Michelle Obama’s book The Look is sliding down the Amazon Best Sellers list - currently at #49, which is surprising. Mirroring her recent interviews, the book is “laced with a clear undercurrent of unresolved hurt over the ‘less grace’ afforded to her family compared to predecessors.” Maybe that attitude is what’s hurting sales.
Kamala Harris’s book 107 Days is at #254. It had a good run.

I just found out that last night I fell for a hoax. Federal judge Dabney Friedrich did not issue an injunction blocking the Trump administration from power-washing the Exdcutive Office Building. The report had been published by a hitherto reliable source. I’ll be double checking his info in the future.

What happens to MTG's seat, when she vacates? How is it filled before midterms? It isn't:

I have been torturing my cat with a laser pointer. Or, I have been amusing my cat with a laser pointer. It is really amazing how determined cats are to catch that little dot of light. It is simply not within the possibilities of their kitty-kat minds to recognize that there is no material object associated with the dot.

This makes me wonder; what if you took a bunch of kittens, and divided them into two groups. One group gets very frequent laser dots to chase. The other does not. Will they develop differently? Will their brains be physically different?

Well, OK, you're right, that would be cruel. So, let's do it with children instead. We'll give some of them little devices that continually zap their brains with stimuli they can't really understand, but respond to maximally. And the control group will not be subjected to this.

They (they?) actually did this with rats. There are certain parts of a rat's brain that process the stimuli from their whiskers. So, they took a bunch of baby rats, and shaved off their whiskers on one side. And the parts of the brain that would have processed the sensory impressions from those whiskers never developed.

The parts of a rat's brain that process the stimuli from his left whiskers are on the right side. The nerves criss-cross. This is also true of optical processing, in rats, and also in humans. The right side of your optical cortex processes the sensory input from your left eye. Why? Well. Why not?

Presumably, if evolution had been given the option, of two sets of mammals, one with crossed neural pathways, and the other with uncrossed neural pathways, evolution would have chosen the latter. Because their reaction time would be slightly faster.

But that didn't happen. Evolution got the full mammal package, crossed neural pathways and all, take it or leave it. Best I can do. And evolution said, "Cool, whatever. Works for me."

Gosh, I think 170 citizens being wrongfully and inconveniently detained for a few hours, if true, is a small price to pay to save tens of thousands of American citizens from falling victim to the murderous, rapist, drug-trafficking, human-trafficking, thieving deeds of illegal aliens. sombr was on Graham Norton last night. (20-yo NYC LaGuardia Arts HS kid; was on SNL last week) His music is derivative, but it doesn't matter. He was having so much fun on a disco-lighted floor, in bell bottoms. He also was the only one with a poppy - I guess the BBC draws a bright line on a certain day, rather than letting some guests wear it and some not? Although the poppies were embroidered into his sequined jacket, so maybe not deliberate/premeditated.

He also invented a mike stand with a big sandbag at the base, so it can get knocked down and pop back up like a kid's clown-punch thing. He calls it The Giant Ball Sack. CC, JSM

One of the females in the 'Disobey' video, Maggie Goodlander, is the wife of former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, top aide in the White House for Biden's entire 4 years, and the same before that as VP under Obama. He's also been a creature feature in Hillary's UN staff, serving as a high aide. And Goodlander presided as a counsel over the Trump impeachment.

So in case you're wondering about this coordinated, so-called 'attack of conscience', don't worry, they don't have any. Their insinuating call for military members to disobey direct orders, which is what it is, is a veiled warning that they fully expect to get back into power soon, and when they do, they will be checking their lists and taking action on those that fail to adequately demonstrate their loyalties, starting with those that are displaying loyalty to the present administration now.

So there should be no doubt that their resolve is there, as is their tactical willingness. Their coy avoidance of supporting facts when confronted, and their smarty-pants dancing around the dangers of seditious conduct, is once again a tactic to goad the disgusted into action, and thus trouble.

A lot of money and effort was poured into that video. If you thought the Deep State didn't exist before seeing it, you should consider re-thinking how often you've seen similar ones, if ever.

Just have to comment bout the multiple felon in Chicago who was let out of jail multiple times by sicko prosecutors and judges who set a poor 26 year old girl on fire on the blue line subway at Clark and Lake. Can you imagine the pain that that person experienced? I probably have sat in the seat she was burned in. But it will change nothing. You get the feeling that the city is out to kill you, even as it raises your taxes.

Nvidia shares reacted very poorly to record earnings and bullish news this week. Jumped pre-report; then tacked on an extra 12 points after-hours; but it only lasted a half-hour of real trading Thursday before sellers took the stock down for a reversal into the red.

NVDA's happy days as a stock may be over. Chart, trendlines, the moving finger writes. And the whole tech complex keeps sagging, with SAP, MSFT and ORCL down substantially already.

There isn't any room for error up at the extraordinary overvaluations that the market cranked up. Coming down the mountain can, and usually does, happen faster than the long climb up. So many other sectors and other markets are acting the same way. Stormy days in Fedville ahead? DJX will be trouble for DJT.
