Jamison Foser / Finding Gravity:

It's a story of woeful blindness: the focus is unclear, the plot is dark, things that do not exist are seen, and things that exist are unseen.
This gets my favorite tag: "seen and unseen."
And, yes, I know: What the hell is "Finding Gravity"? I'll just say the NYT did a big investigation before publishing its story on the dirty-trick name-game in Alaska. If there's a "new rape allegation," maybe the Times is at the stage of doing an investigation. You can't seriously believe that every allegation of rape should be published immediately... and on the eve of elections.

This is what kills me, the truth about Trump is bad enough, but women believe these rape allegations as much as they believe in gravity. If a 60 year old woman who hates Trump like poison says she was raped by Trump at 14, they will say "A 14 year old girl wouldn't lie about being raped."
Rape allegations form a whole news genre with its own audiences. The split is women on the one hand and guys who mock their credulity on the other.
Rape allegations in the news are never contemporaneous police reports.
It is important to ignore the exploding reindustrialization of the United States and the growing prosperity among native citizens as well.
We also need to ignore the multiple coups that the globalists are currently attempting in Brazil and Europe.
Trump is completely rebuilding and reorienting the world economy for the benefit of the American people and he is doing it with shockingly little bloodshed.
The strait of hormuz will be closed until Europe falls.

If your hallucinations were true it would be enough.
But they aren't true and you are too stupid to figure out what is actually going on. You are just a walking fountain of cognitive dissonance.
You just keep spouting the same stupid fever dreams and everyone ignores you. You are living in a fantasy world created by your own hatred and stupidity.
Given enough time and interest, it will be shown that Trump has raped, or contemplated raping, every female on the planet, ever since he was a teenager. Let's just get that out there now and deal with it.
Its like fan fic for liberals which alas pròvokes more shooters

I don't think I knew that. Maybe I did? My abortion book is called Seen and Unseen.
I probably stole it from you!
Meanwhile Joe Biden and Bill Clinton are both known rapists and women voted for both of them in droves.
…wait- I thought their side was the fascist ruling party? It’s a dirty trick name game within a dirty trick name game…
Maybe finding gravity is like doing peyote or something and being able to see all the invisible rubber bands attached to everything.

Dan Rather would not have hesitated for a second.

This is the elected President of Poland personally ending a coup in real time.
Donald Tusk’s camp declared the Tribunal’s president (Bogdan Święczkowski) “suspended,” sent police to surround the building, and tried to seize control with judges who were never sworn in by the President. Nawrocki cut his trip short, flew home, arrived after midnight with the head of the Supreme Court, and forced his way inside through the pushing and scuffling at the doors.

Good. The conniving Prime Minister Tusk put back in his box.
The NYT finally decides to cover a negative story on the DNC, and is immediately recast as right wing.
Brivael Le Pogam on X:
"A Letter to America, From a Frenchman Who Loves You
Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Poland posted this: "Restoring the rule of law is our duty. After years of PiS-led lawlessness, this is a difficult process, sometimes painful, and it requires decisive action. There is no other way."
Read it slowly. "There is no other way." In today's Europe, that is the sentence a government says right before doing something it could not do through the normal rules.
I'm French. I'm the grandson of a farmer from Brittany. I taught myself to code at twelve, spent a year in Silicon Valley when I was young, and today I build a tech company between Paris and San Francisco. I'm writing to you because I watch what is happening to my continent, and I'm afraid you are about to take the same road.
...
It isn't only Poland. In Romania in December 2024, the Constitutional Court annulled the first round of a presidential election after the wrong candidate came first. In France, a TV channel, C8, lost its broadcasting license in 2025, and this week a member of parliament declared that shutting down CNEWS, the most-watched news channel in the country, is "a priority." In Germany, domestic intelligence labeled the main opposition party extremist. In Brussels, the Digital Services Act gives unelected commissioners the power to fine platforms up to 6% of global revenue, and its first fine ever went to X, with more investigations into "disinformation" still open.
There are no gulags here. Let me be precise about that. But there is a reflex: an elite that knows better than the people, that decides what the people are allowed to read, and that corrects their vote when it comes out wrong.
Now let me tell you why you are the first power on earth.
It's not oil. It's not size. It's not luck. Europe has had all of those. You are number one because you built your entire system on a radical idea: the individual comes before the state. Your First Amendment doesn't say "speech shall be protected unless it's disinformation." It says Congress shall make no law. Your Constitution protects private property against the government that wrote it. And your culture lets people fail and try again.
In France, a founder who fails carries it for life. In America, a founder who fails is called experienced. In Europe, we passed a law to regulate artificial intelligence before we had an AI industry. You built the industry. That's not an accident. That's what happens when a society trusts its citizens more than its bureaucrats.
Your system is not perfect. Your politics are loud, ugly and polarized, and I see it. But it is fairer than ours, because it was designed by people who distrusted power, including the power of good intentions. That distrust is the most valuable thing you own.
...
The twentieth century already ran the collectivist experiment, and it ran it to the end. Every time a state decided that individuals were a means to a collective goal, and that some category of people stood in the way of justice, it ended in camps and mass graves. Tens of millions dead. But it never started with camps. It started with good intentions, a moral elite, and a list of things that were too dangerous to say, too much to own, too misinformed to count.
...
Keep your First Amendment. Keep your property. Keep your right to fail. Vote on Tuesday.
From Paris, with love, and with fear."

Kudos to the Alaska governor. Remember Commies, you lectured us that state run elections are sacrosanct. So butt out if Gov. Dunleavy refuses to certify the lying fraud.

Good one, boatbuilder.
I’m seeing very little from Poland.

@ggreenwald
"The center of the Brazil story is not Flavio Bolsonaro but rather Alexandre de Moraes, who has utterly destroyed the credibility of the Brazilian justice system and its democracy through years of escalating persecution against critics, dissidents and political opponents, all while the Brazilian left celebrated him for doing it.
That's why countries now routinely reject Brazil's extradition requests in Moraes' cases, and why international media has continuously warned of Brazilian authoritarianism as a result of the censorship and imprisonment regime that the Brazilian left built with Moraes as its leader. (And all of that is separate from the massive corruption scandal he's at the middle of, where his family received $40 million from the corrupt billionaire who caused Brazil's largest-ever banking collapse).
If you don't start your "reporting" about the Bolsonaro/US case by emphasizing that it was Moraes who ordered Bolsonaro's passport seized and banned him from leaving the country -- as an obvious prelude to arresting him even though he's been charged with no crimes -- then there's no way to understand what happened here let alone explain to readers and viewers why Flavio Bolsonaro would never have gotten anything remotely resembling a fair trial."
That's the kind of fascism American democratic progs are salivating over.
MadTownGuy--that Frenchman is absolutely correct, except that he stopped short of the other vital right that preserves the First Amendment. Which is the Second Amendment.
(I say this as a person who last year purchased the only gun I have ever owned--a .22 rifle).
In Nebraska, Bar discipline proceedings were brought against a lawyer who criticized an elected Sheriff on a matter of public safety.
The First Amendment is under attack and I’m the target. I still can’t believe it.
"This gets my favorite tag: 'seen and unseen.' I don't think I knew that. Maybe I did? My abortion book is called Seen and Unseen. I probably stole it from you!"
My tag goes back to 2005 — here. But that was added retrospectively. Here's where I create the tag: "Things seen and unseen" (and quoting the Nicene Creed as the source of the phrase).
That was September 16, 2011. Discussed in the context of affirmative action and the death penalty. And later the same day, here, in the context of a vaccine requirement.
On April 13, 2013, I use the tag when discussing abortion: "Let's talk about the morality of the seen and the unseen. This is a shallow morality that infects our lives. If the human entity is inside the womb, and it is cut into pieces that is one thing, but if it's "partially born" so that a nurse sees it clenching and unclenching its fists as it meets its demise, it's another. And if it slips entirely out, and everyone sees a living child and then the doctor severs its spine, then everyone is supposed to know it's murder. From the inside, these deaths are all the same. But no one sees from the inside of that now-dead brain. Why not shine a bright light on Kermit Gosnell and yell monster? Make it clear to everyone that you think he is so different from properly professional abortionists. If you don't, you reveal that you have a nagging suspicion that he is not. And that's the one thing you don't want anyone to see."
You are very active in the comments there, saying things like "Bravo" and "Althouse amazes me with her intellectual honesty."
The New York Times would never print baseless rumors about a Republican just before an election!!! They're cruelly neutral that way. Also- Trump Rape! Trump Rape! Trump Rape!
Alaskan Democratic Senate candidate runs clear election trick in front of the entire nation for months. The NY Times finds it in their conscience to do a story on it 4 days before the election. And the feeling out there is "But Trump!".
Then..because the entire Democratic operation knew, planned, and did nothing about this low and obvious election dirty trick, if the Republicans react it'll clearly be a Trump operation to prevent the Democrats from taking their proper place as the majority.
Then the Justice Department confirms they are investigating even as its focus remains unclear.
Unclear? Perhaps to a 3 year old. Any breathing adult knows exactly what has been going on with this. But Trump!
If you think things are bad now...whoo boy. Just wait. If Dems take both houses, you'd best be prepared for parades of endless subpoenas flowing daily. And more. Much much more.

May Trump turn full Nero and finish the job of burning the GOP to the ground. Whichever way the votes go, the world will witness a tantrum like "never before"...!
The rape accusation came out before the last election. Now it returns, with details that may be different from the first account. The woman says she fears for her life. Has she been afraid for the last 2 or 10 or 30 years?

Even if it turns out that this was the brainchild of Mary Peltola, so what? It is certainly unethical and immoral but is not illegal. If lying constituted a crime, then Trump would be doing several life terms.
Freder: Remember Trump's "Convicted felon" status? How much you leftists scream and scream about that? What was he "convicted for?" According to the left, "election interference" by doing what? Writing a check to his lawyer to, allegedly, pay money to hush up an affair. That was supposedly election interference because it "deprived the people of important news!" And that was 34 counts.
So this is textbook election interference by Peltola, and she should be treated exactly how the left treats Trump. Right?
Right?
"You can't seriously believe that every allegation of rape should be published immediately... and on the eve of elections. "
At this point, we should just assume that every politician is a rapist and vote for the rapist we prefer. They are also all crooks who kick the dog when they come home.
Now. Who will do the best job when they are not raping and stealing and kicking?

Though I obviously don't know how the elections will turn out, if the left was confident of winning ... why are they churning out crap like this.
You'd think they'd be happy. Instead - even on the cusp of possibly winning - they're still miserable assholes.

Nope. The super smart people on this blog think Republicans deliberately tried to confuse their own voters just to make the Democrat look dishonest.
