Not obese.

"The 6-foot-3 president weighs 238 pounds, having gained 14 pounds since his physical last year — meaning he is technically 'overweight' and is about 1.6 pounds shy of being classified as 'obese,' according to body mass index calculations. Trump was encouraged to increase his physical activity and pursue continued weight loss, according to the report."

From "Trump’s doctor says he is in ‘excellent health’ after latest checkup/While the president’s medical report says he remains fit to serve, independent physicians have raised questions about the recurrent bruises on his hands and swelling in his legs" (WaPo).

Trump's sunny summary: "Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY."

Why did The Washington Post put "overweight" in quotes and modify it with "technically"? He's simply and straightforwardly overweight. And that's not perfect. Can we get Bobby Kennedy over here for a second opinion?

Let's line up all the commentary on JB Pritzker and compare.

Is the "B" for 'brisket', 'buffet line', or 'breakfast all day'? I've noticed he's slimming down recently so I wonder if he's on a GLP, getting in shape. Old 'Fightin' Weight for '28, they call him.

The internet informs me that obese people who want to attempt intercourse should have plenty of pillows to cushion knees, elevate hips, or provide back support, making the experience more comfortable.

I think all prospective candidates should state their body mass as a "Pritzker Proportion" or PP score. When a candidate has crossed a PP of 1.0, they enter the zone of interest. Until then, we should just point at the Illinois governor and laugh.

I'm just on the last day of our travel between Colorado and Toronto and have been having the devil's own time eating properly and getting proper exercise. How one maintains a healthy lifestyle while under presidential stress, I have no idea. (I mean, I know someone is cooking for him.)

My doctor wanted to put me on statins as of my April physical - cholesterol just above borderline - because she said that if I were living in one place and able to stay in control of my diet and exercise, she'd let it ride and see how I did with just lifestyle adjustments, but since I'm not, she wanted to bring down that one number and that ratio with meds. I took them for a couple of weeks and couldn't understand why my legs, which had been recovering well from my knee replacements, were aching all the time.

Light bulb went off; I checked statin side effects and there it was. So I've stopped taking them again, my legs feel great, but my lifestyle on the road is not helping me. We'll be stationary for a month in Toronto, and then a month in Quebec; that should give me some time to try to establish good and sustainable habits.

When in the military I had to pass a weight and body composition standard twice a year.

Trump at his height and weight could pass the Army body composition standard if he was in good shape for a 50 year old.

Now at his age he is not in that type of shape, but it provides some context.

Tim Walz would not pass that standard— he is like many military types who balloon up when they no longer have to meet a standard.

At some point you need to understand that you have been lied to by everyone in our medical establishment.

Your doctor gets kickbacks for putting you on Statins.

What do Statins actually do?

Everyone who takes Statins is worse off. Statins are a poison. They cause other maladies that people have to take more drugs for.

This is not a mistake.

So there’s that.

Start by learning what statins are actually supposed to do and then learn what they actually do.

Ask your doctor what "high cholesterol" actually means. You will find out your doctor doesn't know any of these answers most of the time. Primary care doctors in the US are DEI retards. They are not smart people. They only know enough to get their kickback from big pharma at the end of the quarter.

In order to find out if you are actually unhealthy you have to get a DNR test which actually looks at the size of your cholesterol molecules in your body. If you are healthy you will have a single spike in the LDL range. If you are fat and eat a lot of carbs and have insulin resistance you will have 2 spikes in your LDL range.

LDL A is healthy fluffy happy LDL that slides down your arteries happy endothelial lining repairing your muscles and your joints and your brain. It is produced by your liver in the quantities your body needs and this will depend on how much you work out and how much you use your brain. My "Total Cholesterol" has been over 400 for years.

LDL B is unhappy oxidized LDL that has been punctured by glucose molecules. It will show up on a DNR test as the second spike. Your body can't do anything with LDL B. Your white blood cells nab it and flush it out like any other toxin. The problem with LDL B is that if you have high levels of LDL B you probably have a lot of sugar spikes in your diet and elevated inflammation in your body stripping your arteries endothelial layer. The LDL B then can wedge itself into your artery walls because it has jagged oxidized shapes and cause plaques.

Statins only lower your LDL A by short circuiting a whole host of enzymatic processes in your liver. Thus no CoQ 10 and headaches and joint aches are expected because you are taking poison.

I am just pointing out all of these known issues because I actually want people to feel better.

Nobody defends the cholesterol hypothesis anymore. Everyone knows it is the HDL:Triglycerides ratio that actually matter. Everyone knows that LDL A is actually necessary for good health.

Old and slow ayon kay ...

So much about health is just genetic luck. I haven't been to a doctor in over 40 years, and I was starting to worry about my health, not because I was feeling poorly but I've lived a pretty hard life in many respects and my diet is questionable. I eat vast amounts of butter and cream and red meat. I booked comprehensive blood tests to find out if I needed to worry. The results were so ridiculously good in all areas that it is unbelievable. HDL 92, triglycerides 30, plus all the other tests. I asked Grok to interpret the results, and assuming Grok is not lying to me, I seem to be the healthiest guy alive. I run a lot, but I also drink too much and eat like a Frenchman.

James K ayon kay ...

Thanks, Original Mike and Achilles. My resistance to going on statins is based on a general sense of all that, though not with that level of detail. The next time I see my doctor I was planning to push back. It's hard to find a cardiologist who doesn't reflexively prescribe statins as soon as LDL goes over 100 (or maybe 130).

And every one of those "new customers" of statins now have headaches, low vitamin D, joint pain, no CoQ 10, lower testosterone and less flexible cell membranes.

Achilles: just raise your good cholesterol. Buy excellent, fruity virgin olive oil and substitute it for butter. Have really decent fish twice a week. Eat more walnuts and salad here and there. Cut down on carbs or lose them most days. That's really all you have to do. It tastes better anyway.

I used to care for a married couple who had been my professors. Breakfast was coffee. Lunch was good cold cuts, nuts, grapes, and a single glass of wine. Dinner was a little garlic bread, salad or marinated eggplant with sardines (better than it sounds), a small pasta dish, then fish or meat with some well-handled vegetable, with wine. A fine diet.
