I long ago lost most sympathy for SOB stories. My time in the Navy every time I thought I had heard the worst story possible, a worse one would pop up... Can't tell me that people don't choose to be addicts or alcoholics. They do make that choice. I have family members and in-laws who did. Then the US provided Israel with F-15 tech, as part of a joint venture. F-15 tech ended up in Chinese fighter jets when Israeli engineers helped China develop their fighters. Israel pressured the US to release Pollard, and now he is living large in Israel.

Why am I bringing this up? Because in the Defense Authorization Act, there is a provision that we must share all intelligence with Israel, and if the president does not want to, he will have to provide a written explanation to Congress within 15 days. It should be called the Jonathon Pollard Act. Israel gets access to signal and satellite intelligence real time, which they can use any way they see fit; they will likely use it for assassinations, and won’t need the approval of the President, and for targeting, without the approval of the US. This will tie the American President’s hands regarding constraining Israel.

There are also provisions that would require the US to fund Israel’s military bypassing Congress and the President.
