was a great interview show), Ed Begley Junior talk about doing a ridiculous amount of drugs with John Belushi during the filming of "Going South", and having Belushi warn him that he really needed to take it easy on the drugs. He realized that was a real wake-up call, when John Belushi is telling you to ease up on the drugs.
Wow, Courtney looked really good in that picture.
