Why do you want this? The murder is sad, but Kirk was a social media star not a war hero. How about people mourn without fanfare, with humility and decency? He took any and all questions and would sit for hours and hours on end. He was changing hearts and mind by engaging in courteous debate. Exactly the sort of guy you want out there advancing your ideas and policies. His arguments were very effective and you could watch how his questioners changed their minds.
And so yes, the Democrats murdered him.

As it happens, I was at the local gun shop getting 500 2.23 when the owner said "Holy shit, they shot Charlie Kirk."
A bad development. I saw a fair bit of what Kirk posted on Youtube. I agreed with Kirk about 80/20 or maybe 90/10. He was an extremely effective conservative activist.
Its a great loss to the conservative cause in the US.

I've been thinking on this for a bit and here's my conclusion:
People on the left seem to be more immersed in politics and connected with others who share their belief of its importance than people on the right are. Many of those on the right have other things to focus their attention on- family and faith, for example- things which much of the left abhors.
The right doesn't live for the struggle the way the left does and would prefer to just be left alone to live their lives. Of course, the left won't allow that.
Not every place in the country is like a big city Democrat war zone. Depending on where you live, if these evil acts (such as the recent murders in the news) aren't thrust in your face on a regular basis, it's easy to become complacent and end up underestimating the seriousness they represent.

The left has spent a lot of time and effort creating tech systems to determine who is powerful, who has reach, who is influential so that they can kill the fewest number of people and have the maximum results because they know Americans will tolerate the murders of a few people. Just not a lot of people.
That's why all these algorithms were created.
The incident that finally kicked off the Spanish Civil War, the assassination of José Calvo Sotelo, was more politically loaded than this, which I'm assuming was the act of a "lone wolf". But who knows what investigations will turn up.
Calvo Sotelo was a leader of the Monarchists, which at the time was a very prim and proper center-right party. The US current equivalent would be Senators John Thune or Tom Cotton or Tim Scott perhaps.
The killers of Calvo Sotelo were police (Guardias de Asalto, Assault Guards, a sort of SWAT type urban police organization), with organizational and personal ties to the PSOE (Socialist party). So they were seen as political activists operating under party sanction.
So that murder was seen as open party warfare, of the established parties killing each other, unable to tolerate even the "loyal opposition". To add, this was in the context of a disputed parliamentary election, with charges of fraud flying.

I've been thinking on this for a bit and here's my conclusion:
People on the left seem to be more immersed in politics and connected with others who share their belief of its importance than people on the right are. Many of those on the right have other things to focus their attention on- family and faith, for example- things which much of the left abhors.
It isn’t about left or right.
It is about whether you believe that each person is responsible for providing for themselves and the people around them OR if you believe that the government is responsible for taking care of everyone.
If you believe the government is the source of prosperity and the right people must ensure wealth is distributed “fairly” then you necessarily support violence to support your goals.
This is what they are at a fundamental level.

My primary observation from reading social media: Democrats are consistently condemning political violence and urging calm, while MAGA supporters are intensifying their rhetoric and openly expressing a desire for retribution against broad groups they identify as enemies.
The best outcome of this is they find the shooter and the shooter turns out to be trans. This could then be used for political impetus to finally start treating transgenderism as a mental illness again instead of trying to mainstream it, as well as bringing back involuntary commitment mental institutions, which some people, including some but not all trans folks, need to protect themselves and other people from them.

Honestly, he wasn't an important public official, he had no political position or power. He was a positive, bright, passionate and friendly guy who just wanted to dialogue with people and educate them and maybe get them to think differently.

I texted my son just now, a big fan of Charlie Kirk, and asked what he was thinking.
He replied simply: "I think Charlie would want us to pray for peace."
This kid is a hothead who was ready to go to DC on Jan. 6, and almost certainly would have been one of those arrested for invading the Capitol, before we talked him out of it. He started following Kirk around the same time, and I'm not sure that he would have shown such maturity or equanimity today without that influence. Props to both of them.
That said, we're both quite ready for war, if that's what the Left chooses.
Illegal migration, surgical alteration of children, lax enforcement of public safety laws, are so important to the left that they are willing to kill people over it?
