He, like a lot of powerful people, figured that Trump was going to be bankrupted and jailed and the MAGA movement would be destroyed. It never occurred to them that Trump would come back into power and be in a position to investigate them.
I managed to read through the first 30 pages of the released diary yesterday. (Up to late January, early February of 2020) You have to wade through A LOT of documentation of adulation to get at the basic COVID outbreak info. The diary is over 1100 pages, so I don't think I'll be wasting any more of my time on it. What struck me, besides, his obsessive occupation with praise was that: 1) There were signs that the virus came from a lab and they were looking seriously into that and 2) He became the public facing personality for the government because he was best able to translate information into laymen's terms and all of his media celebrity buddies told all their politician friends that he was the smartest guy in the country on matters of infectious disease.
I imagine Rand Paul's office is combing through it to link his emails to his diary notations and official pronouncements for a meaningful timeline. If I recall correctly, he had some emails that suggestive of a cover up of the gain of function research funding he was involved in.
I haven’t had flu or cold since 2020. Getting Covid naturally allowed my body to establish immunity to the SARS-Covid virus as Nature intended. Since then my whole family has been flu and cold free. Maybe that’s a benefit of the GOF research enhancing Covid-19 and those engineered features really helped me fight future infections.

I've gotten a flushot once in my life, when the VA strongarmed me into getting one 8-10 years ago. Last time I had flu was 1990. Don't remember the last time before that.
In 2018 I had an extensive, full day, physical at VA including a bunch of cardio tests. I was pronounced fit as a fiddle.
In 2021 I was strongarmed into getting a kung flu certificate as in (if you don't get one, you can't leave your house and have to check in twice a day so we know you are not. You also can't eat or work.) I tried other ways but in the end, the only way I could get the certificate was by getting the shot. I got the single J&J version.
I've had serious heart problems ever since including a couple of hospitalizations and 4 stents so far. (Thank you VA for the terrific care!)

I trusted the public health establishment at first and I'd been in public health/epi for 30 years at that point. And Fauci did, at the beginning anyway, treat it responsibly. He was coauthor of a journal article arguing that Covid was likely equivalent to a bad flu. He also told people to not bother with masks because they didn't work.
Then he started lying along with nearly everyone else in the establishment. When he lied about why he said not to bother with masks is the point I stopped trusting him.

I think that the answer to the pardons is ultimately challenge them in court as not having been granted by Biden, but by his underlings. And very likely without his permission. Not over his rejection, but rather he never said yes or so. They just cranked up the AutoPens, and drafted and signed them. I think that the Trump Administration is working on this, and Fauci may be part of it - pushed by outspoken Fauci critic Dr Rand Paul in his Senate hearings. We may be seeing the battle prep right now.
The problem is that Presidential Pardons have been, up to now, sacrosanct. Challenging them by a successor President is just not done - like every President from Nixon on rejecting the encroachment of Congress into the President’s Executive Powers with the War Powers Act. I was in the same situation (coerced by my employer to get a shot), also opted for the one-off J&J. Maybe a coincidence, but early this year got an "unprovoked" blood clot, and now have to be on a blood thinner the rest of my life. From what I've read, the clot risk from the J&J is transitory (first few weeks). But who the hell knows?

Where we live (rural) almost everyone just ignored all the Covid hoohah. I didn't the the Covid shot. I've never had the flu (at least in my adult life) never had a flu shot. Masking? who cared?. Well...only if I wanted to get into Costco to shop. Then wear the mask around my neck while shopping. Or the stupidest rule. Mask up when you walk into a restaurant...then take off the mask to eat...then mask up when you walk out. Evidently Covid is only contagious when you are walking.
Avoid crowds? There are less than 600 people in the entire town. Maybe 2500 in the outlying areas. More cows than people.
No shot..plus I already had a heart issue and didn't want more. In fact. During the height of Covid 2020...I had heart surgury at US Davis. They didn't make me have the shot or wear a mask...unless I walked down the hallway...(walking again). It was a nothing burger. Except my husband had to have a Covid test before he could come into visit.

Except that is leftist BS spin. For the most part, most kids were immune long before they were vaccinated. It was just not noticed because it was so mild in them. It was fatal in maybe one in a couple million of those under 20. A dozen or so in the country. We got our herd immunity from that, and not the ModRNA jabs.
The ModRNA jabs could not confer herd immunity because it only utilized two of the virus’ proteins, and very close to immediately, after the vaccines came out, these two genes mutated. By late spring the vaccines were entering mass distribution. By July/August (Delta variant), the effectiveness had dropped to 50%. And by December (Omicron variant), it had almost completely disappeared (5-10% cross reactivity). Amazingly, Fauci and his friends continued to push the original vaccines for another year or two, with that 5-10% cross reactivity, forcing that now worthless version on hundreds of millions of Americans.
And that doesn’t even deal with how dangerous this novel ModRNA vaccine was/is - the dangers of which were ruthlessly suppressed.

Not anywhere close. Both the flu and SARS-2 are respiratory viruses. Pretty much just one respiratory viruses circulates in a population at any time. Which essentially means that COVID-19 pushed out the flu for maybe 3 -4 years. Then, with herd immunity (no thanks to the ModRNA jabs), it was no longer the circulating respiratory virus in our population.

I'd already surmised that it was bullshit theater before that point, but that moment there was clear evidence that the ones who were pushing mask mandates didn't follow them or believe that Covid was the deadly threat that they were telling the world it was. As the summer wore on there were many more examples from scare-mongers such as Newsom, Pelosi, Obama and others that they were lying through their teeth, had no fear whatsoever of Covid, and didn't bother at all with the mandates and precautions that normies were forced to endure.

Pretty early in the my case, but I have an advantage over most of the rest of you — I lived in or around DC from 1969 to 2016. I was aware that if Fauci had risen to be the head of an agency his skills were more likely to be in backstabbing potential rivals, schmoozing people who could help him climb the ladder, and stealing ideas from subordinates than in actual medical research. His admission that he had lied about the efficacy of masks (remember when he initially told everyone not to mask up and then reversed himself?) clinched it.

Daszac and Baric knew almost from the start that the virus had been engineered in and had escaped the Wuhan lab- it was literally the sort of thing they did and funded at the site. I have written it many times- the furin cleavage site and the codons for those residues make it 99.999% likely that the virus orgininated in the laboratory at Wuhan. All of the "evidence" against this being a laboratory specimen that was cited in the origins paper can be easily explained away by the simple observation that COVID-19 was almost certainly a mutated form of whatever COVID viruse escaped the lab in the summer or early fall of 2019- the virologists on that origins paper have been hiding behind the assertion that COVID-19 itself is the exact strain that escaped but even a couple of months is enough to get multiple mutated strains in a human population- facts of which are easily established by the comparison of all the progeny that arose after 2020.

The way it pretty much has to go, procedures, is that the DOJ indicts one of the pardonees. They have to then raise the defense of the pardon. DOJ denies the legitimacy of the pardon, I am thinking with a Motion to Strike the assertion of the pardon. Need to get the facts of the AutoPen signature into evidence for the motion. Whichever way the judge rules, there is likely going to be an immediate appeal to the Circuit Court, motion for en Banc, petition or motion to the Supreme Court, etc.
I think that the most likely people to face this will have to be high visibility villains, like Fauci and Jack Smith. I am thinking Jack Smith, over Fauci, but better both of them in different circuits. With Fauci, it’s all the people he killed, all the people he screwed up their lives, etc. and he really got Biden elected. With Smith, it’s all the millions of Trump supporters who want revenge, but few really caring on the other side.

What eliminates the natural origin theory is that the infections and deaths did not originate in the horseshoe bat cave area 300 miles south of Wuhan and expand in a circle in all directions. There were no reports of unknown pneumonia type illnesses on a line from the caves to Wuhan as the virus became more potent as it mutated. The disease was actually centered on Wuhan and radiated outward from there, even by air travel to other countries. As when Italians visited Wuhan.
So the disease went from Wuhan to the bat caves, not in the other direction. People at the bat caves area got covid later.
I now have an answer to that age old question, "Is Hunter Biden or Joan Baez the better artist?".
