Well, you have to admit, she is rather mannish!
She seems comfortable wearing it — only a short while ago she was seething with indignity about having to put herself together to go out in public.

The dress is a little disconcerting. At first glance it looks like some photoshop or CGI effect. Would it have to have been custom made? Expensive? Bargain basement cheap?

As for now, "When I dress her, when I’m styling her, I don’t look at her and go, Okay, what would a 61-year-old woman wear? I go, What does a vibrant, cool, and sexy woman want to wear, or what feels good to her as a person?"
A skirt with a person's picture on it must fall in the latter category. It's neither becoming nor stylish, and is a terrible recommendation from a stylist. Maybe that's why Barack was having trouble keeping his composure.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember when ex-Presidents followed a largely-unspoken code where they receded from public political life and refrained from criticizing or commenting upon current Presidents. As I recall the first one to break from this by interjecting himself into the limelight and publicly criticize his successors was Jimmuh Carter. Reagan and Daddy George Bush went along with the code; the Clintons did not because a) Hillary had her own ambitions and b) they had too much grifting left to do. George Jr. followed the code. Obama is the worst, ignoring the tradition completely.

I'm not an Obama fan, but I thought it was a sweet moment. Michelle 's skirt is unusual, but the picture of her Mom is pretty.
Who cares what she wears? She killed school pizza. That horror alone should be her eventual obituary lead.

Marion was disgusted by the company the Obamas kept. At one dinner at the terrorist Ayers and Dohrn household, she told dolt Scott Turow that she did not want her grandchildren involved with "revolutionaries"; she wanted them to go to Ivy League schools and succeed decently. Also easy for her to say. Neither of the Obama girls ever evidenced much intelligent behavior, but they could at least be admitted for skin color and ironic Legacy privileges denied to actually hard-working,smart kids.
