"What the f–k does it look like I’m up to? I’m being an oyster farmer," said Graham Platner.

Quoted in "Accused rapist Graham Platner is pissed as ever after crashing out of Maine Senate race: 'Who the f–k are you weirdos'" (NY Post).

The Post pressured Platner to say how he felt about his life now and collected remarks like "It just seems to be, like, life, man" and "It goes the way it always goes, friend" and "People from away have no idea what it is we do for a living."

They won't let him melt back into obscurity. The word "rapist" in the headline feels lowly and mean. I'd have to look it up. I'll just publish this and click the "Graham Platner" link to to remember what that was all about... back when it mattered. Now, there's this other guy being the Graham Platner to Maine's Susan Collins. Don't know a thing about him. The details of midterm elections in states other than my own are not something I like to get tangled up in. I'll be glad when the 2026 election day is over and we can get back to endlessly mulling over presidential candidates.

All they have is a decades old lie from Some lying bitch name E Jean - who never called to police or did a rape kit. And she won the money in NY with a civil case - and George Clintonopolis(D) caught lying and had to pay the price for lying.

What a life. First he's a black sheep, free-loading poser blue-collar type guy whose mom buys his oysters for her restaurant, who gets talked into running for office because of his carefully constructed image. And then his whole life gets unpeeled & revealed. Now he has nothing left that everyone already doesn't already know about. Sucks to be him. But it's hard to not see it as just desserts. That should be the headline: 'Just Desserts on Mt. Desert Island'.

Peachy, you are the embodiment of the fact that MAGAts are in too deep to ever stop worshipping their pants shitting, dementia ridden god. Or a really ineffective and low wattage bot.

Big Mike said...

“Don't know a thing about him.”

That’s pretty much by design. His name is Troy Jackson, he has run for state-wide office twice and lost both times, and he has fathered 2 children out of wedlock by his second cousin. Is it against the law to marry a second cousin in Maine (in some Ststes it’s perfectly legal to marry a FIRST cousin). Unlike some, I do not hold sex with a second cousin against him, but he’s been in a relationship with a woman for forty-odd years, fathered two children with her, and has still not married her and that DOES bother me more than a little bit.

Big Mike said...

@FortheloveofIce, the President who shat his pants was Joe Biden. You could look it up.

I think that it was 10 or 11 times some 20 years ago. The difference between 10 and 11 is that one trip was double counted, because they landed in DC and counted both legs of the trip. Trump never visited any of Epstein’s homes. Not NYC. Not Miami. Not Pedo Island. Etc.

As for the 1,000 references to Trump - that was Epstein obsessing about Trump, esp after Trump banned him from MAL for the way he treated a woman there. Not something that Epstein was used to. Nothing on Trump. The world would have been a better place if more had seen through Epstein’s facade, like Trump did.

Technically legal but people look askance at it. A first cousin, they'll cut you more slack to allow for the possibility that maybe you didn't have a sister.

>Big Mike said...Is it against the law to marry a second cousin in Maine<

Second cousins may legally marry in all 50 U.S. states. That's because procreation between second cousins carries medical/genetic risk approximately comparable to the risk for unrelated couples. IOW, much ado about nothing.

The stuff you read and hear from the Right about Troy Jackson and his having kids with his cuz is just ignorance - or much more likely, smear tactic.

Saint Croix said...

The word "rapist" in the headline feels lowly and mean.

100% agree. They soften it a bit with "accused," but it's still an ugly word.

Saint Croix said...

Among other things, this case made me despise Jake Tapper. The alleged victim in this case doesn't call it "rape." So why are you calling it that?

Complete assumption of guilt by the alleged journalist whose job is to find out what is true. "Why didn't you call the police?" is a question an actual journalist would ask. But pussies like Jake Tapper are terrified of the feminist mafia.

False rape claims are a serious problem. Tapper's complete disregard as to whether an actual crime happened is disgusting.

Saint Croix said...

Now, of course, the entire leftist media has zero interest in Graham Platner, or pursuing any criminal investigation. Almost like the charge was created for campaign purposes and no other reason.

Many Republicans enjoyed the Graham Platner fiasco. It's like the NY Post wants to revisit those fun days. And he's like, "What the fuck do you weirdos want?" Because zero journalists (or cops) are seeking him out now. The campaign is over. The media's circus trial is finished. He's doing oyster fisherman stuff.

Rabel said...

"On July 6, Politico published an account by a woman Platner had dated accusing him of raping her while he was drunk in late 2021."

Hard to keep the rape victims separated, isn't it.

Saint Croix said...

The Soviet left yanked him because of internal polling. They don't give a rat's butt about morals and dignity.

Specifically, they yanked him because he was getting all the media attention, and it was tarnishing the Democrat brand. A Nazi tattoo, when the party is lurching against Israel, is really bad. And then bad relations with women. Eventually they decided to sabotage him with a rape allegation. And Jake Tapper, that weasel, made his video.

FortheloveofIce said...

Imagane how loud MAGAts would screech if Joey B was in the Epstein files over 1000 times, including numerous credible rape allegations (LOL at it's just Jeff Epstein obsessing! You tin foil hat wearing MFers would screech so loud you'd wake Donnie from his oval office dementia nap.

Now you've abandoned the sexual assault claim, and you're going with kidnapping? Another possibility is that you're just talking shit on the internet.

Again, the campaign is over. It's in bad taste to make a false kidnapping allegation against a fisherman getting out of his boat.

Saint Croix said...

AI has some thoughts!

Graham Platner has not been accused of or charged with kidnapping.

The association between his name and the term "kidnapping" stems from a combination of unrelated news occurrences, political rhetoric, and separate allegations during his high-profile 2026 U.S. Senate campaign in Maine:

• Political Rhetoric: In June 2026, conservative political commentators and critics used aggressive rhetoric while discussing a New York Times report detailing Platner's past conduct. During these discussions, some media figures used the words "assault and kidnapping" to characterize past allegations or criticize how the media covered his relationships.

• Campaign Scandals & Sexual Assault Allegations: Platner, a progressive Marine Corps veteran and oyster farmer, won the Democratic primary in June 2026 but withdrew from the race in July 2026 after facing a series of scandals. These included a severe allegation of sexual assault made by a former girlfriend, which he strongly denied but which ultimately forced him to suspend his campaign.

• Unrelated Video/News Layouts: Many online searches tie the two terms together due to automated news video playlists (such as CBS News) where reports about Platner's campaign troubles were grouped alongside an unrelated local news segment titled "Stranger saves woman from suspected kidnapping."

• Anti-ICE Speech: Platner previously spoke at an anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) rally where he publicly accused federal agents of "kidnapping and abduction" regarding their enforcement actions in local communities.

Hope that is helpful, Rabel.

The whole Maine Senate fiasco hasn’t been about what’s best for Maine. It’s really about dumping the unreliable Susan Collins who may not be on board with the planned impeachment/show trials next year. That’s why the idiots recruited Platner in the first place.
What’s going down in Maine is a microcosm of what certain Dhimms want for America: Get Trump and fuck regular Americans.

In answer to a question above- they do harvest wild oysters, They also have oyster beds where oysters are planted en masse for later harvesting. Those oyster beds may or may not have private claims attached. Shellfish are also harvested on wooden poles planted in the water.

As to cousin marriage- from things I've read, 1st and 2nd cousin marriage, especially over generations, is genetically unsound and leads to less healthy children. 3rd and 4th cousin marriages actually lead to, on average, healthier children- provided there's not too much endogamy (inbreeding) above. Beyond that, unrelated- or untraceably related except for a trace of shared DNA are the average children. Until you get to mixed race children- who have all kinds of health problems. You can claim all day long, and also at night, that there's no such thing as races. And it can be determined by DNA. The one that is almost taboo to discuss is between Australian Aborigines and anyone else.

AI is politically correct in it's answer- blaming racism (without using the word racism) rather then biology for the health problems.

Is Platner really an oyster farmer? An oyster farmer would cultivate oysters and harvest them. There are oyster farms and people who own/run/work them would have a claim to being an oyster farmer.

I was under the impression that Platner was an oyster dredger or trawler. That he goes out and trawls up a few oysters from time to time.

I could be wrong. The main think I understand about his oystering is that he does very little of it.

The guy was the last Great White Hunky Hope for the libs before Talarico (OK, maybe not "hunky," but what do I know). The oyster farm is a hobbyist tax write-off thing. The only person he ever sold any oysters to was his mom, who owns an upscale restaurant. The guy went to Hotchkiss and pretends to be a working class hero. The rape/assault claims were dismissed by the chattering classes because the women was sort of a Republican; it wasn't until a certified lefty woman said the guy was a creep to her that the allegations got traction. Also ignored was the Nazi tattoo until the guy got radioactive.
All of this was covered right here in great detail at the time. It seems like a lot of people have very short memories.

Nope. Not until Troy Jackson was now in the race. Now, I check off when he discovers GP married his 2nd cousin, throwing a full water bottle at a colleague, tell8ng Susan Collins to " shut up" during a live braidcast debate? Nope. I still wave to him and smile as a neighbor should.
