John 16:33 – In This World You Will Have Trouble
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. Faith =being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we have not seen. All else here is sinking sand... :)

I've had my heart broken literally and figuratively. The depth of feeling alone and isolated is very similar. For heart failure they call it the impending feeling of Doom. The awesome thing about it is in both cases, If you manage to soldier on, fix it up, your heart becomes stronger, More resilient. No longer afraid of Love.

I can answer this from personal experience. Your brain goes into a fog that you never come out of. No matter what you do, no matter what you try, it never goes away. You lose everything from your past, and (hopefully) just fade away without hurting everyone you know.

At the end of time, all you're left with is faith. And then it feels like a rosary nailed to a wall. I'm lucky to have St. Columban as my patron saint. You know, the fat guy shaking hands with the bear? He made poor choices all the time. Whenever his behavior got him into trouble, God filled his pockets with squirrels. That's great, because there are lots of squirrels everywhere, so whenever I see one, God is with me. I reject the Freudian analysis and hope all is well.
But it really sucks when I hit a squirrel with my car.
Howard, we have a lot of differences, but this one is truly beyond the pale. Who cares who is president? You can pry my Claxton fruitcake out of my cold dead hand.
