Yeah, that was fun. I've watched two baseball games this season; last night's and today's. I guess I'm committed now.

MLB is at its greatest in the playoffs and the world series. The tension in the last innings can be unbearable.

Go Brewers! Fun season. It needs to end in a World Series victory.

A play at the plate, with a runner all the way from second, is the most exiting play to win a game in baseball. Congratulations. One more win clinches an advance to the National League Championship.

Ted Williams used to say when he fouled it straight back against the hardest throwers he could smell some smoke on the barrel from the friction of the pitch. Chourio sniffed his barrel right after fouling back the 104 mph fastball. Great at bat.

Nice hit!

What a nerve-racking game! I was resigned to losing and we were down to our last out. It was great to be saved at the last moment.

Well our host is a Brewers fan. Nothing wrong with that. But have some pity for us Padre fans. Miller was twice within just one pitch of closing out the game in the 9th and earning the save. And there are some conspiracy theorists out here who think that overhead cable that deflected Ty Frances' probable home run last night meant that the Brewers had four outfielders when they were only allowed three. LOL--I live with a very nice lady who has been a Padre fan for 76 years--ever since she was a 7 year old little girl taking in a Pacific Coast League Game at the old Lane Field on the San Diego waterfront. Her agony today was real.

Uecker guided that hit through.

Ted Williams knew what smoke from the barrel smelled like. He flew 39 combat missions in Korea in Marine F9Fs.

What an ending! I think our neighbors could hear us cheering. Love how the guys near home plate were demonstrating to the thrid base runner on how to slide into home.

Why didn't he help the Brewers last year?

Re: hanuman_prodigious_leaper's link to the Culver's Brew Crew Cheesecake flavor:

Although it says that it is a "limited time only" flavor available in the Milwaukee area on the day of Brewers' home games, you could technically get it custom-made at any Culver's on any day. It does look tasty!

As did Williams' wingman on most of those missions, one John Glenn.

Williams may have been Glenn's wingman.

You are correct. I had it backwards
