22-year-old Laken Snelling has admitted to killing her newborn baby by "depriving him of oxygen."

"I was under a lot of emotional stress and my baby came unexpectedly... And instead of helping him I ended his life and afterwards I cleaned up and didn’t tell anyone," she said in court.

She has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and concealing the birth of an infant.

None of what Bessent is saying makes sense.

The US government runs a deficit and will basically have to borrow to buy its own debt, i.e. the net-effect is zero on the total debt (and rate direction) other than perhaps to massage the yield curve around.

Furthermore, Bessent saying there was "a very good chance" that the US would begin to lower its fiscal deficit is almost laughable given the illegality of tariffs (i.e. billions in refunds), and a request for a $1.5T defense budget, an increase of 44%.

Only the Fed can “create” money, not the Treasury Department unless we go back to QE where the Fed is tasked to buy treasuries.

That argument boils down to: “I don’t own Treasury bonds, so why care if their value is destroyed?” But national finance affects everyone.

Treasuries are not held only by wealthy foreigners. U.S. banks alone held about $4.8 trillion in Treasury and agency securities as of early August.

These assets support banks, money-market funds, pensions, insurers, and the broader credit system. A 40% loss would ripple through markets, raising borrowing costs, depressing asset prices, weakening retirement accounts, and restricting credit.

Inflation can reduce debt’s real value; deliberately devaluing or repudiating U.S. obligations by 40% would be a severe credit shock.

Creditors could respond by demanding higher yields, making government borrowing more expensive and leaving less money for other priorities.

But, of course they were criminals. They lied to the American people, to Congress, and those in the DOJ and FBI. IT was fake, from the git-go. The FBI lied about how many undercover agents they had there that day (274), how many confidential informants/instigators they had there, etc. for five years, as well as how many busses of AntiFA were coming, and were there. They cut the information out from access by the Capital Police and to the White House. They had multiple pre protest meetings, and an interagency command post. Except that the Capital Police and the WH had no knowledge of it. And Congress, under the direction of Speaker Pelosi, cherry-picked the video made available to then DOJ and the J6 defendants.

Think about it for a minute. 274 undercover FBI agents mixed into the crowds of protesters that day. And FBI CIs photographed engaging in AntiFA style instigation. Then, by declaring the J6 protests a national conspiracy, they used national security resources (Under FISA) to go through the communications of thousands of people across the country, indicting people who hadn’t been within a thousand miles of the Capital that day. Not stopping there, they went through the electronic communications of two dozen Republican members of Congress (mostly prominent Rep Senators).

It was an epical abuse of federal law enforcement, intelligence community, and Congressional, power. I don’t know of anything close in our history. And then we have posters, like IEE who pretend that it had never existed.; 22-08-26 6:05 PM

But those questions don’t magically validate every conspiracy theory attached to them.

The DOJ Inspector General found no evidence that undercover FBI employees were embedded in the crowds or at the Capitol. It identified 26 FBI confidential sources in Washington, but found no evidence that any was authorized or directed to enter the Capitol, enter the restricted area, or incite illegal activity.

The OIG did find genuine FBI failures, including poor intelligence coordination and inaccurate reporting to Congress—but attributed them to confusion and poor coordination, not an intentional conspiracy.

And “they lied, therefore they were criminals” is an especially curious argument from an attorney. Criminal guilt requires proof of a specific offense and its elements, not a sufficiently emphatic accusation. A pardon isn’t proof of innocence, but neither is it a conviction.
