What are these luxuries? We're told there are "customized meals personally delivered to her cell, after-hours time in a private exercise area and access to a service puppy.... private meetings with visitors arranged by the warden, complete with snacks...."

Most of the 'privileges' given Ghislaine could also reasonably be described as arrangements made by the management to minimize the disruption of having such a high-profile prisoner, in an institution full of people (on both sides of the bars) being actively recruited by media organizations for tidbits of info on her. And also "defensive medicine" against a person who still probably has unlimited resources to sue the government.
Expediting her visitors? Cuts down on exposure time. Exercising alone? Same thing. Customized food, whatever that is? Saves thousands of manhours and millions of dollars in lawsuit defense. Puppy? Every puppy-hour is a Ghislaine-hour not being spent on some mischief. Etc. CC, JSM
