AJD seems a hateful sort. Hangs around merely to antagonize, to jeer, to bully and whine.

English has no adequate word for this, one that describes something simultaneously hideous and sad. Not quite bathos, because unfunny, not quite saturnine, because there remains something quite pathetic about it. Words fail me in describing the online equivalent of a cantankerous old woman, whose crabbiness exposes an interior she'd like to blame on others. Or perhaps a web version of the chained-up hound, snarling and yelping at passers-by, gaining nothing for its violence, and a bark that signifies nothing.; १८/३/०७, ११:०५ PM
