Is that Bad Bunny? You hipster, you.

Meade કહ્યું...

Bad Bunny; Good Althouse.

Looks like fun out on the ice.

Tangentially, a dozen large eggs cost me $1.97 at Walmart last week.

Song I was listening to on headphones at the time: "Puff the Magic Dragon."

Reason: A propos of that post about Murakami, I was playing the Spotify playlist of the songs named in his novel "Norwegian Wood."

"A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys/Painted wings and giant's rings make way for other toys"

Howard કહ્યું...

Other toys like the AC-47 Spooky. AKA: Puff the Magic Dragon

I love it when I hear traditional Mexican music pouring out of someone's job-site radio.. or car.

That is just noise.

Peachy કહ્યું...

I say job-site based on who shows up to work. So - don't get all weird.

Didja measure the thickness of that ice first? Hope so.

Flew over Picnic Point this morning on our flight out of Madison. Bird's eye view; it sticks way out into the lake, much more than it feels like on the ground. At least for me.

My mother says I had her play that endlessly when I was a child. I do remember loving it.

"My mother says I had her play that endlessly when I was a child."

My mother said that about me and "The Mexican Hat Dance."

Meade કહ્યું...

My mother complained that I wouldn’t stop playing Brokedown Palace when I was a child.

I had a K-Tel compilation album with both Crocodile Rock and Rocket Man. Played the hell out of that. CC, JSM

Solitary figure advancing along the frozen landscape.

I had to look that up. I know the song, but didn't know its name.

Howard કહ્યું...

Mexican Hat Dance is essentially a Polka

Original Mike કહ્યું...

Hmmm. Have a 10 hour layover. "American Beauty" sounds like a good idea.

Jamie કહ્યું...

I remember listening to Jesus Christ Superstar over and over and over via giant headphones on my dad's reel-to-reel when I was six. I would get to the crucifixion scene and rewind to the beginning because the creepy voices scared me. I still know all the words to everything up to that point.

Jaq કહ્યું...

When my baby daughter would start crying, the best cure was to sing "Mammy's Little Baby Loves Shortening Bread."

All the bridges, railroads, dams etc were designed and built by Germans. It's why my high school room mate was named Guerrmo Hauser,
