We were a family for 18 years. I see her every couple years at events involving kids or grandkids. Stay under the same roof for a few days - enjoy catching-up. We might even be “friends” on Facebook? We let each other down in big ways (she DID hit me first!). We always kinda liked each other but it wasn’t enough. Life without forgiveness isn’t much of a life.
