"People are hungry for real conversation about what’s happening in our democracy and what it will mean for their families.... There will be some discussion, some debate, and hopefully a lot of laughter."

Said Hillary Clinton, quoted in "Hillary Clinton and Kara Swisher to release weekly midterms podcast/The weekly podcast, 'High Stakes,' will aim to dissect the election and its aftermath, Vox Media said" (WaPo).

Weekly... on the topic of the midterms. Starting Wednesday. There are 2 Wednesdays left before election day. But they're covering the "aftermath" too.

I can't imagine looking to Hillary Clinton to satisfy a hunger for real conversation. I will give this post my "Hillary goes away" tag. Somewhat perversely, but you know what I mean. I am so tired of these midterms! I've never seen midterms get so much attention. But I know they are all that saves me from being plunged into the 2028 presidential race, and I don't know how I will take what will be the 7th presidential race in the history of this blog.

Hillary was in Omaha last Saturday. About 300 people attended the event which was at the same time as the biggest UNL football game in years.

"I am thrilled to be here with so many Nebraska Democrats," said Clinton, the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state who lost to Trump in the 2016 general election. "We just have to stay focused and on task, and turn out the vote and celebrate when we take back the House and the Senate."

She said Democrats have an opportunity to "begin to repair what's deliberately been broken," criticizing the Trump administration, particularly the One Big, Beautiful Bill.

Clinton called the legislation a tax cut for billionaires and said its effects on cutting health care are just starting to emerge. She also said the president pivots attention from economic issues to ones that divide people by their identities. "

Note well that neither the Dem candidate for Governor and the House - both women - were not at the event.

Dividing people by identities is what the Dems do.

Speaking of Mangione morality, here's Hillary's new podcast poder, Ms. Swisher:

"Reflecting on [John McLaughlin's] death from prostate cancer in 2016, she wrote, "I'm so glad he's dead. Seriously, I'm glad he's dead. He was a jackass. He deserved it."

Dave Begley said...

Think about it.

Hillary could have been the Leader of the Free World and Commander-in-Chief. We could have enjoyed peace and prosperity with President HRC.

But she got cheated by Obama and Trump. Cheated! Discrimination!

And now she has to visit Omaha and talk to 300 Dem loons on a beautiful Fall Saturday. Omaha! Gag!

But at least she's rich and has the undying love of Bill.

BTW, the photo of Hillary in the OWH was of her butt. I kid you not.

Yes, Hillary, do tell us "what is happening to our Democracy."

Let's start with a candidate and her incumbent administration manufacturing false "evidence" that her opponent is really a Russian asset. All while officials in that very same administration are raking in money (and diamonds) from Russia, Ukraine, China and other foreign actors.

It has become a cliche, but you can tell Hillary's criminal actions by what she accuses her opponents of doing. Not many people earn my "evil" designation, but she's on the short list.

Very telling indeed. They do think of it as "our democracy." The democracy that they own, control, rig and cheat to achieve and maintain power.

Buzz Patterson on X has personal experience in dealing with Hillary. He was the military aide who carried the "football" and the launch codes. Read on:

"On a Clinton official state visit to Mexico City, we were finally done with the events and were heading back to DC. Everybody was excited to get home. Our itinerary was to move from the hotel to the airport on Marine One and then onto Air Force One for the flight home. I was with the president and First Lady on Marine One, the lead helicopter in a formation that included staff and press.

After we lifted off and were halfway to the airport, Hillary suddenly blurted out, “Turn around! Put this back on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo!” The Secret Service guys and I exchanged side glances and rolled eyes. I hopped to, of course. I chatted with the pilots and the Secret Service. It wasn’t safe to turn around.

Marine One was almost to the join-up point with AF One at the airport.  AF-1 was ready to go, and the press plane was as well. These trips were logistical challenges. Back at the hotel landing zone, the Secret Service, the White House Communications Agency, and administration staff were pulling down communications lines, lifting barricades, and driving off in vehicles. The required support for even a helicopter flight was highly involved and extensive, and there was no landing zone security left. The secure launch site no longer existed.

At this point, it wasn’t a good idea to turn around. I approached her, “Ma’am, we can’t do that. We can’t safely do that.” Hillary responded, “I need my sunglasses, god****it! We need to go back!”

Then one of the onboard Secret Service agents chimed in, “Yes, ma’am, the milaide is correct. That wouldn’t be wise.” I suggested that I radio back, ask the staffers to locate the sunglasses, and ask one of the White House valets to bring them home on their flight. She calmed down and acquiesced, but not without smoldering disdain in her eyes. Security be damned, those were her sunglasses! Bill just shrugged and went back to reading his book. The valets and staffers still at the hotel went to work and located the sunglasses in the Clintons’ hotel room. They were safely returned to Hillary the next day.

I’ve been shot at in combat by guys who wanted to kill me. I think at that moment, she did too. Trips without Hillary were akin to Animal House, a frat party. Trips with her always had a Nazi-like edge. Hard to tell which was worse. I preferred the frat parties.

That was Hillary Clinton. And, I have no doubt, it still is."

...and recipes from her extensive email list, no doubt...

The two female candidates were NOT at the event with Hillary. I would have thought they would have enjoyed meeting and being in the presence of such an iconic and historic figure. But they must have determined that it would help them get elected. And both can win.

The internal polling must be saying that people don't like the Democratic party they see which is one dominated by Muslim Communists. This is what RFK Jr. is saying. And also, the Jews must have finally realized that the Islamists will always hate them even if the Commies don't. This must all have created an offshore current as it were, a counter current bouncing off the presence or prospect of actual Commies and antisemites running the Dem party. Hillary is hoping to catch a ride on that current. She always knows what’s happening because she works on it. What’s more, she has policies. But she never has been able to use her knowledge and her policies to turn herself into the fashion. She has always lacked that last political gift. Her ambition and greed show.
