Anthropic backers eye $2T valuation for IPO this fall ~ LinkedIn
$2T x 20% return because the risk is gargantuan = $400B in annual free cash flow / 25% free cash flow margin to be incredibly generous = $1.6T in revenue required.
Assume annualized revenue of $100B by the end of 2026, so they need to grow revenue by $1.5T, on top of SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, Meta, Microsoft, all of the Chinese AI companies, Mistral, and every other smaller AI company plus all of the hardware makers like Nvidia.
For those of you running companies, how many of you are forecasting doubling your IT spend every year for the next few decades and are backing that up with supporting revenue growth or expense offsets?
By way of comparison, total current global IT spend is some $6T. This likely includes what's going into data center builds now. These AI values need another $10T+ in incremental revenue plus perpetual growth to justify the planned capex. So the world is going to more than double IT spend and grow that forever.

I've read that the age of Aisha is one of the major disputes in Islam, dividing Sunni and Shiite. That's what A.I. is saying now, and I've read that elsewhere. AI says that a Sunni Muslim believes that Muhammad married at 6 and consummated the marriage at 9. While a Shiite Muslim thinks she was 19. Pretty good discussion on this reddit thread.
A 15-year-old son of Iraqi refugees turned a free Viennese schoolgirl into his Sklavin, forcing conversion, the hijab, and repeated rape while invoking Allah’s name to threaten death, exactly reproducing the Quran’s category of ma malakat aymanukum, “what your right hands possess.”. Horrifying.
Honestly my experience with Muslims in the USA has been nothing but positive. I knew a Muslim attorney, who would go off and pray secretly five times a day. Nice guy. I asked him once about Sufis and he got so mad. He really did not like Sufis.
In film school I knew a guy, a refugee from Afghanistan, I actually never knew what his religion was. Might have been a Christian, for all I know, or a Sufi. He was a sweetheart of a man, very humble, he would make a little prayer gesture with his hands whenever anybody showed him any kindness. I helped him with his English on his screenplay, and acted in one of his movies. I asked him once, by e-mail, if he was a Christian or a Sufi or what, and he kind of ducked the question. To me, he was a very spiritual guy, and I had a lot of respect for him.
I think in the USA we have been very careful with what countries immigrants come from. So we haven't had seen the rape networks that have rocked the UK and other places.

I worked with a very loquatious eggman overnights at Kroger. They're having a serious southwestern salmonella outbreak there -- killed dozens in one state. He says the FDA guidelines are useless because the affected area ships their eggs to fast food places and restaurants all over the country, to places not on the FDA list, and add them raw in pre-baked bakery items shipped around the country, including for thing like brownies and meringue that are not cooked to temperature. Or worse, Ceasar salad dressing and Carpaccio.
He spent his working, and perhaps leisure, life thinking about eggs. He subscribed to an egg farmer newsletter. He said to be very cautious of farm to table eggs, because even the well-intentioned range in knowledge. I learned all there is to know about eggs from him (I thought chickens breastfed their offspring: I did not tell him that). He delighted in showing me cracked and broken eggs and describing the trajectory of the way they broke. He taught me all the layers of eggs; their cultural significance to different people around the world, and the inherent, yet different dangers affecting both factory and free-range eggs.

Also note that our investment in Iran is less than 10% of what we invested in Ukraine. We sent piles of actual cash and much of our weapons stockpiles to Ukraine.
Biden's war in Ukraine was orders of magnitude more costly and Inflation during the Biden years was always more than double what it has been under Trump.
But these morons bleat and blab. They are just stupid people saying the things they are told to say.
It seems like ancient history now, but there was actually a period at the turn of the century, from 1997 to 2000, when the US government ran a large annual fiscal surplus and there was mounting consternation bordering on panic on Wall Street and in the wider global financial markets, that the US government was on track for repaying all its outstanding debt, with projections from both the Clinton administration and the CBO showing that the entire outstanding public debt of the US would be eliminated around 2010, and hence issuance of US Treasuries was going to be severely curtailed, if not outright ended.
What a interesting turnaround it has been though, with first the Dotcom bust and 9/11 and then the GFC setting into motion the trend for huge and rising fiscal deficits and a commensurate surfeit of US Treasuries issuance and federal government borrowing, that gained even further momentum during the Covid "recession-let" and is now firmly headed towards the moon.
Total US Federal government debt was just a little over $ 5.7T at end-2000, and it is now reaching and breaching the $ 40T mark.
What would be really quaint is when the power-duo of Bessent and Warsh are forced to eat their words and swallow their price and jettison their much-advertised deep aversion to QE and a large Fed balance sheet and bring back QE and its cousins to try and hold down the long end of the UST curve and cap government debt servicing costs.
Crazy to think that the US empire peaked in the late 90s and is squandering a winning hand in just a quarter of a century.
Served in the United States Navy 1965-1972, spent 3.8 years on the USS CASAGRANDE LSD13. Lived in New York while stationed out of Little Creek Virginia. We deployed 6-8 months to the Mediterranean and back to port for a month and then to San Juan for military shakedowns and operations. I had 2 children born at that time and the short period in port I was able to hitchhike from Virginia to New York and I would get home and my 2 children had no clue who I was and were afraid of me. Signing up for PBR dutY in the South Vietnam waterways as a 2nd class Boatswain mate and boat coxswain and between deployments with the 5th Fleet ,being away was part of the commitment I made to serve the country and during the bogus VIETNAM war(another based on lies conflict) I buried friends and saw much time away from my loved ones. I knew people that didn't make it through their enlistments due to mental health ,physical health and criminal activities but following orders and serving where sent was part of the SERVICE. There is only about .o4% of the population that actually serve(add in reserve, national guard etc.06%) GET THE NUKES, GULF OF TONKIN,WEAPONS MASS DESTRUCTION ETC, all bogus entries into WAR mostly without Congressional approval and by people with alternative motives BUT my opinion is if you signed up to serve than that's what you did, followed orders and did your bid. I salute those who served, the ones that didnt make it back and the ones still placed in harms way. John Mosby thank you for your service, its a different time and a different breed of armed forces now but may God bless those who decide to defend the country against its enemies Foreign AND domestic!
a) deficit and debt are very different things; the shell game of pretending that Bill Clinton magically zeroed out the "debt" is pure BS.
b) the dotcom boom and congressional spending limits (led by Newt Gingrich) produced one year of US government spending below revenues. The debt nonetheless continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace. The debt under Trump is pretty much consistent with the long-term historical trend. Not necessarily a good thing, but hardly an outlier. https://www.investopedia.com/us-national-debt-by-year-7499291
The deficit/debt distinction is correct, but it’s being asked to do an awful lot of rhetorical heavy lifting here. Nobody claims Bill Clinton “magically eliminated the debt.” He produced actual budget surpluses, and those surpluses reduced debt held by the public. The fiscal turnaround was hardly just the dot-com boom; it reflected stronger growth, rising revenues and fiscal restraint as well.
And calling the pre-COVID Trump deficits merely “the long-term historical trend” is a little generous. The deficit rose from 3.5% of GDP in 2017 to 4.6% in 2019, even before the pandemic, and CBO noted that the 2019 deficit was well above the 50-year average.
So yes, deficit and debt are different things. But that distinction doesn’t make the numbers disappear, it just changes which numbers we’re arguing about.

The DJIA grew 53% in the last 5 years, S&P 77%, NASDAQ 99%. Good thing you took your money out, fool.

We all should study all 3 books of Islam - not just the Koran.
In it we will find that big MO was a slave owning pedophile.
"Does anyone on this Wisconsin adjacent blog believe that Hong’s election was NOT stolen by Tony Evers and his cronies?"
What are you, some sort of Election Denier?
a) deficit and debt are very different things; the shell game of pretending that Bill Clinton magically zeroed out the "debt" is pure BS.
b) the dotcom boom and congressional spending limits (led by Newt Gingrich) produced one year of US government spending below revenues. The debt nonetheless continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace. The debt under Trump is pretty much consistent with the long-term historical trend. Not necessarily a good thing, but hardly an outlier.

I hope to live long enough to see all the mosques in the country razed and replaced with pig farms and dog kennels.
But these morons bleat and blab. They are just stupid people saying the things they are told to say.
You there, Mark?
