The article, by James Rosen, talks about how Nixon was also the victim of spying and burglary – by the Pentagon, who used a young Navy petty officer to steal documents from Kissinger and Haig, and almost compromised the secret preparations for the summit with Mao.
Much of the story was public at the time, but Mr Rosen only recently got his hands on seven classified pages of Nixon’s 1975 grand jury testimony.

Hank Cherry won the bass tournament here with twenty fish over four days; total weight of 88 lbs., 4 oz. - an average of almost four and a half pounds each. He got a nice trophy and $100k for his efforts. He won their major here in 2020 and its check for $300k, so I guess he likes our lake.
He spent most of his time fishing between the slips of Alred Marina - where I’ve kept three of my boats - and the main channel. I’ve cruised those exacts spots hundreds of times over the years, occasionally sober, so it was cool to see it on live-stream.
Guntersville is always ranked in the top five largemouth fisheries on the planet; often the best. To use a golf analogy, it’s the Augusta National or Cypress Point of bass. And that little strip of the lake that I often cruise is like the 13th or 16th holes, respectively.

Just saw the Budweiser commercial with the colt and the eaglet and "Free Bird" playing in the background. I had seen it before a couple of weeks ago, so it wasn't new to me. I've noticed there have been several commercials with songs from the '70s and '80s. Boomers may be starting to exit the stage, but our music is still around.

There is clearly no conflict of interest here or in any of Trump's business deals, domestic or international. His interest is completely focused on two things: his wealth and staying out of prison. I see no sign that those two goals ever come into conflict.
I also take credit for the interception because after that second touchdown, I went and did some other things that and even checked over to see what was going on with the Olympics came back as soon as I started watching there was the interception.

Actually I didn’t get bored. I didn’t watch long enough to get bored. I looked up and for some reason, decided to stare at the thing for a few seconds, and there was a touchdown. Feeling satisfied that I had caused the touchdown. I immediately stopped watching because I had my satisfaction of finally getting a touchdown in the game. Then I went upstairs not because I was bored but because I was sleepy. I want to be where I can fall asleep.

KT Tunstall's debut album Eye to the Telescope was re-issued last December in a 20th anniversary "Stargazer Edition," with bonus tracks. I finally got around to listening to it today. Her second album, Drastic Fantastic, is my favorite. There's an Ultimate Edition that not only has the original ten songs, but five more studio songs that didn't make the album, live tracks and remixes, and then at the end, instrumental versions of eight of the ten original songs. They're really interesting to listen to, because while I love her vocals, it's cool to see the musical scaffolding that they are hung on.

My wife puts the TV on to Fox News with fairly high volume, so I get it as background noise. What's the fascination? The coverage has been non-stop, and since there is virtually no information forthcoming, it's been a pageant of non-stop expert speculation on what might be going on, with lots of examples of what happens elsewhere. It's ridiculous. Who is this person? It's like the kid that fell into the abandoned water well. There's no real news happening, apparently, so the entire machine has been deployed on this disappearance, saturating the airwaves with it. If something important happened in the world, they wouldn't be able to cover it - they're too wrapped up in this little saga.

The NFL wants to expand and have teams outside of the US. Teams in Central and South America, and Mexico, make the most sense. They share U.S. time zones so are much easier to fit into the TV model. Hence Bad Bunny.

We decided after halftime to watch some of the game on the big screen. It was something we always thought we would do. I’ve seen SEC games with better production. We turned it off after the second TD. It was obvious who the better team was by then and I got work to do today.
The NFL has a poor product made worse by NBC, made even worse by electing to hold the game in San Francisco. California sensibility is to have a commercial for Scream LX after a Charlie Pugh National Anthem. If that is the pageantry they have to offer, then I’ll give it the attention it deserves.
The TPUSA Halftime wasn’t great either. We watched it over Bad Bunny. It deserves better praise than that, but there is other ways to show pride in America. The tribute to Charlie Kirk at the end was the best part, and I think it is because he showed an honor to be an American, which was lacking last night.

People say that high speed computers negate stealth, that for example, F-35s have an echo that mixes with noise, that is down in the mud of the signal to noise ratio, but that it had direction, and if you have enough computational power, you can examine *all* of these "noise artifacts" and if you see one that has direction, is flying at 100s of miles per hour, is coming toward you, well you can strongly infer that you are seeing an F-35 incoming. AI will help with this a lot.
Also, the broad flat bottom of a stealth bomber reflects cell phone tower signals, TV broadcast signals, etc, sure, you can't target a missile with that information, but it gives you a passive early warning that can't be taken out with HARM missiles.
We have made a huge bet on stealth, other great powers have bet on missiles, which are far cheaper than F-35s, unmanned, expendable, and the price of a missile is comparable to the cost of a mission with an F-35, cheaper, probably, than a B2.
You would think too that the tankers would be vulnerable, and that aircraft carriers would be vulnerable to attack by saturation attacks, or maneuverable hypersonic missiles which are protected from radar detection by the plasma envelope.
So here we go. Let's see if this is all nonsense, or if we have bet trillions on obsolete tech. If Trump OKs bombing Iran it will be an interesting test of these theories which are all out there. Not sure it would be the same as an attack on China or Russia directly, since Iran's home grown air defenses were pummeled in the 12 day war, and real layered air defense takes more than a few months to build. Still it will be an interesting test that I hope we don't undertake.

Whether you like his music or not, you can't argue that it was an intelligent and dazzling performance which managed to pack a dozen scenes into the center of the field. Had it been a country artist singing of his love of Texas, nobody would have batted an eyelid. Only someone who hates America could have a problem with a performance that showcased an often-overlooked part of the country with patriotism and pride.
Knocking such a well coordinated and flawlessly performed spectacle says volumes more about the critic than the quality of the content. Maybe somebody really wanted them portrayed as APES. Hard to say.

It's simple and same cause. Each has exhausted their existing demographic and is widening into others.
600 million Spanish speakers, including 60 million in the US, are a huge economic and cultural powerhouse (the third largest economic bloc and the second largest community of native speakers in theworld). The NFL is not ignorant. It has simply identified a trend the likes of Trump and MAGA cannot stop.
One thing that I noticed in my household is that Bad Bunny drew in people who don't like football. I guess that that was the point. But of the three people at my house who only watched to see him, well, they were done watching as soon as his performance was over; time will tell how it works out.
My husband and I were out and about on Thursday and got sucked in to a local brewery (owned by an Australian) that was showing the first game of the Six Nations... tournament? Anyway, rugby thingy, that's going to continue for the next four weeks. Neither of us had ever watched rugby; we stayed for the whole match. WAY more fun to watch than soccer OR football.
Trump bombed Iran last year. I’m not aware of major technological advances made in the past year in IAD. I don’t really care to get in a knowledge pissing contest on this, but calling something a theory when it was put in practice a year ago is a silly argument. Houston has a professional rugby team. A friend of mine is the personal pilot for the owner of the team. Agree, it is a much more interesting sport. Cricket is interesting too, but the matches are far too long.

In a curious way, I am enjoying the homogeneity of many of the Olympic teams. Watching the Japanese skating team, for example. They look. … Japanese! They are Japanese! They managed to make all of the Venezuelan air defenses inoperable. Including their state of the art Chinese missile system. Nobody knew they were coming. Nobody knew they were there. Until they were.
Tuned in to watch the Bunny man. First of all, the staging was great. Whoever designed the show deserves accolades. However, the singing and music were awful. The dude seemed to be ripping off David Byrne with the big suit routine. The crotch grabbing and grunting was dumb. Performing it in a foreign language probably made it even more boring. If you’re going to be controversial you should at least try to be interesting.

I am not assuming anything. I don't believe anything I read about future potential wars and assume that everything is probably propaganda. What I do do is look at what people say, and then compare them to what happens, and adjust my weights on their point of view accordingly.

That is possibly true, they had outdated S-300 systems, and it also isn't hard to imagine that bribes came into play. I don't believe that Venezuela proves anything. For one thing, it would have been very difficult for Russia or China to get modern equipment deployed there, Iran is connected to Russia by the Caspian Sea where the US Navy does not operate. You can't get to it from the high seas except by a canal through Russia and the only nations allowed to operate there, by international treaty, are Those states are: Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
We regime changed Azerbaijan, but if they seize a Russian flagged ship, they are going to be the next Ukraine, but without a way for NATO to help them and without the largest army in Europe, not counting Russia. China also has a land route to Iran.

After our rugby afternoon, we went home and watched a couple of Rugby For Dummies kinda of videos. We are now slightly less ignorant than we were.

Actually, one reason I like Union over League is that they have real scrums. In League, scrums are pro forma. The team that starts with possession of the ball virtually always keeps possession of the ball. The other team doesn't even try to get it. I asked an Aussie rugby fan about this once and he just rolled his eyes.
