Polls in Brazil are now showing Flavio Bolsonaro tied with if not ahead of incumbent Lula da Silva for this October's presidential race.
As a result, Brazil's tyrannical judge Alexandre de Moraes just opened a criminal investigation over a tweet Flavio posted about Lula.
I don't believe Moraes will let Flavio run if he can win. The Katie Porter - Eric Swalwell fight is a great example of blue on blue violence in the media. These are two Democrats, each one awful in their own special way. They were both in Congress, and they both tried to make a jump to California governor. (And from there, the White House!)
Swalwell is a sleazy guy who cheated on his wife, multiple times. He's a Ted Kennedy wannabe. Or a JFK wannabe. Or a John Edwards wannabe. Or a Bill Clinton wannabe. Or a Gary Hart wannabe. All these guys have an internal sex fantasy where they are Alpha Male and they get to sleep with all the hotties.
Swalwell's move was to try to seduce women with his access to power. He would talk them into adding the SnapChat app, then would send flirty messages, and apparently some dick pics, and then the messages would delete. That was his cover if anybody wanted to ding him for sex harassment.
Of course that started a lot of whispering on Capital Hill, among the hot young staffers and various women who are attracted to power. Nobody did or said anything, because going public and accusing somebody of adultery is uncool, and you will sabotage your own career.
Katie Porter was in Capital Hill, and probably heard the rumors. When it appeared that Swallow was going to take all that power away from her, she and her dark money reached out to Cheyenne Hunt, a feminist lawyer who used to be her student. Hunt was friends with Annika Albrecht. And the two women spent two weeks calling up all the young women who might help them develop a sex scandal.
They hit the jackpot, and found one woman who had an affair with Swandall in 2019, and a one-night stand with him in 2024, and had two instances of blackout sex with him, when she could not remember what happened. That was the basis of a rape allegation that (now that Swallow is out of office) has been downgraded to "sexual misconduct."
They found three other women, two of whom alleged dick pics, and the other one alleged a kissing-without-consent and a hand-on-the-knee without consent. Allbrecht claims that she was the one who started this process. That's a lie. She has no claims whatsoever against Swallow, other than "he tried to have sex with me, by sending me flirty messages and inviting me to his hotel room." That's not a crime or a tort. What are you, a virgin in the middle ages?
"As a Californian, I am daily bombarded by Tom Steyer's nitwit demagogy about how the monopolies are ripping off the little guys. This is the pinnacle of Dem messaging. Utterly vacuous, ignorant appeals to envy and greed. He would finish the demolition derby begun by Newsom."
He's pushing for socialism. Socialism is a monopoly.
Steyer pitches himself as an outsider willing to take on corporations, fight for affordability, and deliver results Sacramento politicians couldn’t. His campaign promises include breaking up utility monopolies, banning corporate PAC money, building affordable housing, and championing single-payer healthcare. He’s running as a billionaire who’ll take on billionaires. 😂😂😂😂😂
1. Under his management, Farallon Capital Management invested $89.1 million in CoreCivic, a private prison company that operates several immigration detention centers in California. So when it was time for him to make money, he was all four private prison companies housing detention centers for ICE.
Now that he’s made all his money and he can run for office as a progressive Democrat, he can make sure that you have illegals in your city who are hurting your children. He wants to abolish ICE.
2. When he attacked the keystone pipeline, he was actually holding a stock in Kinder Morgan, which had its own pipeline connecting Canadian bitumen sands to the Pacific essentially a Keystone competitor. Again, you need to suffer while he makes money.
3. Farallon was also invested in a giant coal mine in Australia that generated vast quantities of carbon emissions all while Steyer was building his public identity as a climate crusader. So green energy for you and really high costs of energy and not for him because he’s going to continue to make money be a billionaire so then he can be a communist progressive.
Steyer declared that dark money organizations “should have no place in our politics” and I agree yet he has been involved with multiple dark money groups and networks that don’t have to disclose donors.
Specifically: in 2012, Steyer founded NextGen America, a progressive advocacy nonprofit and PAC that doesn’t have to disclose donors. In 2018, a group called State Victory Action seeded with $11 million by Steyer and George Soros partnered with a dark money group called State Engagement Fund.
So no dark money for Republicans or other candidates but dark money for him is totally OK especially when it’s partnered with a Soros family member.
So now that he’s already earned and taken out his 67 million in private equity 2021, now he wants a wealth tax.
Tom Steyer made a $2.4 billion fortune by doing everything he now campaigns against funding fossil fuels, private prisons, offshore tax structures, and dark money.
Which pretty much means that the only people who he wants to impose his policies on are you peons.
If anybody has any interest in running Katie Porter out of office, she assaulted her ex-husband with hot potatoes, scalding him in the face. And she's berated and harassed her female staffers multiple times, some of this caught on video.
Feminists try to silence this criticism ("Silence! Silence!"). But the high staff turnover (Katie Porter is now in the top 10 in Capital Hill) reminds people how much they hate a bad boss, and how nobody wants to work for one. Staffers fleeing Porter's office are like Cubans trying to make it to Florida in a raft.
People will forgive a governmental bad boss, because we think most government employees deserve a good ass-chewing. And when we find ourselves at the mercy of government employees, all too often they are 'bad bosses' to us. (I say all this as an over-25-year government employee; over 30 if you count the Army.)
Porter has a lot of problems, but being mean to her staff isn't one of them. CC, JSM
Over my career, when I was accused of being a toxic boss, it was usually by employees who were, um, less than stellar. Before you raise the chicken/egg question, know that my own bosses' feedback was usually "Yes, John, we all know that Billy Bob hasn't done an honest day's work in 30 years, but you still can't throw a desk at him." CC, JSM
“Steyer leading”? Last actual poll I saw it was Hilton, Bianco, Swalwel, but none of the four articles I read today, including the one semi-quoted above but none gave actual polling data. If Big Media studiously avoids such an important angle of the story it’s a pretty good indicator that the Republican leads the race. After all, every story mentioning the political hit job on Swalwell gave away the game by including a version of the statement “Democrats fear an all Republican runoff in the Fall.”
Why such fear? Are the Republicans leading? Only Polymarket odds were used in support of the Steyer blurb. Why are journalists so afraid to report actual polling data?
I attended a Tom Steyer rally in Iowa. Of all the campaign events I attended, this is the only one that gave out t-shirts. Also, free beer! I was shocked!

I love free beer! Bribing the voters, not so much. It's all free beer until he's in office. And then, we get the bill.
Cardinal Robert Prevost, back in the day, trashed Trump, criticized VP JD Vance, called for open borders, endorsed stricter gun control. So who is Cardinal Robert Prevost? He is now known as Pope Leo.

I don't trust polling at all, but other people do and it affects the horse race. Pretty good article in the NY Post about the most recent polling in California. It's Survey USA, with polling from April 8 to April 10. It's actually a useless poll, I think, because it's prior to the Stalwell implosion (which started on April 10).
Weird how only the NYT poll shows Steyer over Hilton. In their article (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/california-governor-election-polls-2026.html), which is unusual in that it appears to be answers to "who will be the top 2," they list several polls and nearly all of them show Hilton prevailing. Most Hilton over Steyer or over Bianco.
Looks like the latest actual whole-field poll was 4/3 by CalMatters:
St Croix, Mamdani is a bitch. Too bad no one has come in to bend him over. Maybe Commisch Tisch will get tired of his crap. That would be great: a yuppie muzzie getting his ass based to him by a Jewish gal. Can they do a mayoral recall in NYC?
Iran has been funding satellite terror groups for decades. Think Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. It would appear to me that Trump has shut off the financial spigot to these miscreants. Another perfect bank shot by Trump.
Agreed. But my point was that spelling his name is a bitch. The M and the M and the N. But that's nothing compared to the W and the L and the W and the L and the L.
Steyer once claimed climate is what matters most right now, and nothing else comes close but that was a whole six months ago. Since then Bill Gates told everyone climate change isn’t that important and…everyone listened…
Interesting how the Trump DOJ has successfully won TWO writs of mandamus, stopping Judge Boasberg rfom continuing to harass the Trump admin with illegal meddling in immigration cases. Pretty rare for a higher court to take extreme measures against a judge, but the judges are out of control.
Now this activist in robes has been bitch-slapped twice. Most are never subject to this "extraordinary remedy" (as SCOTUS calls it). Roberts needs to get his house in order.
Achilles said...Tom Steyer is the front runner for Governor of California.
Too soon to say given he was a distant 4th in the last polls. Still, it would be hilarious if Porter picked this moment to use her Swalwell dirt and Steyer winds up being the beneficiary. If I'm Tom Steyer, I'm looking hard over my shoulder.
re- Steyer. Anyone who champions "Single Payer Healthcare" - (The tax payer is who pays - while inept government is in charge of it.) IS A joke. We need to move away from government run healthcare. Just look at the UK and Canada for examples of horrific gov run healthcare.
Even if both Republicans are the November candidates for the general election in California's governor election, one of two things will happen- the courts will either order a Democrat onto the ballot or the GOP governor will be recalled his first month in office.
Polls do not matter in CA. The Dem machine will not let a Republican win no matter how popular they are. They won't even care about the cheating be obvious. They will make reporting on cheating illegal if they need to. They have layers of corruption in place to protect them. Legal, judicial, media, financial, whatever it takes.
CA has the highest exodus rate in the country. The only reason it’s not even a higher rate is because most tax paying people can’t afford to move. But they can vote instead. Let’s see what happens.
“Is Donald Trump the antichrist? It's a question some of the loudest voices in MAGA media are asking themselves. Even previously staunch supporters were outraged after Trump posted an AI generated image that appeared to depict himself as Jesus Christ. Although he later deleted the picture and claimed he thought the image showed to him as a doctor. Clint Russell hosted the right-wing Liberty Lockdown Podcast, wrote on X in response. In 18 months, I went from hesitantly voting for Trump to thinking there's a decent chance he's the antichrist. Also writing on X, far-right Texas Pastor Joel Webbon said, I genuinely believe Trump is currently demon possessed. For hosting a livestream chat entitled, Is Donald Trump The Antichrist? Responding to the Jesus like AI generated image Trump had posted on Truth Social, former congressperson and ex Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, It's more than blasphemy, it's an antichrist spirit. Trump and his supporters of long used explicitly religious rhetoric and images to mobilize his base. But especially since the start of the war with Iran, Trump's actions, including a very public and heated row with Pope Leo, have caused a major schism among his supporters that could have lasting effects for him and the Republican party, particularly if he's deserted by Catholic voters. On Easter Sunday, Trump used his Truth Social platform to threaten to destroy civilian infrastructure in Iran writing, Open the fucking Strait you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell, just watch, Praise be to Allah. This post prompted conservative pundit Tucker Carlson, who has previously claimed that Trump survived the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania by divine intervention, to publish a 43 minute long opening monologue in which he claimed the war against Iran was also a war on the Christian faith. Carlson never used the word antichrist, but MAGA media figures like Alex Jones and users of the Donald Trump 666 Subreddit believed that was his insinuation. Trump has also speculated that divine intervention saved him during the attempt on his life, and that, one expert told Wired, is part of the problem for him now. Robert Jones, the President and founder of the Public Religion Research Institute, said that people were reaching for the Antichrist label because Trump had set the stage for that himself, so.”
Ten Years After Ten years ago the NYT began protecting the Dems from misinformation and disinformation by only publishing the Dem side of any story. So now for ten years, Dems have only heard half of any story served up with a sauce of attacks on any other point of view as fascisto-Nazi self expression by Donald Trump and his deluded cultists. Where are they? Are they clever, witty, and informed on politics, national and foreign? Are their leaders experts on foreign policy or city government or school reform? Or even snow removal/garbage pickup? The party voters are trained seals barking out the slogan of the day. Their ostensible leaders are senile or blackmailable while the party's inner circle is, everywhere, a band of looters well represented by the known activities of the Somali-pirate section. That's what you get when you abandon free speech in a democracy.
Meanwhile, The Donald. And behind him, Vance, Rubio, Hegseth. And, off to one side - free speechers - Nick Shirley, Andy Ngo, Bari Weiss. Free spirits - Elon Musk - the Doge Brothers, The Moon Men, On to Mars. Even good Senators: Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Ron Johnson. Too many good people out there to count..
Isn't it clear? No, because one side having lost free speech and become anti-semitic, foul-mouthed supporters of violence still sees itself as democracy's only hope. So foul have their minds become from accepting one-sided interpretations of reality without giving the other side a hearing that they can advocate assassinations and another Holocaust without realizing their ugly twistedness.
Is there a way back, a country road for all of us? Probably because, in fact, most people hold their political opinions far more lightly than they hold their their vacation schedules, not to speak of the right to drive, property titles, air conditioning, their camps, cottages on the lake, mountain homes, beach places and other paraphernalia related to the pursuit of happiness which is stored, as it were, in garages and basements up and down the land. He's pushing for socialism. Socialism is a monopoly.
On Tom Steyer:
Dear California:
Some fun facts about your candidate:
Just like Gavin Newsom.
Ouch.

If anybody has any interest in running Katie Porter out of office, she assaulted her ex-husband with hot potatoes, scalding him in the face. And she's berated and harassed her female staffers multiple times, some of this caught on video.
Katie Porter and the Bad Boss Problem
Feminists try to silence this criticism ("Silence! Silence!"). But the high staff turnover (Katie Porter is now in the top 10 in Capital Hill) reminds people how much they hate a bad boss, and how nobody wants to work for one. Staffers fleeing Porter's office are like Cubans trying to make it to Florida in a raft.
"I don't want this on camera"
I think Katie Porter ought to quit politics and be a very abusive film director. We're known for that shit.
"Cut! Cut! Do it again!"
People will forgive a governmental bad boss
no we won't!
because we think most government employees deserve a good ass-chewing
yeah, but people like Porter think we're all her employees. Who's going to vote for that?
Also campaign staff are not government employees.
Kalshi has Steyer at 65%.
I attended a Tom Steyer rally in Iowa. Of all the campaign events I attended, this is the only one that gave out t-shirts. Also, free beer! I was shocked!
Thinking back to the VR post. One cool VR visit will be when we return to the moon, and they take a 360 camera shot to be viewed in VR.

If you watch the the barroom brawl scene in the original Star Trek episode The Trouble with Tribbles, you’ll see that they will sometimes fight with the tables, but never the chairs. That’s because most of the chairs were rented for the episode and they needed to return them undamaged.

Swing open the Vatican doors Pope, to any and all immigrants! Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua is looking for a new home!
Trying to spell Swalwell's name over and over is driving me crazy. And I thought Mamdani was a bitch.
To this day I am probably pronouncing Kamala's name wrong in my head.
Looks like the latest actual whole-field poll was 4/3 by CalMatters:
https://calmatters.org/commentary/2026/04/california-governor-race-chicken-game/
It shows Hilton 16, Bianco 14 meaning it is all-R unless a D surges soon. (June 2)
St Croix, Mamdani is a bitch. Too bad no one has come in to bend him over. Maybe Commisch Tisch will get tired of his crap. That would be great: a yuppie muzzie getting his ass based to him by a Jewish gal. Can they do a mayoral recall in NYC?
*ass handed to him. CC, JSM
Iran has been funding satellite terror groups for decades. Think Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. It would appear to me that Trump has shut off the financial spigot to these miscreants. Another perfect bank shot by Trump.
Mamdani is a bitch.
Can we get NYC to do this?
Yeah it doesnt matter with her
Interesting how the Trump DOJ has successfully won TWO writs of mandamus, stopping Judge Boasberg rfom continuing to harass the Trump admin with illegal meddling in immigration cases. Pretty rare for a higher court to take extreme measures against a judge, but the judges are out of control.
Now this activist in robes has been bitch-slapped twice. Most are never subject to this "extraordinary remedy" (as SCOTUS calls it). Roberts needs to get his house in order.
He gets the steak knives, will he get the hint
Saint Croix @7:17, now I'm thinking about the Squirrel Nut Zipper's' "Hell"!
Mike try to spell (or say) Mamdani Meddling in Mandamus 10 times fast.
I couldn't do it twice.
And rapey governor fairfax (d va) went homicidal
Achilles said...Tom Steyer is the front runner for Governor of California.
Too soon to say given he was a distant 4th in the last polls. Still, it would be hilarious if Porter picked this moment to use her Swalwell dirt and Steyer winds up being the beneficiary. If I'm Tom Steyer, I'm looking hard over my shoulder.

Anyone who champions "Single Payer Healthcare" - (The tax payer is who pays - while inept government is in charge of it.)
IS A joke.
We need to move away from government run healthcare.
Just look at the UK and Canada for examples of horrific gov run healthcare.
Steyer jumped in the polls because they placed him there.

CA = potential - corruption = crap
Holy S, narciso.
Perhaps but maybe as in endgame...
AAG Harmeet Dillon is on the case, Bagoh. CA may just have a chance to survive.
CA has the highest exodus rate in the country. The only reason it’s not even a higher rate is because most tax paying people can’t afford to move. But they can vote instead. Let’s see what happens.
The city looked like it was sinking into the lake this morning.
It’s Madison so that would be a good thing if it happened.

“Is Donald Trump the antichrist?
It's a question some of the loudest voices
in MAGA media are asking themselves.
Even previously staunch supporters were outraged
after Trump posted an AI generated image
that appeared to depict himself as Jesus Christ.
Although he later deleted the picture
and claimed he thought the image showed to him as a doctor.

In 18 months, I went from hesitantly voting for Trump

It's more than blasphemy, it's an antichrist spirit.
Trump and his supporters of long used
explicitly religious rhetoric
and images to mobilize his base.
But especially since the start of the war with Iran,
Trump's actions, including a very public
and heated row with Pope Leo, have caused a major schism
among his supporters that could have lasting effects for him
and the Republican party,
particularly if he's deserted by Catholic voters.
On Easter Sunday, Trump used his Truth Social platform
to threaten to destroy civilian infrastructure
in Iran writing, Open the fucking Strait

This post prompted conservative pundit Tucker Carlson,
who has previously claimed that Trump
survived the assassination attempt
in Butler, Pennsylvania by divine intervention,
to publish a 43 minute long opening monologue
in which he claimed the war against Iran
was also a war on the Christian faith.
Carlson never used the word antichrist,
but MAGA media figures like Alex Jones
and users of the Donald Trump 666 Subreddit
believed that was his insinuation.
Trump has also speculated that divine intervention saved him
during the attempt on his life,
and that, one expert told Wired,
is part of the problem for him now.
Robert Jones, the President
and founder of the Public Religion Research Institute,
said that people were reaching for the Antichrist label
because Trump had set the stage for that himself, so.”
Ten Years After
Ten years ago the NYT began protecting the Dems from misinformation and disinformation by only publishing the Dem side of any story.
Like a spider web, an airy nothing but, also like spider web, strong as steel.

207 republicans voted to send them away.... 7 Republicans voted to Keep Them Here !

"...Republican Representatives María Elvira Salazar (Florida), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania), Mike Lawler (New York), Don Bacon (Nebraska), Carlos Giménez (Florida), and Nicole Malliotakis (New York) voted alongside 212 House Democrats and one independent to advance a vote to extend Temporary Protected Status for Haitians for three years...."
