Orwell appears often but week in and week out Fahrenheit 451 is somewhere on the list. Yet I don’t hear or read anyone talking about it. I’m assuming it’s mostly lefties buying it. But I never hear it referred to. People often mention Orwell but never Bradbury. It’s a puzzle.

Tonight, the Red Sox beat the Yankees in the most crushingly transplendent fashion. Leading the Yanks 3-1, the Sox closer, best in the game this season, loaded the bases with nobody out in the Yankee bottom of the ninth. Only to dispatch the next 3 batters in humiliating succession via strike-outs, to finally win the game and send the crest fallen Yankee fandome home.
My brother in Tampa says the Sox closer did this on purpose. To make the defeat, in front of a packed Yankee stadium, even more haunting. I think he might be right.
The saga continues tomorrow, with the Sox 1 game up in the best of 3.

American Airlines flight cancels takeoff after another plane crosses active runway
An American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston was forced to cancel its takeoff roll on Sunday, Sept. 28 when another aircraft entered the departure runway.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a plane operated by AeroLogic crossed the runway at Los Angeles International Airport without proper clearance at around 10:35 p.m. local time on Sept. 28, and air traffic control at the airport instructed the American Airlines crew to cancel their takeoff.
Data from FlightAware shows that AeroLogic flight 619 had just arrived in Los Angeles from Shanghai.
American Airlines confirmed the incident in a statement, and said there were no injuries to the 94 passengers or seven crewmembers onboard as a result of the canceled takeoff. The flight departed later that evening using the same aircraft.

Lute is just a 12 string guitar with perhaps a few extra bass strings, except the G string is tuned down to F# in regular lute tuning. A guitarist has to decide if he's going to do that or not, and then do it on both instruments if he's going to stay sane.
Lute tuning is also the tuning of viola da gambas so you can play those too, better than cellists can because you know the chords.
The F# tuning gives you fewer strummed chords but handier selective string chords.
