The arrangement immediately makes me think of the Johnny Cash version of that song, which I find devastating. It's a great song, and I'm not trying to take anything away from Trent, whose work I like a lot, but Cash's version has a weight, a gravitas, a resonance, an ache that Trent - or even Kermit - just can't match.

Yeah, but for my money Grover did a much better job with "Needle and the Damage Done."
It belongs forever to Johnny and Trent said so himself.
