"A federal appeals court on Friday allowed construction to continue on President Donald Trump’s new White House ballroom until June, just a day after a federal judge halted progress."

NBC News reports.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post has just come out with an "analysis" of the quantity of Trump's "fixation" on building the ballroom: "Trump’s fixation on White House ballroom is increasing, Post analysis finds/The president has publicly highlighted his ballroom project on roughly a third of the days this year."

That's a gift link, so you can check to see how WaPo measured the mind of Trump.

They had already slapped down the Judge on the 11th. No surprise they would do it again.

I think it's pretty clear by now exactly which parties have the "fixation".

Trump the statesman. WaPout the pedantic.

The irony of a liberal judge aborting progress, and conservative justices deeming her a ballroom worthy of a dance where life is celebrated.

The Left is trying to “Mr. Miyagi” Trump’s second term:

Ballroom On
Ballroom Off
Ballroom On
Ballroom Off

"to see how WaPo measured the mind of Trump."

When Biden was in the White House, Schrödinger's cat was dead. When Trump came back, the cat also came back to life.
It's a miracle.

"The press has highlighted the actions and statements of Mr. Trump, whether or not relevant to the presidency, on roughly every single day this year, last year, the year before that..."

Even when he is the most transparent potus in history they try to use it against him. Democrats are ***.

“The ballroom has been a priority for Trump’s opponents, too. Democrats have used the project as a line of attack ahead of the midterms, casting it as a symbol of misplaced priorities.”

WaPo doing its job of attacking ahead of midterms.

In other newspaper news, the Nebraska Press Association named the Knox County News its newspaper of the year. KCN follows the NYT and WaPo model of being deeply biased and partisan. KCN shills for and protects the County Attorney and Sheriff. Disgraceful and despicable.

Here’s one example. Two young Crofton schoolgirls were hit by a speeding car while they were in a school crosswalk. They were nearly killed. The County Attorney didn’t prosecute. Not a word about this in the KCN.

BTW, one of my comments here on the Althouse blog was reprinted in KCN.

Our local gannett and tribune papers are useless as well

Sounds like WaPo wanted to use their AI, so a journalist thought of a couple of prompts.

Trump is the most communicative president we've ever had. He talks about everything all the time.

Serious Question:
has ANY privious President, EVER had SO MANY adverse rulings overturned?

WaPoo has a hard enough time reporting the news with a measure of competence. Psychological evaluations are way out of their league.

Nice to see a privately-funded White House addition living rent free in a newspaper's head.

Newspapers and magazines are increasingly written for the people who write them. The Economist, for example, increasingly tells you more about what preoccupies its writers and editors than what is going on in the economy.

Trump has a lot of fixations. That's what makes people with ADHD so powerful.

WaPo? Didn't Bezos fire them all a couple weeks ago? What, are they continuing as a non-profit or something?

WoPo is well into the “if Trump praises oxygen, we are not going to breath it” style of analysis.

Since NBC News never links to anything but other NBC News stories, you'll find the actual order here: https://media.cadc.uscourts.gov/orders/docs/2026/04/26-5123LDSN.pdf

Appellate Courts continue to school corrupt district judges on the law. Unfortunately, there is no “media appeals court” to school the leftmediaswine on the facts.
