The plot is full of some pretty obvious holes, chiefly the idea that this guy walks around in the European surveillance state, yet manages to remain anonymous and unknown to the police after several violent episodes in public, with witnesses galore and presumably, cameras. Leland ने कहा…: Watched the Michael biopic last night. It was good for a summer Saturday matinee. It was a reminder of what raising children was like in the 60’s and 70’s. I doubt most kids today have seen a parent take a belt to a child. I thought it did a good job showing what it was like for a child growing up with the pressures of being trained to perfection and performing, while just wanting to be a kid. While it was tough on Joseph Jackson, I think it avoided making him out to be horrible or insane, but rather unreasonably strict and overbearing.

Jermaine’s son portrays Michael. I don’t know how accurate it was, because I never followed his life, but he was convincing. It seems everyone in the family but Joe, Michael (both deceased), and Janet were EP’s for the movie. I can understand it not getting amazing reviews, because it is quite low energy and lack luster compared to say Elton John’s or Freddie Mercury’s biopic.

But it doesn’t deserve the negative takes because it didn’t extend to Micheal’s problems as an adult. Does it put those problems in a different context? I think so, but more so because you can see so many childhood performers struggle as adults these days, such as the young lady that portrayed Moana, who died last week. At this rate the "ceasefire" will break down before the 60 days have elapsed and there will be no mechanism to move forward.
