I've followed the Cerro Gordo guy for years. It's a labor of love that he's really taken very far on little resources. I don't think it will work out financially, but I hope I'm wrong. It's an accomplishment none the less. I wish him the best of luck with it
After pied-à-terre they’ll probably try to force the boomer artists out of their 5000 sq ft lots for sub divide for rent controlled apartments.
The Cerro Gordo mine is a carbonate replacement deposit of exceptionally rich silver in lead. Very much like her big sister Leadville CO. Virginia City NV was a silver bearing quarts vein system with gold in volcanic rock, very different. Similar lead silver mines are found in Platteville WI but without very much silver, mostly lead and some zinc.
Q: have you ever wondered who lives in these old industrial buildings in NYC? A: apparently, exclusively very, very old people.
