"Do you see your job as ending vaccine hesitancy or do you see your job as telling the truth to the American people?... All you know how to do is repeat things that people told you and say trust the experts. That's what you do.... Now we know that Anthony Fauci, who was the expert, was lying about everything about masks, about social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID. He was lying. And you were punishing people for not trusting the experts. And now you're rolling out the experts again to talk about something that you have no personal knowledge of...."
CNN is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount has a deal to buy it. But a federal judge appointed by Biden has delayed the deal. This judge used to be a public defender.
When the deal goes through, Ellison needs to fire just about everyone at CNN. Big bath. Clean slate. Current people have no credibility. And no audience.
“He lied about everything” is a slogan, not an argument. Changing guidance in response to new evidence isn’t the same as intentional deception. If every revised scientific conclusion is recast as a lie, then no expert can ever update their views without being accused of fraud. That’s not a standard of evidence—it’s a recipe for permanent distrust.
I had to stop watching about 5 minutes in. Dana was getting her ass handed to her.
It was telling, heck stunning actually but so brief, it was likely sort of not noticed, but it took RFK about 5 secs to say get the Measles Vax but dang neat 2 minutes for Dana to frame it in an accusatory manner followed by some back and forth before RFK said, yeah, get it, it’s perfectly safe.
"What's record on gain of function saving lives versus losing them?"
It's actually much worse than RFK's assertion that there hasn't been a case of GOF stopping or slowing a pandemic. In the case of covid, GOF research built the damn thing. How much more information about the virus do you think you're going to have than that? Didn't do a whole hell of a lot of good.
IEE in denial strikes again (10:37). He and the other lefties are the friends of science. Never mind the lies and coverups (wet source, vaccine deaths). Never mind the oppression (masks, no gatherings, vaccine, job losses, arrests). Never mind the unnecessary economic losses and disruption of our kids’ education. Science required all that. /s BTW, IEE, friend of science, what is a woman?
He lied about 6 ft - he made that up. He lied about masks being protective against the vaccine - they weren’t. He lied about the need for a broad vaccine mandate - it was only required for those with certain chronic illnesses. He lied about what the scientific community was stating as the origin of the virus. It exhibited manual interventions, and most likely came from the lab. He participated in writing a doc stating it was from the wet market then touted the doc without disclosing his hand in writing it. He lied about other viable treatment options. “He lied about everything” is a true statement based on what we now know, including by his own words from his diary.
Any revisions he did were done for politics - his politics - not for our general welfare. He single handedly destroyed any trust we had in CDC, FDA, NIH, etc.
Given his treachery, I’d like to know how much money he made from the start of COVID through to today, from the COVID pandemic.
Fauci and his pals awarded each other with money and accolades - it was all insider looped bullshit. Then the leftwing cultists and hacks dutifully censored doctors and well - censored any and everyone who didn't tow the line.
The biggest lie was the "wet market" lie. A lie that Kak-a-Nag buys.
“He lied about everything” is a slogan, not an argument. Changing guidance in response to new evidence isn’t the same as intentional deception.
Fauci: "When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent ... Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, "I can nudge this up a bit," so I went to 80, 85. We need to have some humility here .... We really don’t know what the real number is. I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I'm not going to say 90 percent."
No science was used in the making of the above statements.
Dana still on censorious mode and doesn't see it. Blinded by her biased/advocacy for the feature of the handling of Covid that probably unnecessarily added to the death rate. That being, allowing doctors to do medicine, and then then getting their feedback on what showed promise and what didn't, instead of dictating from the top what they could and could not do. Dana is completely unwilling to even listen to that.
Remember this retard believes that men can have babies and that if you are protesting for George Floyd you are safe from COVID.
But pointing out Fauci was caught lying about numerous things is a recipe for permanent distrust.
Democrats, crooked AGs and judges, are all in on lawfare to save CNN. In terms of of provable corruption destroying the remaining integrity of the legal system ranks up there with shoving a demented President down our throats.
"He lied about everything” is a slogan, not an argument."
A truth being widely repeated does not make it false. He was honest sometimes, but only to his diary. Or was that the lies and the public stuff the truth? As he was asked before congress: "Did you lie to your diary?" And he answered honestly: "On the advice of council..."
1. I don't mind that she wants to argue, but to pretend you're just a neutral truth seeker is insulting. She's an advocate. As they say, don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
2. Things aren't so easy when you receive pushback and your talking points don't help. She, along with most these talking heads, simply aren't that smart.
3. It's amazing they still believe waving the "experts say" wand ends the debate. They are there to advance a narrative and agenda, not inform their audience, and frankly that's probably what she believes her job is because that's what the higher-ups want.
And I am still going to say that RFK has been an absolute disappointment.
We still have Statins on the market and the drug companies have a monopoly position on compounds the human body makes naturally and have been synthesized cheaply for decades.
That nasty bitch - the paragon of CNN's coterie of nasty bitches - came to that interview looking for a piece of Trump scalp, of course, per CNN's standard approach to all stories. She had trouble with that, thanks to RFK's butting heads with her.
I guess I'll temporarily look past Kennedy's dishonest pretending that he's not an anti-vaxxer because it was so sweet watching him put the Queen of RBF in her place. Good god, Dana Bash is terrible.
Imagine how differently this interview would be if he never joined up with Trump, even if he made the same arguments.
He is actually challenging one of the real powers behind the curtain.
He just isn't really trying that hard.
Our health care costs drop 50% in a year if the country just stops eating carbs and being fat.
But a shocking amount of our GDP goes into making food that makes people fat and then giving them drugs when they get sickness caused by insulin resistance.
The Fifth Column Fourth Estate. If I was granted a wish bestowed on someone else, it would be to correct Junior's dysphonia problem. He's very good at advocating, and he got Dana Bash flustered pretty quickly.
I admit that I was shocked to hear Junior' say that the RSV and Lyme disease public health problems are likely to have come from gain of function studies. Is anybody else surprised by this? I certainly am.
I am not disappointed at all with what Junior' has accomplished.
Notice how many warnings are in the ads for drugs on TV. Where are the warning about the injections they forced on you with far less testing? That seems suspicious, no?
The Covid jabs are vaxxxines or non-sterilizing injections, thus the dictated mandates to mask the dispositive incongruities of policies during the transdemic.
Serious question. What would it take for the vast majority of the American people to understand that the media constantly lied about the covid facts and covered for the Dems?
The US response to covid was a disaster and Fauci was the main cause. People really suffered. I'd think that the people who were hurt would be mad as hell.
When media hacks say "Experts say" - you know you are being bullshited and lied to.
The Covid vaccine - which is still a grift machine for Big Pharma - at best is a therapy - at worst, it will cause long term harm. (& no - I am not anti-vax. Many vaccines are important and effective. (Tho - not everyone can take them safely.))
"I admit that I was shocked to hear Junior' say that the RSV and Lyme disease public health problems are likely to have come from gain of function studies. Is anybody else surprised by this? I certainly am."
I have not heard that before either. I sure hope it's not true.
I have seen somewhere the theory that Lyme disease originated (or was first discovered?) where it did (Lyme, CT) because Lyme is just across Long Island Sound (and dead downwind) from the U.S. Defense Department's Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center; I have not heard or seen any compelling support for it, but I haven't looked.
IEE TM is wrong again. Science has put forward and abandoned just as many falsities as it has so-called truth. The history of science is littered with them. That might not be lying, but don’t tell me that science is truth or that science only produces truth. The best you can say is that science produces the best explanation. therefore, all scientific truth must remain tentative forever
And if CNN and Dana Bash were about “the truth”, they would be explaining all sides of various arguments in the scientific debate, instead of taking sides in the scientific debate. Because anybody who understands the history of science knows that what is true in science is a matter of consensus of the most vocal and powerful scientists, and the method of that consensus being formed is a sociological, not a scientific phenomenon. Yet hear is CNN in there helping warp science by making it an even more sociological phenomenon.
I have noticed that the communist democrats and their media now constantly gaslight. Every story is a half truth. Either cherry picked and edited to support their party or information omitted that contradicts their headlines. The ice anctions are prime example. They seldom if ever provide the rational for the action. Just the sad, sad, sad illegal alien who has been her for decades illegally and never bothered to try and get papers.
There was a time, not very long ago, when I would have dismissed the Plum Island thing out of hand, as a piece of ill-informed lunacy. Not so much these days.
RFK Jr. says you shouldn’t get a Covid vaccine. All doctors and research results say you should. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.
Americans who die young from preventable infectious diseases are only making the rest of us stronger.
What surprises me about these interviewers is that they have no curiosity. Her job is to counter everything he says and then to get snippy and demand to change the subject when RFK makes a good point. Also to say Trump every time Fauci is mentioned. RFK is exceeding my expectations. The whole Trump team is. And the fact that he mentioned that the lockdowns essentially betrayed the constitution - well done.
@SpaceCityGirl: The flaw in that argument is confusing “science changed as evidence accumulated” with “someone was lying.” Fauci’s guidance evolved because COVID itself evolved and the data improved — from limited early information to a better understanding of transmission, masks, vaccines, and immunity. That’s how science works.
Calling every updated recommendation “censorship” assumes there was a hidden truth being suppressed, rather than a messy public health response to a novel virus.
I completely understand your frustration, Achilles. The deep state stopped Elon and Doge from reforming the bureaucratic administrative state just like they are stopping RFK jr. Jr. is staying in the fight Even though he has been stripped of much of his power. Elon had to go back to building rocket ships.
I got the vaccine and one booster as soon as I was eligible. I got it because I'm in a high risk group, and I grew up believing in vaccines. This was not a vaccine, and if I knew what I know now, I would have skipped it. The testing was incomplete and the results censored. It was ineffective, as I still got Covid at least twice, and every vaccinated person I know got it. Almost every American got it. That can't be considered a vaccine. If they said you will still get it, Pharma, doctors, media, and Fauci all would have made a lot less money. I think I got it based on good reasoning, but bad information. I regret getting it. I had a heart attack just weeks after my second shot. Coincidence? Maybe, but I had no history of heart disease, and had a cardiac exam just before the pandemic.
Fauci wasn't lying at first. He was taking best expert guess given the information around. Lying was later when COVID became a political advantage vehicle.
Slow the spread keeps everybody from requiring a respirator at once. Turns out respirators were not a plus but that wasn't the best guess at the time.
Masks assumes that the virus hitches a ride on saliva, which masks stop. Likewise social distancing. Droplets fall to the ground. Turned out that virus didn't hitch rides but just went on its own. Say launched by vibrating vocal cords. Group singing was a hotbed of transmission.
Original vax worked as desired and as advertised on the original virus and in fact killed it off. Graphs of new cases show exactly theoretical result of change of Rzero from bigger than one to smaller than one when the vax was released.
Didn't work on subsequent variants and they were extrapolating to the point of lying then when they said it was the expert opinion. Also in following years.
Vax didn't keep you from getting the original variant of from transmitting it. It just made it unlikely enough so that the pandemic couldn't survive. Changing Rzero from bigger than one to smaller than one.
How much you got or transmitted depended on where you hung out.
I think of her as "Dana Unabashed." Did she get that way by looking at herself in the mirror too much?
By the time any argument is discussed on the internet, it has become a slogan, or worse -- a meme. That doesn't mean the arguments are invalid. There is much truth in them, and the other side has its own slogans -- and outright lies. Attacking the slogan or the meme rather than the evidence against one's own viewis a version of the "straw man" argument.
The data regarding Covid cases, response etc is mostly based on PCR tests which the inventor warned against using. Also, there were financial incentives for finding someone Covid positive.
You know what a slogan is? "2 weeks to stop the spread", "Follow the science", "Covid denier", things people say that are intended to influence not inform.
There was an early COVID-19 official response, and a later COVID-19 official response. The early phase was in reaction to a whole host of unknowns, and the public decision-makers had a very tough time trying to make good choices, with so much unverified data out there.
I have a lot of sympathy for people that step up and shoulder the weight under those circumstances. They deserve slack and a good bit of benefit-of-the-doubt, and acceptance that they're trying to do the best they can, rightly or wrongly.
You can't discard the decisions of early COVID-19 as if they didn't happen, but they were happening in an arena where there were a lot of unknown unknowns. Two-week Lockdowns could be defended under those circumstances, for instance.
The past week, with the disclosures from the Diary of the Poison Dwarf, and the examination of same, represents the second phase, where cynical gains were the rule of the day.
This is the phase under current scrutiny, where the term 'science' was a deflector shield representing 'obedience'. I hope there's more of this to come, in particular the profit motive and its close association with interested parties having patent rights, and so forth.
I notice that the Fifth Column Fourth Estate spends quite a bit of time pushing COVID-19 discussions back and forth from one phase to the next, when it suits them. When accountability is proposed for players in the second phase, all of a sudden attention is directed back to the first phase. Funny that.
I don't think there is any question that Fauci lied. We have Fauci's word that he he lied. I think it's possible that at least some of his lies were told with benign intent, but he definitely told some whoppers........From what I see on AI, Canada has a measles infection rate that is eight times the rate of the USA's. The measles' epidemic here is not in any way Kennedy's fault. I would be that Dana Bash knows this, but she prefers to use all available shivs when interviewing Kennedy.
"Americans who die young from preventable infectious diseases are only making the rest of us stronger."
Interesting to compare how many young Americans would've died from Covid itself vs. the complications of the vaccine with heart issues. For most immuno-regular young Americans, the vaccine was unneeded.
"The early phase was in reaction to a whole host of unknowns, and the public decision-makers had a very tough time trying to make good choices, with so much unverified data out there."
At the time (March 2020), I worked for an agency that had Sun Pharma as a client. They made hydroxychloroquine tablets. We were told to get ready several digital ads touting the fact that they made them and they could help with Covid. Several doctors were having success with that medication (early with combinations of other drugs) and then within 1-2 weeks, we shut the whole thing down because we were told hydroxychloroquine didn't work. It was now "minsinformation." But why if actual doctors were having actual, real documented success with it. (Always used as a specific protocol)
Was it because that drug was generic with no patent and thus, you could not make any money from it?
Who made those decisions? Why were certain MDs ignored or outright censored vs. others? Why was Scott Gottlieb suddenly thrust in front of America on every cable channel?
So I don't necessarily subscribe to the "it was early, no one knew what was going on" aspect to the entire thing. Decision were made for very particular reasons, even early on.
There have been a staggering number of things that experts and newsmen got wrong in the recent past. I have never heard any acknowledgement or apology for these past missteps. That doesn't help with their credibility........Obviously, Trump was wrong about Iran being over quickly and he gets called out on it all the time. Obviously, they were wrong about making kids wear masks and cancelling classes, but no public official has gone on record to say "my bad' and no newsman nails them on previous mistakes
Scott Gottlieb left the FDA early in 2019 and then almost immediately joined Pfizer's board using the well-greaased revolving door. He represents the dark underbelly of Washington influence pedding, if you ask me. He was never making public policy decisions about COVID-19 as a member of the administration, but had a lot of input as a Pfizer shareholder. Profit motive from Day 1. He's one of the worst, in my view.
'...Why was Scott Gottlieb suddenly thrust in front of America on every cable channel? ...'
A sitting board member of Pfizer being trotted out and referred to as only the 'Former Head of FDA' on the chyron, touting vaccines for everybody, is precisely my point when I say 'Fifth Column Fourth Estate'.
As usual, gadfly is half-right. (That's his entire act. There isn't a gadfly comment anywhere in the Althouse archives that isn't a half-truth.) Fauci isn't a nutcase. He's a criminal on the same level of capability as Adolf Eichmann. Like Eichmann, Anthony Fauci has never personally murdered anyone, but he criminally facilitated the deaths of millions.
So let me see< who was president at the COVID TIME? Isnt the president in charge and responsible for everything under his watch and wasnt the president giving daily speeches on COVID and sticking lights up your butt and cleaning out with bleach? Fauci is the scapegoat? Trump launched Operation Warp Speed in May 2020 to quickly create and distribute COVID-19 vaccines because he viewed a fast medical solution as essential to reopening the economy and ending the pandemic, despite at times downplaying the virus publicly.(so it was trump pushing the vaccine,,is that what this says,,read closely?)The pandemic caused massive business closures and job losses. A rapid vaccine was seen as the fastest way to safely reopen society. Delivering a historic medical breakthrough was a central part of trumps administration's strategy to handle the crisis and boost his leadership standing during an election year.(the reason he lost the election because he was inept) even while minimizing public panic or questioning restrictions, his administration poured billions into de-risking pharmaceutical development to ensure the U.S. led the world in producing a fix(yeah only I can fix it scenario, he thought it was so bad he took it ,got best treatment available and gave absurd daily briefs eliminating the science team as they shrugged and listened to his nonsense. trump was the real liar in the whole ordeal therefore 2020 ELECTION loser. You dont like the 5th ,check out the role models of using this article. All you can do is banter back and forth and it aint going nowhere,, another reflection pool delusion from the same guy in charge. Rand Pauls' butthurt interrogation is going nowhere.
"...public decision-makers had a very tough time trying to make good choices,"
The problem is that it looks like they weren't that interested in making good decisions. They were driven by financial incentives, and an overpowering desire to cover their asses and make partisan political choices about who and how to regulate. I don't blame them. Who doesn't like money, power, and avoiding blame. That's why we shouldn't roll over when they do it. Can you really justify arresting people for being outside, on the beach, in the ocean, or not masking in public, shutting down business and firing people, all which started very quickly. We kept people from seeing dying relatives. We fired people for refusing to be injected with a new experimental drug. The thing was driven by hysteria and lies, not information. It would not be possible now, just like successfully hijacking a plane became unlikely after 9/11, and not because of TSA. Both will return when memories fade.
"Can you really justify arresting people for being outside, on the beach, in the ocean, or not masking in public..."
when the people insisting on those rules only followed them when it was convenient (read: in front of MSM reports for public consumption) and otherwise ignored them, when it was convenient?
Trump didn't say one thing and do the opposite. He got things in motion in case it got bad, but didn't commit to taking away people' rights as his first and only response. He tried to avoid the damage that was produced after he left, when most of the damage and deaths happened. If you think the vaccine was a good thing, that was Trump. If you think forcing it on people and shutting down the country was bad, that wasn't him.
“ RFK Jr. says you shouldn’t get a Covid vaccine. All doctors and research results say you should. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.”
Well this is blatant half truth again. My doctor told me in no uncertain terms that I should not get the vaccine. So your assertion is crap. There were many, many brave doctors and health care scientists saying don’t get the vaccine, and they were subsequently suspended, had licenses and hospital permissions taken away and sometimes prosecuted.
There is an actual epidemic of men who have developed heart issues post COVID jab.
Strange how the Soviet Democratic Media are not interested - curious - or are examining w/ open discussions on the topic. No "experts" to be found. Well - they prefer their Fauci-type "experts".... AKA frauds and false-narrative pimps.
Grok tells me that there is no evidence yet that the vaccine causes clots or heart blockages, although other heart issue are correlated. I can accept that's possible, but not because Grok tells me. He told me once that I didn't live in my zip code. I was terrified that I had been kidnapped. Nobody paid the ransom, so I went home.
I saw Fauci change his opinion about the vaccine from only reducing the severity of COVID in vulnerable population to it conferring immunity and stopping transmission, which was not in evidence in the short trial of the vaccine according to the report.
The female talking head Fauci was on screen with at the time, kept at Fauci saying vaccines gave immunity and stopped transmission. It was the talking head point of the time that "vaccines" all gave immunity and stopped transmission so therefore the COVID vaccine. They repeated and berated guests who said differently.
Fauci was a weak man who was "bullied" into that opinion when he claimed to be "The Science". Some science that can't stand on facts in evidence.
Dinky with his supposed victory on the reflecting pool reminds me of Al Bundy endlessly bathing his ego in the touchdown he scored in high school. Except celebrating a temporary failure to effectively repair a long-neglected national monument makes it seem like your playing for the wrong team.
Horseshit. You must be fucking kidding. You don't remember when college football season came around and 100,000 people gathered together cheering and shouting in stadiums all over the country with ZERO outbreaks? Your shorts are on too tight, smart guy.
>Peachy+2 said... Bagoh - Your heart attack was probably caused by the untested vaccine.<
Bagoh - Your heart attack was probably caused by the usual causes of heart attacks that have been understood for decades - none of which have anything remotely to do with vaccines.
We have a saying in my trade (medicine): When you hear hoofbeats, don't look for zebras.
Ice nine - heart attacks are caused by blockages in the major arteries... yes - nothing new. A lot of men - and two who I know, (both healthy with no previous heart issues) developed heart problems that could lead to heart attacks and the doctor/s all said it was more than likely the covid "vaccine"
via GROK Yes, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty and Moderna/Spikevax) are linked to a rare increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the sac around the heart), with the highest rates in adolescent and young adult males.
I'm suggesting (and no I am not a doctor or a Dana Bash approved "Expert") that more negative health issues will surface and are surfacing currently - relating to the forced untested jab.
Because the COVID era of punitive censorship in the medical community was so massive - doctors who are seeing heart problems emerge in otherwise heathy men are speaking up. Imagine the pressure. The soviet democrats and their media (and fauci their chosen gain of function god) all lied and moved the goal posts.
There was a terrible measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019 -- close to 6,000 confirmed cases and 83 deaths, mostly children. The outbreak was a due to a massive drop in vaccination rates in 2018 following a report that two infants died (in minutes) after receiving a tainted measles vaccine. The Samoan government pulled the vaccine and then, a year or so later, all hell broke loose. Anyways, this wasn't RFK's fault...
DeSantis cannot hold a candle to all the leftwing governors who arrested people for... anything they could find. Leftwing govs who closed businesses while they enjoyed life as mostly normal. Whitmer, Clown show Newsum etc...
COVID infection itself carries a substantially higher risk of myocarditis and other cardiovascular complications than vaccination. Acknowledging the vaccine’s rare risks doesn’t change that comparison.
>Peachy+2 said... via GROK Yes, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty and Moderna/Spikevax) are linked to a rare increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the sac around the heart),<
"Yes," you say? I don't know why. Myocarditis and pericarditis have nothing whatsoever to do with myocardial infarction ("heart attack"). So the GROK quote is irrelevant to the subject of heart attack. But if you want to believe that it does, or something, fine. I'm going choose to not debate this with you.
The vaccine does carry a rare myocarditis risk, particularly in younger males, and that’s been openly acknowledged. But large studies consistently found that COVID infection itself causes myocarditis and other cardiac complications at a substantially higher rate. That’s why calling vaccine-related heart issues an ‘epidemic’ isn’t supported by the evidence.

Bagoh20 writes: “The problem is that it looks like they weren't that interested in making good decisions. They were driven by financial incentives,”
It’s amazing how every difficult pandemic decision gets reduced to “money, power, and lies.” Reality was messier. Some policies were too restrictive, some were later reversed, and some were justified by the evidence available at the time. That’s called updating policy, not proof of a grand conspiracy
btw- I'd like to change Heart Attack to - "Heart Failure."
My athletic friend in his 60's - 1 month after the covid jab, he had heart failure. His cardiologist did a full work up. Heart failure. Doc would not confirm or deny the suspicion my friend had that is was the mRNA jab. Spike protein in jab that didn't go to the right place. Inflammation.
Kak-a-nag still pushes Wet market BS and skips past the massive covid censorship on social media/MSM media. Medical censorship, and anyone anywhere who pushed back against pre-approved lie-filled narratives - was cancelled or worse. Kak-a-nag - can't seem to recall.
"The moment was Covid. It happened. Almost every journalist in the nation failed to relay reliable information, instead succumbing to panic and the widest-spread daily curtailment of civil liberties in my lifetime. The rare figures who didn't were silenced or stifled or removed."
IEE @ 1037: "'He lied about everything' is a slogan, not an argument. Changing guidance in response to new evidence isn’t the same as intentional deception."
Please provide us with examples where Fauci revised guidance in response to new evidence.
As opposed to the plethora of flat out lies devoid of any evidence from the outset.
Before Covid, evidence was clear the there is no such thing as a an effective non-pharmaceutical intervention against a highly infectious upper respiratory virus. Masks, social distancing, capacity limits, lockdowns, all were pure nonsense.
Before lockdowns, the Princess Whatsit and the USS Roosevelt made it clear that the population mortality rate would be around 0.4%. Turned out to be 0.37%.
All of that was existing evidence of which Fauci was either wholly ignorant, or flat out lied.
IEE @1206: RFK Jr. says you shouldn’t get a Covid vaccine. All doctors and research results say you should.
That is nonsense on stilts.
RFKJ opposes *routine* Covid vaccinations. For those younger than 65 without complicating factors, the risk presented by a C-19 infection is almost nil; unless the jab presents a side affect risk that is even closer to nil — it doesn't, by a long shot — then routine vaccinations make absolutely no sense.
So, your assertion is not only flat wrong, it is also facially stupid.
"The vaccine does carry a rare myocarditis risk, particularly in younger males, and that’s been openly acknowledged. But large studies consistently found that COVID infection itself causes myocarditis and other cardiac complications at a substantially higher rate. That’s why calling vaccine-related heart issues an ‘epidemic’ isn’t supported by the evidence."
You don't know how to read studies, do you?
"We found increased risks of myocarditis associated with the first dose of ChAdOx1 and BNT162b2 vaccines and the first and second doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine over the 1–28 days post-vaccination period, and after a SARS-CoV-2 positive test."
Summarizing: 19/million 28 days after vaccination in contrast to 40/million following a positive SARS test.
Sweet Mother of God, Dana Bash is just awful. Until now, I'd never seen her conduct an interview. She's argumentative but unable to back up her arguments. Poor thing, she went into a battle of wits after having unilaterally disarmed.
Over the past few days I’ve tried to push back against the steady stream of misinformation, disinformation, and outright fiction surrounding COVID, the pandemic response, vaccines, and the people who actually cared for patients. Healthy skepticism is valuable; rewriting history is not. We can debate what worked, what didn’t, and what should have been done differently. But if the evidence keeps losing to internet folklore, we’re not having a discussion, we’re just holding auditions for the next conspiracy documentary.
“Now we know that Anthony Fauci, who was the expert, was lying about everything about masks, about social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID.”
If RFK, Jr. were sincere in those beliefs, he would be proposing a victims compensation fund.
The spike protein in the virus and vaxxxine were equitably and inclusively virulent, thus the specification of limited injection distribution with a hope and faith that the alien antigen would not migrate illegally.
IEE: Couldn't identify the glaring statistical error, could you?
Can't find any effective NPI's.
Can't apply Occam's Razor to known facts surrounding the origin of C-19. Including the so far complete absence of an animal reservoir.
Still standing by for evidence that any interventions helped at all, never mind their massive social and economic costs.
Or that a less than 0.4% population mortality rate -- about twice an average flu season -- justified "vaccine" mandates, or rubbishing the Constitution.
Virtually every government response to C-19 was dead wrong, in ways that were obvious at the time.
Bottom line, Fauci, through cut outs, used US taxpayer's money to finance CCP bioweapons research. Ergo, he is indeed personally responsible for the deaths of millions world wide as well as cultural, economic & educational disaster now facing us.
Planned Patienthood (PP) was a clear and progressive risk.. So was Every Child Left Behind (ECLB) in demagogic jurisdictions. Thats said, demos-cracy was aborted with planned parenthood in darkness, in the privacy of isolation.
"Bagoh - Your heart attack was probably caused by the usual causes of heart attacks that have been understood for decades - none of which have anything remotely to do with vaccines."
I tend to agree, and what I've read so far suggests that, but counter points are that I had no previous indications of heart disease, a cardiac workup prior to the vaccine that showed no cardiac issues, and other than my age, I'm not in risk groups: normal blood pressure, low lipid numbers, active with a healthy diet. When I had the attack and stent installed, they said the rest of my arties look fine with no restrictions at all. The clot could have come from somewhere else, but the timing was very suspicious just weeks after the second shot. Just anecdotal, but personal. For whatever reason, more than a few doctors are telling patients that their heart blockages may be due to the vaccine. I don't where their suspicion comes from, but they are working directly with patients daily. I'm less than convinced by the published data. Published studies have been wrong and revised more than once.
Ironically, Fauci, in liberal enclaves, San Francisco, for one,, offered a different response that aided and abetted the transition of homos engaged in sodomy, intruding back... black holes... whores, with diverse friends with "benefits", birthed as viable "burdens" of State, state.
"IEE: Couldn't identify the glaring statistical error, could you?"
It may that you just left it out, but I'd say the time frame. The vaccine number is limited to 28 days, but the infection number doesn't have a time limit. Also no controls mentioned on the populations.
Published studies are also difficult to acquire. The studies themselves take years and years - and you need people willing to submit themselves to the study. Leftists in the media assume all the data they are given is good. We know after years of deception - leftwing/political data is suspect.
The military has a study somewhere that shows increased heart issues in men after covid jab.
Trump, listen! Your legacy should not be intense and irrational hostility to vaccines. Don't let RFK further cut research funding for mRNA vaccines. This technology will revolutionize medicine and be used to develop vaccines for diseases like cancer and HIV. I know we've been down this road before (with gene therapy for example), so we should be skeptical. But hot damn, personalized mRNA vaccines for cancer look like the real deal. Let's continue to support this vital work!
Vaccines promote sterilizing immunity. The Covid jabs were vaxxxines, thus the mandates to ensure equity and inclusion of risk and profit in captive populations.
Nobody here believes this, but I actually voted for Trump in the last election, because my polestar is that all politicians are evil, and are just in it for the power, money, or fame. So I always vote for the lesser of two evils, which was Trump compared to Biden/Harris in the last election. For Trump it is all about the power, since he already has billions of dollars and reality talk show fame. YOU'RE FIRED!!!! But RFK Jr. has now joined Trump as delusional. Hopefully he can learn how to drink a cup of coffee/water without spilling it when someone asks him a tough question.
btw- Lonejustice - perhaps watch the clip. The lies you leftists spread about people provide evidence you are all lie-ingesters / and lie super-spreaders.
I appreciate RKK2’s observation that we should be listening to the physicians on the front line of treatment. Presumably, they have fewer bureaucratic axes to grind.
*Nobody here believes this, but I actually voted for Trump in the last election,*
Know why nobody believes you? Because you spend your entire existence bashing Trump, his cabinet and his supporters and never say a single word about those you supposedly didn't vote for.
I voted for someone and that someone is a stinky poopyhead doesn't convince many people you actually supported that candidate.
Peachy+2 has 37 comments on this single post alone. This is what we used to call diarrhea of the mouth. But now Peachy+2 has shown us that she has EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA!!
More to the point, nobody gives a sh*t who you voted for. Adults who aren't radical Progressives don't require purity testing for the people they exchange ideas with, or try to - in your case, against all odds.
In the first comment here, I asked "What's record on gain of function saving lives versus losing them?"
Grok in a long-winded failure to quantify it and showing both sides of the argument, finally summarized it with: "If COVID-19 originated from research-related activities involving enhanced pathogens, the losses would dwarf any prior benefits by orders of magnitude." Sounds risky.
Loney - You got the last election wrong. and you spout the same crapola as every other cog-wheel cultist. Some days I'm not even here - so it all evens out.
bagoh20: “… but I'd say the time frame. The vaccine number is limited to 28 days, but the infection number doesn't have a time limit. Also no controls mentioned on the populations.”
Bingo bagoh!
Also assumes no issues with VAERS, of which there are many.
IEE, pro-tip: when looking at a statistical study, perhaps the most important thing to understand is N.
Peachy+2 is now up to 38 comments on just one single Althouse blog post. She's going for a record. I'm laying down bets that it will more than 40. Any takers?
snip: "“The people on the phone felt that the mutations around the furine cleavage site of the spike protein could not have occurred naturally since it would require an evolutionary ‘jump’ that they found nowhere in bat isolates.”
Deliberate insertion, they said, followed by release — accidental release being the most likely.
The next day Fauci convened a larger call of twelve experts in epidemiology. His entry characterizing it (p. 14) is the probably the single most consequential paragraph in the whole diary. There was “not total agreement about the likelihood of deliberate insertion,” he writes. Ron Fouchier was certain it could have arisen naturally and said they shouldn’t waste time. Christian Drosten agreed with Fouchier. And then, in Fauci’s own words:
“the rest felt that deliberate insertion was possible.”
Ten of 12 thought it must be manmade. And he admits the person driving the zoonotic theory perspective, Ron Fouchier, was “expected of him since he was the original GOF [gain of function] person with Yoshi Kawaoka.”"
Lonejuicebox says "Hopefully he can learn how to drink a cup of coffee/water without spilling it"
Gemini says "Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a hereditary condition called familial tremor, which can cause his hands to shake. However, there is no widespread or specific viral report of him famously spilling a cup of water while trying to drink. People often confuse his hand tremor or his distinct voice tremor—caused by spasmodic dysphonia—when discussing his public appearance"
and Gemini also says "Marco Rubio (2013): Famously paused a televised response to the State of the Union to awkwardly lunge for a small water bottle without breaking eye contact with the camera."
When you make shit up, at least check it against reality.
And really, confusing Marco Rubio's awkward moment with something RFK Jr might have done? More evidence that you should be placed the Life Long (fake) Republican file with Chuck/Bich/IEE
I read the link Peachy. Good link. Much more useful than the name calling your detractors have to offer. Dana Bash is not impartial in this debate. She worked with Fauci to push his narrative.
The problem with the nRNA vaxxxine replicating strain, is that it is derivative of the spike protein, a single factor, which is a virulent subset of the whole virus, and has a tendency to migrate out of its sanctuary cells to fertile ground with vulnerable tissue and organs in the host.
Does anybody really believe I voted for Trump? C'mon, the guy can hardly stay awake, let alone get anything done, and he's constantly hiding from the press. Besides he's rich with a hot wife, and that makes me feel bad.

What's record on gain of function saving lives versus losing them?
…CNN was mercifully on death’s door so I don’t know why they’re still going there to grapple. Somehow I think Thune is involved 🧐…
Interesting interview technique. Why ask the question if you’re going to tell us the answer?
Dana Bash is a CIA agent embedded at CNN. It's pointless to argue with her.
Leftmedia: Public Enemy Number One.
I HATE Dana Bash(D)
I had to stop watching about 5 minutes in. Dana was getting her ass handed to her.
It was telling, heck stunning actually but so brief, it was likely sort of not noticed, but it took RFK about 5 secs to say get the Measles Vax but dang neat 2 minutes for Dana to frame it in an accusatory manner followed by some back and forth before RFK said, yeah, get it, it’s perfectly safe.
How does she have a job, even at CNN?
She makes me ill.
Fauci lied about everything.
Indeed.
Leftists butts are collectively hurt over it- because the cult left made him their god.
Also, kudos to RFK, Jr - badness stickler for truth, no matter how difficult it may be to hear.
Dana is very worried about the safely of our food supply.
WAS she worried about it when her puppet was installed for 4 years?
COVID was an inoculation. Almost everyone in the country fell for the COVID hysteria.
People are at least embarrassed that they fell for it now even as they pretend they didn't.
Ron Desantis locked Florida down like a tin pot dictator and now his supporters pretend he is some sort of hero.
It is not shocking that people lie to themselves.
But it is at least heartening to see that they feel enough shame to lie about what they did.
When hack-D Dana interviews her precious Democrats - they are not treated like that at all.
She is disgusting.

Remember this retard believes that men can have babies and that if you are protesting for George Floyd you are safe from COVID.
But pointing out Fauci was caught lying about numerous things is a recipe for permanent distrust.
You can't parody this kind of stupidity.
As he was asked before congress: "Did you lie to your diary?"
And he answered honestly: "On the advice of council..."
At this point RFK would be considered a sellout.
Imagine how differently this interview would be if he never joined up with Trump, even if he made the same arguments.

"He single handedly destroyed any trust we had in CDC, FDA, NIH, etc."
To be honest, he had an awful lot of help.
She loves having RFK on because she can talk over him because of his voice .
Are people that dug in?
When media hacks say "Experts say" - you know you are being bullshited and lied to.
The Covid vaccine - which is still a grift machine for Big Pharma - at best is a therapy - at worst, it will cause long term harm.
(& no - I am not anti-vax. Many vaccines are important and effective. (Tho - not everyone can take them safely.))
He's not wrong.
Bagoh - suspicious yes.
But no one was allowed to ask questions. The Dana Bash-D's of the media world said so.
"I admit that I was shocked to hear Junior' say that the RSV and Lyme disease public health problems are likely to have come from gain of function studies. Is anybody else surprised by this? I certainly am."
I have not heard that before either. I sure hope it's not true.
Leftwing media are not interested in truth, facts, or information - they just want the "gottcha"
It's beyond appalling at this point.
Her stack of papers are the TRUTH! why even bother having guests and conversations? again - It's so she can push her party's Soviet narratives.
Lyme disease is bacterial. Do they do GOF on bacteria?
I have seen somewhere the theory that Lyme disease originated (or was first discovered?) where it did (Lyme, CT) because Lyme is just across Long Island Sound (and dead downwind) from the U.S. Defense Department's Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center; I have not heard or seen any compelling support for it, but I haven't looked.
She is beyond vile
Her mind seems completely blocked to anything which contradicts her previous assumptions.
Neither Bash nor IEE is attempting to persuade or even to engage in reasoned debate. Their role is to distract and deflect.
Yeah, this a very unlikely interview pair for me to watch. Not a fan of either, to be polite.
Zoonotic <> animal to human without human intervene.
Gain of function <> animal to human with human intervene.
RFK Jr. says you shouldn’t get a Covid vaccine. All doctors and research results say you should. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.
Americans who die young from preventable infectious diseases are only making the rest of us stronger.
RFK Jr in a nutshell.
Indefinitely Extended Excursion—the problem is that Fauci never updated his views even after he knew he was wrong. Instead, he censored the truth.
So the liar is calling Dana Bash a liar by calling Tony Fauci a liar. Fauci is a real scientist, not a nutcase.
boatbuilder -
You won't find any evidence for that theory.
"What surprises me about these interviewers..."
She's not an interviewer and these aren't interviews.
interviewer
noun
in·ter·view·er ˈin-tər-ˌvyü-ər
one (such as a journalist or prospective employer) who obtains information from another by asking a series of questions
She's not interested in obtaining information, she's debating and desires to dismiss anything that conflicts with her beliefs.
Indeed Eva - and Dana Hack's job is to trip, vilify, interrupt, lie and preach.
Forget about it Jake, it's Chinatown
“He lied about everything” is a slogan, not an argument"
The nerve of this propagandizing jitbag posting those words is a triumph of the absence of self-awareness.
Maybe, but I had no history of heart disease, and had a cardiac exam just before the pandemic.
gadfly said: “Fauci is a real scientist, not a nutcase.”
Hmm, a scientist taking the 5th 111 times. You’ve sold me gad.
I got the vax and booster and didn't get the bug.
Some people got the vax and booster and did get the bug.
Everybody knows this.
The data regarding Covid cases, response etc is mostly based on PCR tests which the inventor warned against using. Also, there were financial incentives for finding someone Covid positive.
Bash: "What about Trump's responsibility?"
RFK Jr: "Dr. Fauci . . ."
Bash (interrupting): "Let's move on the the next question."
You know what a slogan is? "2 weeks to stop the spread",
"Follow the science", "Covid denier", things people say that are intended to influence not inform.
"DON"T TRUST THE EXPERTS!
TRUST ME, TIN FOIL HAT MAKER, HEROIN ADDICT WITH DEAD WORM IN BRAIN.
What a fucking loon. Maybe the real answer is at the bottom of the reflecting pool.
Per Claude:
Measles rate per 100m

"Two-week Lockdowns could be defended under those circumstances, for instance."
Where did "Two-week Lockdowns" happen?
Sic em Bobby!
"Fauci is a real scientist, not a nutcase."
The Diamond Princess provided verifiable data.
Unfortunately, that data didn't support lockdowns, school closures and mail-in voting so it was ignored.
Or when Fauci threw out the first ball from the pitchers mound with a mask on and then watched the game surrounded by people with it off.
"Or when Fauci threw out the first ball..."
I nearly included that in my comment. That happened on July 23, 2020. The last federal mask mandate ended on April 18, 2022.
So- nearly two years after Fauci publicly demonstrated that masks weren't necessary.
Bagoh - Your heart attack was probably caused by the untested vaccine.
Dana Bash is going to do a deep dive investigation. /// NOT
Trump bobbled Covid.
Joementia weaponized it.
“ RFK Jr. says you shouldn’t get a Covid vaccine.
Trump responded to risk. Democrats reacted with opportunity.
Dinky Brain - Chi Com covid was delivered to us in part because the evil left you are dedicated to - wanted Trump gone.
It worked.
Dinky Brain - Biden was installed.
"Group singing was a hotbed of transmission."
Horseshit. You must be fucking kidding. You don't remember when college football season came around and 100,000 people gathered together cheering and shouting in stadiums all over the country with ZERO outbreaks?
Your shorts are on too tight, smart guy.
Add RFK Jr. to the list of people who saw the rot in the Democrat party and abandoned it in the last few years.
Of course, our favorite Althouse lefties will never abandon the cause. Whatever that cause is.
JK Brown - a nice reminder that the Soviet Democrat Media were even more deceitful, disgusting and vile than Fauci.
RFK Jr. handled himself very well against the mouthpiece of the so called expert class.
RFK Jr's worm handled himself very well against the mouthpiece of the so called expert class.

Bagoh - Your heart attack was probably caused by the usual causes of heart attacks that have been understood for decades - none of which have anything remotely to do with vaccines.
We have a saying in my trade (medicine): When you hear hoofbeats, don't look for zebras.
"none of which have anything remotely to do with vaccines"
Wasn't 'vaccine' redefined so that the covid shot could be one?
Wow. Dana Bash giving a textbook lesson on why we don't hate the media and the commissars the media enabled nearly enough.
Ice nine - heart attacks are caused by blockages in the major arteries... yes - nothing new.
A lot of men - and two who I know, (both healthy with no previous heart issues) developed heart problems that could lead to heart attacks and the doctor/s all said it was more than likely the covid "vaccine"
via GROK
Yes, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty and Moderna/Spikevax) are linked to a rare increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the sac around the heart), with the highest rates in adolescent and young adult males.
cdc.gov
I'm suggesting (and no I am not a doctor or a Dana Bash approved "Expert") that more negative health issues will surface and are surfacing currently - relating to the forced untested jab.
*Ron Desantis locked Florida down like a tin pot dictator and now his supporters pretend he is some sort of hero.*
You know, your hard on for DeSantis would be much less noticeable if you bothered to cite governors who did much, much worse.
You know, the ones who shuts down states for two, fucking years instead of a couple months before taking corrective action like he did.
Why don't you do that?

Kak-a-Nag
Covid and the covid vaccine are both manufactured harm.
Ice Nine - OK. Just curious - are you a doctor?
The vaccine does carry a rare myocarditis risk, particularly in younger males, and that’s been openly acknowledged. But large studies consistently found that COVID infection itself causes myocarditis and other cardiac complications at a substantially higher rate. That’s why calling vaccine-related heart issues an ‘epidemic’ isn’t supported by the evidence.

Yes - 40 yrs (ret). Emergency. Lots of heart attacks...

@mkhammer
"The moment was Covid. It happened. Almost every journalist in the nation failed to relay reliable information, instead succumbing to panic and the widest-spread daily curtailment of civil liberties in my lifetime. The rare figures who didn't were silenced or stifled or removed."
There were doctors out there - DURING COVID - who warned their patients NOT to get the forced jab.
Most docs did push the jab.
Spot the statistical error.
"COVID infection itself carries a substantially higher risk of myocarditis and other cardiovascular complications than vaccination."
That might be relevant if the vaccine prevented Covid infection.
Bagoh - I'm glad you're OK and I'm also glad you made it home after the zip code/AI kidnapping.
The spike protein in the virus and vaxxxine were equitably and inclusively virulent, thus the specification of limited injection distribution with a hope and faith that the alien antigen would not migrate illegally.
The masks were known to be virus and debris collectors, pathogenic enhancers.
Covid infections were less virulent than the vaxxxine in part because of restrictions imposed on its immigration sources and paths.
"Virtually every government response to C-19 was dead wrong..."
This is assuming the government's primary goal was protecting people from C-19, of course. If they had different priorities, well...
The last election was Harris/Walz - lonejustice.
btw- Lonejustice - perhaps watch the clip.
What is the theory behind mRNA vaccines, how different from previous process?
Peachy+2 has 37 comments on this single post alone. This is what we used to call diarrhea of the mouth. But now Peachy+2 has shown us that she has EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA!!
More to the point, nobody gives a sh*t who you voted for. Adults who aren't radical Progressives don't require purity testing for the people they exchange ideas with, or try to - in your case, against all odds.
In the first comment here, I asked "What's record on gain of function saving lives versus losing them?"
Grok in a long-winded failure to quantify it and showing both sides of the argument, finally summarized it with:
"If COVID-19 originated from research-related activities involving enhanced pathogens, the losses would dwarf any prior benefits by orders of magnitude."
Sounds risky.
Loney - You got the last election wrong. and you spout the same crapola as every other cog-wheel cultist.
Some days I'm not even here - so it all evens out.
“Wasn't 'vaccine' redefined so that the covid shot could be one?”
Flu vaccines have been called that for decades. It's never provided certain (nor even very great) immunity.
bagoh20: “… but I'd say the time frame.
Any takers?
Loney - I'll take that bet. Over 40!
I bet there isn't a single leftist here willing to read this:
Fauci Files: A Megalomaniacal Egomaniac Milking Covid for Everything It's Worth
snip:
"“The people on the phone felt that the mutations around the furine cleavage site of the spike protein could not have occurred naturally since it would require an evolutionary ‘jump’ that they found nowhere in bat isolates.”
"Flu vaccines have been called that for decades. It's never provided certain (nor even very great) immunity."
But the definition of 'vaccine' wasn't changed until covid came along, was it?
Flu vaccines are effective when they match the active strain, which is where their poor reputation evolves in frequent misses.
"Peachy+2 is now up to 38 comments on just one single Althouse blog post."
At least it's pure Peachy and not some bloated AI copy and paste that's TLDR.
