Contempt for white women on the right traces to the Karen phenomenon. It has been amplified by the dominance of white women in leftwing protests. Like the glorious photos of some woman at a pro-illegal alien rally screaming in the face of a minority person. If guys do that, it doesn't make the news.
It's unfair to generalize that to all white women, but it's human nature. Inevitable. Generalize is what humans do and damned if there aren't a lot of white women in the most ridiculous ranks of the most ridiculous leftwing protests.

I know a lot of ducks personally, and duck rape is real, and you can't blame the victim. The females keep it frumpy. Guys don't really do that -- or not so much. Young white men were driving the New Left of the 1960s. That's not true of today's left. Men must still play a big role in Antifa and the most violent left -- which channel their aggressive instincts -- but in less violent groups they're outnumbered by women. They get crowded out as they increasingly are in universities, corporations, and the professions.
As Mason mentioned and Jordan B. Peterson has spoken about, men are careful in the escalation of conflict with another male because of the physical violence that might occur and the ramifications of that. Women, on the other hand, think they have this forcefield of invisible protection that they can do whatever they want and no punching will occur. So they are VERY surprised when they get arrested, or punched back, or shot dead.
"Furious" isn't the correct word. I think that "disgusted" comes closer given the level of ridicule that the right wing people on the internet keep heaping on them.
Also, the main reason that white, liberal women are being singled out is that they are the largest demographic group at all these "protests."

We subscribe to Britbox and Acorn TV. If contempt toward women is pervasive in the UK, it is very well hidden. Female protaganists outnumber males. The honest police supervisors and cops are mostly female. When there are villains, they are overwhelmingly male.

My sister-in--law's name is Karen. Her son got my brother a T-shirt for Christmas that said "Shut Up Karen". "He's not wearing that", she said.
The demeaning bias in TV and it's advertising is not just unfair to men. It's a big part of where these women got their unrealistic ideas about family, social interaction and the sexes. They have more disdain for men than they get in reverse. These women only have praise for weak or dishonest men, and see righteous men as the enemy. They even hate male ducks for pursuing love and wanting families in the traditional duck way.

Contempt for women has been pervasive in history, and it still is in many parts of the world, but in America today the script has flipped; instead there is pervasive contempt for men and boys.
The left eventually ruins everything it touches. It touched these women. Did it get consent? I'd say no. They were force fed it in mandatory public school, media, and culture. Many chose to go back for seconds in college. Upon leaving school they were armed with confidence, vocabulary, and self righteousness to spread the word of the new religion.
In the fifth grade, we used to tell people we didn't like: "Go away and play ... in traffic." And that's what white women-allies are being told by today's left. I think white people have a complicated reaction to those foolish women who listen and do go play in traffic. We may not understand black lives but we do understand these white lives, these women who have agreed to be brainless and spineless because it makes them feel fashionable. Oh sure, they call it being moral but it's the opposite, it's just following that embedded desire all women have to be better and yet to conform which is achieved by being a style ahead. Just as men have to get a grip on their competitiveness, so women have to get a grip on their desire to be fashionable because, in these days, algorithms and lefty organizers have learned to exploit the unexamined life. And, as Renee did not learn in time, that can be fatal.
I don't think at all that a mom should be shot dead at a protest but she will be if what she calls "a protest" is really playing in traffic and worse, interfering with armed officers of the law who are arresting armed gang members. That isn't protest; that's volunteering yourelf be tied to the front of a vehicle in a Mad Max battle scenario. And what is the wonderful cause they doing it for? To keep murderers, pimps, rapists, and child abusers (who are mostly men) at large in the city of Minneapolis. And what is the primary result? Their own children will grow up orphans. This strikes me as pretty true. On the right, only "white women" who behave in certain ways - notably Karen-fashion - are held in contempt. Women (white or not) who don't assume authority they don't have and don't try to make everyone dance to their tune seem to me to be just fine to the right. (That's been my personal experience, and also my observation from current events.)
On the left, however, white women have an uphill battle, because they are after all white, and therefore part of the Oppressor class. So they absolutely must be allies, or else.
White Fragility was - in this one respect, at least - a moment of sanity, IF Goldberg was correct that it marked the beginning of the left's contempt for white women, because that contempt stemmed from their tendency to whitesplain and to prioritize their feelings over those of anyone else - that is, to be Karens. Women of the left (let's be honest, the right was not White Fragility's intended audience) who had been sold the idea that their femaleness plus allyship (shouldn't that be "alliance"?) with the Oppressed would be enough to counteract their membership in the Oppressor class behaved in these ways a lot, it seems to me. They were really annoying allies who were constantly privileging their idea of how the Oppressed should feel, act, and react over the actual people standing in front of them.

Note that it works best in still pictures. Another disadvantage women in general have is that we sound ridiculous when yelling. We are called harpies because too often we sound hysterical rather than powerfully angry. I'm sure that female actors (I will pedantically point out that we don't say "doctresses") take instruction on how to deepen their anger-voices; protestors don't. But obviously they should, because they just sound stupid shrieking, "Shame!"

You can take this two ways, it seems to me: "if guys were to do that..." meaning that they generally don't (and that's why it's not in the news), or "the news ignores it when guys do it." I agree with the first interpretation more, both because of the general (though not universal) male caution in escalating as others have discussed above, and because I'm these days of X I think we would see it if it were happening. But I also think women are being targeted to fill this role, just as Rosa Parks was carefully chosen for her important role, because everyone, right and left, still shares at least a vestige of the sense that it's wrong to retaliate physically against even the most obnoxious woman. Even a literally insane one. Even one who hits you first.

Just spitballing here, but maybe it's not contempt for women in general as much as it is contempt for particular women. As far as women being held in contempt as a sex, that's often true outside of western civilization. For an example, just look at the majority of the muslim world.

We have graduated more white women in the last couple of decades than we ever have. They outnumber men in high school graduation, and there are more women attending college and graduating with bachelor's degrees or advanced degrees than ever. Far more than men today.
And over the past 20+ years, our universities have turned our women, particularly our white women, into raging lunatics. Left leaning became more leftist when attending college. Those who went into college as true believers are now making videos of themselves howling at the moon and screaming threats at various people- usually men.
It is mass insanity. And many of these women reside in education and in the media. So...you can see how bad thinking gets laid out and amplified. Do this over a couple of decades and they believe they can turn any bad idea into reliable fact. Such as the doctor testifying to Congress the other day who could not for the life of her answer the question as to whether or not men could have babies.

Dang. I wish I had known that when I had to replace my brother on the farm, which meant helping with haying all summer slinging haybales. I'm just thankful we had only 20 cows to milk year 'round. Maybe the American White Women need to be separated into Country and City.

I think White women are using the Minneapolis riots as a form of free therapy and emotional dumping. It's called scream therapy and it may help people, especially wealthy White women, release unresolved emotional pain or trauma. All the screaming acts as a release valve, allowing the screamers to let go of pent-up, deep-seated emotions. Black women do it all the time. At Kohls or McDonalds or at work or wherever, it doesn't matter. If you're a woman, every place is a safe space to express any emotion that most men are taught to suppress or hide in their daily life.

bagoh KNOWS ducks! As a gentleman rice farmer in SE Asia, with a barnyard full of fowl, I can verify that male ducks are rapier than Muslim refugees in Austrian kiddie pools. He also has it right about the relative noise from hens and drakes. My wife bought 20 hen chicks and they grew up to be so noisy that we gave away the ones we couldn't eat. I note in passing that they were all white. The black hens and the spotted hens were better behaved. Make of that what you will.
