The Constitution allows one representative for at least 30,000 constituents, so we could have about 11,000. So why not expand from 438 to 1,000 or so (not married to any particular number)? For those who think the Senate has to many votes in the Electoral College, this would dilute that. All 1,000 districts would be newly drawn, & there would be no true incumbents & at least 562 new faces. What are the pros & cons?
It’s a great idea but I don’t know how it would be implemented. Congress won’t dilute their own power and I’m doubtful that we’ll ever see another amendment survive the proscribed constitutional ratification.

On the other hand, with a better rep-to-repped ratio, ordinary people will have a better chance to get their Congresscritter's ear. Could be more like British MPs' 'surgery,' where they sit and take complaints from all comers.

ProPublica, a liberal nonprofit funded by George Soros, has doxxed the Border Patrol agents involved in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti as part of an ideological crusade.
“ProPublica is publishing the names of the two federal immigration agents involved in the fatal shooting of Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti,” the organization posted in a statement on social media. “We believe there are few investigations that deserve more sunlight and public scrutiny than this one, in which two masked agents fired 10 shots at Pretti as he lay on the ground after being pepper-sprayed.”

Noem says ICE alone has received 220,000 applications for 10,000 openings. My comment - given the scale of the job 10,000 seems far too little. But if they want to fund more positions these people are available. I expect a great many are local/state police.
As of the start of the evening there were still almost 30,000homes and businesses without power in Nashville. This is on full week after Fern hit the region. Admit it, Althouse, DEI hires have no place in positions of responsibility, where people’s lives might’ve at stake. Women need to stop hiding behind capable tech CEOs like Kathy Warddn and capable political leaders like Noem and just let people who grasp that a job is there to be done, and not just to collect a salary while la-de-da-ing around the office, take the jobs.

Starting to see why the left is so obsessed with Epstein. They are convinced that they are just one revelation away from destroying Trump (or apparently Musk). They aren’t. And the more that is exposed, the more the left is hurt. The left is hurt, because that is the crowd that Epstein ran in - super elite NYC Dems. Very often, Jewish, at least ethnically, like Epstein.
Epstein had almost nothing that Trump was interested in, except a private jet. And sometimes it was just easier for Trump to catch a ride between NYC and Miami, with Epstein, where both had houses, than use his own jet. Trump had no interest in Epstein’s women. Not having had the pick of NYC’s supermodels for decades. And marrying three of them. Not having owned the Miss USA pageant. Etc.
Trump was, and still is, a builder. A doer. Epstein was a talker and a hanger on. No one, even to this day, really knows where his money came from. Best guess, so far, seems to be a bit of blackmail, a bit of information selling, and maybe a bit of Israeli Intelligence money.
What I think happened is that the two would somewhat frequently meet and rub elbows at parties in NYC and Miami. Then Epstein crossed the line with a woman or two, at MAL. Trump banned him there, and never trusted him after that. Sure, superficially, they appeared to still be buddies. But that is just how Trump is - he can be best friends with Putin and Xi, and the next one appear to be their mortal enemy. And Epstein continued to try to take advantage of that, trying to sell some insights into Trump, from their time in proximity to each other. But he never really had any dirt on Trump. Just the potential that he might, kept the money flowing in. Esp with the fervid TDS in the crowds that Epstein ran in.
“ Clueless Readering said: “I guess NFL knew what it was doing: Bad Bunny wins Grammy for album of the year.“”
Halftime at the Super Bowl used to be a big thing. You might not be interested in the game itself, but you, and millions of others, would tune in for the halftime show. Now, many of those watching it, just mute their TVs through the halftime show, and do something else. And those of us who didn’t watch it, don't bother at all. Used to be a great day to go skiing (like New Year’s Day). Not so much any more.
Long run, it was idiotic, on the part of the NFL. IN recent years, the audiences that are attracted to NFL football, are repelled by the halftime shows, and visa versa. The demographic enjoying those shows were, for the most part, not the demographic that cheered on their HS football team, or even played a bit. Football fandom comes with a lot of what they call Toxic Masculinity.
“ Messages were sent Sunday to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE, seeking to confirm details of the incident, including that federal agents deployed tear gas against demonstrators.
Portland Mayor Keith Wilson said the daytime demonstration was peaceful, “where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat and posed no danger” to federal agents.
“To those who continue to work for ICE: Resign. To those who control this facility: Leave,” Wilson wrote in a statement Saturday night. “Through your use of violence and the trampling of the Constitution, you have lost all legitimacy and replaced it with shame.”
The Portland Fire Bureau sent paramedics to treat people at the scene, police said. Police officers monitored the crowd but made no arrests Saturday.”
They are just now conducting hearings into election fraud in MI, and it is pretty ugly. A lot of physical intimidation happened, to keep Republicans from preventing a Dem victory.
Who else is left, of the swing states the Dems stole in 2020? PA? Massive Dem election fraud in AZ and GA have already been exposed. Last week, the FBI raided the election facilities for Fulton County, GA, scooping up the ballots, their provenance, tally tapes, etc. so far, we know that over a third of a million ballots there were illegally included in the state counts, which is 30x Biden’s winning margin in that state. And the tally tapes weren’t signed, as they legally should have been, because the Fulton County election officials are the ones who locked Republicans election judges out of the room where the counting was going on, after it was discovered that the Biden count was too “light”.
We talked recently, in a recent thread, about the Trump Administration having too much muzzle velocity. Several of us pointed out that what they were really talking about is rate of fire. In modern infantry tactics, you use machine guns, with high rates of fire, to keep your enemy’s heads down, while the rest of your unit maneuvers around them, to take them from the side. And, I think that these attacks on Dem election fraud are a result of this. The Dems are all so focused on their attacks on ICE, whether we are going to bomb Iran, whether the Worker’s Paradise of Cuba is finally going to implode, etc, that they have missed the center thrust at one of their key weapons - election fraud. And maybe too, thrusts against their money supply, in the form of graft and fraud on government programs - such as the Somalis in MN.
“Portland Mayor Keith Wilson said the daytime demonstration was peaceful, “where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat and posed no danger” to federal agents.”
Of course, it was planned that way. The arsonists and those wrecking violence, hide in the crowds of nonviolent protesters. And the nonviolent protesters are there for just that reason - to hide those committing the violence. That’s how they operated in the summer of 2020 in Portland, and it’s silly to think that they wouldn’t be doing the same today. And the mayor’s response is exactly why the continue rioting this way.
Epstein had almost nothing that Trump was interested in, except a private jet. And sometimes it was just easier for Trump to catch a ride between NYC and Miami, with Epstein, where both had houses, than use his own jet.
I’m not even sure that is accurate. The thing about aircraft is they cost a lot of money to own, maintain, and keep crewed that gets wasted if they just sit on the ground. Airlines make profit by keeping planes in the air doing what they do as much as possible. So if you have the aircraft and crew, then the best thing to do is have others help pay for all of it by letting them use it when you are not. That’s even better if you have the plane on a popular route between Teterboro and West Palm Beach. It is like having a second home that you AirBnB when you’re not using it. You most likely don’t use it together.
And this is the problem for most people associated with Epstein’s jet. However, I don’t recall the Clintons having homes in New York and Florida nor the Caribbean.
They should be forced to show their faces and should be easily individually identifiable. The state should show its face is surely a fundamental American value.
I am proud of Minneapolis for standing up against Trump’s ICE raids. It takes a lot of courage to organize relentless peaceful protests against large groups of armed men with little training and who feel they have immunity to do as they please, especially in 20 below zero temperatures.
It appears that the Minneapolis ICE operation- the largest ever- was meant to be the rollout of a plan to give ICE agents unfettered ability to round up illegal immigrants by any means necessary and to make a show of force against anyone standing in their way.
That resulted in hundreds of cases of excessive force, false arrest, illegal search and seizure, among other crimes committed by masked ICE agents, including murder. These crimes were committed against citizens, legal, and illegal immigrants alike. The approach of ICE agents has been to arrest first and ask questions later, as apparently they earn a bonus based on the number of arrests they make.
What nonsense! As our good friend D.D. made clear by repeatedly directing us all to the flight logs, on the two occasions Trump flew on Epstein's plane he was accompanied by his wife, Marla Maples. I understand that the lifestyles of the rich and famous are different from those of you and me, but I would think that when you jet off for a weekend of fun and frolic with nubile teenagers you don't typically bring the wife along. But what do I know? (Answer--"Nothing at all, Dear.")
Whether it's Hillary Clinton writing "pls print" 35 times in emails on a private server or Donald Trump being mentioned 38,000 times in the emails of a notorious sex trafficker, both candidates had a fraught relationship with electronic communication.

Duty of Inquiry: How could it destroy the Connecticut compromise? The framers knew they were putting the 30,000 constituent minimum into the Constitution and that the number of representatives would increase. We started out with far fewer than 438. If anything, it has been freezing the number at that level which has been anomalous.
Maria Shriver=Kennedy Center closing = “Translation: It has been brought to my attention that due to the name change (but nobody’s telling me it’s due to the name change), but it’s been brought to my attention that entertainers are canceling left and right, and I have determined that since the name change no one wants to perform there any longer,” she wrote in an X post. trump= “I’ve determined that due to this change in schedule, it’s best for me to close this center down and rebuild a new center that will bear my name, which will surely get everybody to stop talking about the fact that everybody’s canceling… right?” Shriver went on. C'mon man why Gaslight, loss of over 50% of business since trumps name change stunt,.Just a way to stop the public bleeding, Always a gaslight. :(
Of course, it was planned that way. The arsonists and those wrecking violence, hide in the crowds of nonviolent protesters.
At first, they were satisfied, it seems, with employing "wine moms" (as Kak calls them) in the front lines. Tragically, one of those women, not an organizer and not an Antifa or Black Bloc member but duped into believing that she had the chance to be the hero of her own story, gave her life for the delusion she had been led to - that she could act with impunity against armed federal agents who were being purposely placed under terrible stress by her side.
Pretti wasn't a "wine mom" - by all accounts he was more involved than they are - but he still tragically gave his life for that same delusion.
The next horrible person appears to be getting kids to believe that delusion. How long before a high school kid with a learners permit tries a Renee Good feint with her mom's car?
How are the tactics of the organizers different from Hamas ' hiding behind women and children? Because their strategy is certainly the same: obfuscate your indefensible position by creating a PR screen with the eager assistance of the media.
A reminder for those playing Unhinged Democrat Bingo: today’s game is Four Corners, so we’ll only be calling out phrases from the ‘B’ and ‘O’ columns. And, boy, are we off to a great start!! So keep those blotters handy: today’s prize is a ride-along with the Hispanic ICE or Border Patrol Agent of your choice! And we think you’ll agree that this prize is Pretti Good!!
'And the tally tapes weren’t signed, as they legally should have been' I like how everyone just ASSUMES the tally tapes weren't signed. Did the media ever ask the folks that were supposed to sign if they signed the tapes? Did the media ask why they didn't sign them? Just a big empty space where media is supposed to be. If your records didn't match what you had already reported what would you do? I know what GA does.
"I like how everyone just ASSUMES the tally tapes weren't signed."
Fulton County has admitted they weren't signed. What I'm trying to find out is exactly what these tapes are and who was suppose to sign them. If we had a functioning media, I'd already know the answer.

I may have to comeback to X just so I can post stuff I capture while out and about.
Georgie Soros strikes again. The man should be hung.

I take it The Epstein Files are missing the peep hole videos from the island? Does that mean the files are incomplete and… the fat lady has not sung. Or, the fat lady did sing and nobody heard her because she is now on Ozempic. Couple with her Ozempic face she’s completely unrecognisable. And now you know why nothing seems to ever get put to bed these days. Everything just keeps going on and on. I’m on the second episode of the 50 cent Doc on Puff. Finding out how Tupac and Biggie Smalls may have been rubbed off.
Spanberger and her cohorts will be actively fighting for this "Virginia Man" to stay and be free to murder Americans now... She'll claim it isn't fair, that he is a family man trying to make it in America....

“Name one time Trump visited Pedo Island, Inga. Just once.”
LOL, Elon musk claimed he was never on the island either…
So, you got nothing.
Typical.
Do you even realize how badly you're being used? How you're being duped?
And you have the gall to tell the rest of us we're clueless? And wave your finger of shame at us?
I'd tell you to take a good look into the mirror, Inga. But if I were you, I'd avoid it, too.
You define projection.
This is interesting -

Noem says ICE alone has received 220,000 applications for 10,000 openings. My comment - given the scale of the job 10,000 seems far too little. But if they want to fund more positions these people are available. I expect a great many are local/state police.
I guess NFL knew what it was doing: Bad Bunny wins Grammy for album of the year.
Let’s not confuse cause and effect.
Perhaps the voters chose Bad Bunny BECAUSE conservative America reacted so strongly to the NFL’s choice? #FUMAGA?
Other messages revealed Epstein claimed he could give the Kremlin valuable insight into Mr Trump ahead of a summit with Putin in Helsinki.
Big deal. Inga and millions like her walk around believing they have valuable insights into Trump.
Unlike Putin, we don’t get to not hear them.
Fascists doing fascist things. My favorite is the “don’t honk” because they want you to know you have no first amendment rights with them.
Clueless Readering said: “I guess NFL knew what it was doing: Bad Bunny wins Grammy for album of the year.“
Yesiree, the Grammy voters/ Hollywood are surely representative of the NFL fan base. NFL commissioner and fellow wokester Roger Goodell is a clueless as you are Readering.
”where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat and posed no danger” to federal agents.
That’s true of every crime in every town on every day.
Are we not supposed to arrest murderers because most people didn’t kill anyone today?
’where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat and posed no danger’
Sounds like it was mostly peaceful. lol
Keeping portland weird
I just thought that thousands of peaceful protesters turning out was telling in itself.
That they were unconstitutionally gassed by the government is another issue.
I realize the need for the polishers to do their spit shine thing.
’That they were unconstitutionally gassed by the government is another issue.’
Clearly a violation of the Good and Plenty clause. Good catch, Ronald - what would we do without you!! lol
The ethnic cleansing of the Springfield pet eaters starts tomorrow.

ICE agents hate being filmed.
The Democrat Misery Index is really spiking this morning!!
"And the tally tapes weren’t signed, as they legally should have been, because the Fulton County election officials are the ones who locked Republicans election judges out of the room where the counting was going on, after it was discovered that the Biden count was too “light”."
Who were the officials who were required to sign those tapes? What was their position(s)?
👆 Trump's secret police force are shooting and imprisoning innocent Americans. Not everyone is happy about it.
Kak @ 9:00 “Trump's secret police force are shooting and imprisoning innocent Americans. Not everyone is happy about it.”
Apparently the gerrymandered District 9 of Texas isn’t keen on it. I think the delight remains only with the Bubble People.

I may have to create the Democrat Coping Index, too. lol

“I’ve determined that due to this change in schedule, it’s best for me to close this center down and rebuild a new center that will bear my name, which will surely get everybody to stop talking about the fact that everybody’s canceling… right?” Shriver went on. C'mon man why Gaslight, loss of over 50% of business since trumps name change stunt,.Just a way to stop the public bleeding, Always a gaslight. :(

We already have ‘secret police’, and a phrase so untethered from reality, ‘ethic cleansing’ we almost retired it!
So keep those blotters handy: today’s prize is a ride-along with the Hispanic ICE or Border Patrol Agent of your choice! And we think you’ll agree that this prize is Pretti Good!!
'And the tally tapes weren’t signed, as they legally should have been'
I like how everyone just ASSUMES the tally tapes weren't signed.

You’re probably right. Getting the Bubble People to accept proven facts is challenging in itself.

It’s a sad day in America when good and moral people won’t join Ronald’s unending defense of Funtime Showertime Biden’s open borders which flooded our country with millions of illegals!
