Says Michael Barbaro, on today's episode of the NYT "Daily" podcast, "The Assassination of Charlie Kirk."
He's interviewing fellow NYT reporter Robert Draper, who'd written a profile of Kirk that was published last February, "How Charlie Kirk Became the Youth Whisperer of the American Right/Collecting donors, voters, TikTok viewers and high-powered friends on his way into Trump’s inner circle."
In today's podcast, Draper says: "... Kirk was sort of... an early avatar of the anti-wokeness that became so popular amongst conservatives later.... Certain college campuses where professors were denouncing Trump but also denouncing particular conservative schools of thought were saying that certain people should not be allowed to speak on that campus. And these kinds of things, I think rubbed some students — not all but certainly some — the wrong way. It seemed discordant with the notion of coming to campus and being able to associate with whomever you want and say whatever you want. Trump and particularly Kirk begin to play to those sentiments.... ... Kirk's argument is that it is the left that is suppressing dissent. They were, as you say, really the owners of the culture and thus the oppressors of any kind of countercultural notion."
Making the right feel counterculture — that's seems like quite an accomplishment, but the left made it possible by digging in so pervasively.
Anyway... I was also interested in the part about Rush Limbaugh. Draper, who interviewed Kirk 4 times for that profile, says that when Kirk was in high school, it was "the Obama era, and all of his classmates were big fans of Obama's.... And Kirk could see why they were, he could see why Obama was cool, why Obama had appeal, and why correspondingly the Republican party had its work cut out for him because they were seen as somewhat fossilized." At the time, "he loved Rush Limbaugh, and he would, during lunch hours, go sequester himself and listen to Limbaugh by himself. And I think he not only became enraptured by Limbaugh's arguments, but by the sort of cult of celebrity that Limbaugh had established as... this outrageous voice who would lampoon the left at every turn. This, to Kirk, seemed cool. If there was just some way to convince younger people of it...."

I have written here before that the most counterculture thing is a 15 year old boy in a blue city public school reading the Bible in cafeteria while having lunch.
He was obviously successful, and that's why the left murdered him.
Kirk was right about College Campuses. Radical Left hothouses.
When I was active duty Army, an impressive young officer I knew would go out to his truck at lunch and read the Bible. He was a fine young man.
The NYT misses again. Looking for what was where it used to be.
Kirk was the best of us. He believed in discourse and rhetoric. He believed the best way to build a social contract was through debate and engagement and democratic processes.
All the leftists are doing right now is convincing people that they are not capable of debate, engagement or adhering to democratic principles.
Blue Sky is an absolute cesspool right now. TikTok is no better.
These people can’t be bothered to even pretend to support freedom.
His was an effective voice; that's why he was murdered. His absence will be a void that won't be filled. There won't be others to take his place - they just don't come along very often. The Left has accomplished a great deal with this killing, and it will be unchallenged. There won't be any great uprising or revolt against the left, and those who want to settle things by killing will just go on doing so. We live in a society where Antifa and their like can do any damned thing they please; don't you dare fight back, even with words. The reaction says it all: he got what he deserved, he had it coming. Indeed, that is the ethos of the political Left now.
Yes that message resonates because it comports with reality better than most messages college students hear. The growing realization that many "experts" and "professors" are full of shit should be encouraged in every new class that enters a college.
Guess who doesn't trust anyone over thirty now?

The rate of mental illness on the left is 2x the rate on the right. Furthermore, many on the left deny that mental illness exists, or they gaslight the innocent into developing mental illnesses. Don't blame the young "transgender" people for receiving quack diagnoses and harmful treatments that actually reveal a slew of bad doctors, bad parents, and bad teachers engaging in Munchausen's by Proxy.
Left-wing madness cannot end and will not end until there's a firm internal split and where coherent rules are enforced.
See Jonathan Haidt's "The Anxious Generation."
The WSJ is confirming what most of us knew from the start, the shooter left pro-trans and anti-fascist writing behind, on his ammo, and used a weapon that is not the dreaded and much mythologized AR platform.
We knew it would be a hate-crazed lefty and it is.
That the signs point to Trantifa is [chef's kiss] perfect, is it not?
Conservative philosophy is pro-Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness under a Constitution that mitigates democratic/dictatorial progress.
To the delicate left - It's just so wrong to ever criticize... them.
It's just beyond the pale to have a negative thought or opinion about... them. You must be silent. You must obey.
To this author - Rush was "this outrageous voice who would lampoon the left."
eh - Rush had good arguments and was a lone voice in a sea of ABC, CBS, CNN, NYT, WaPo, LA TIMES single-track of pro-democrat party spin.
I used to listen to Rush - and he was pretty tame overall.
Listen to Jesse Kelly - he doesn't mince words. The left are communists and demons. I agree.
Back to Rush. - Rush used to often say - (paraphrase) "I'm just saying out loud what people already think."
And now that you have killed the best of us guess what is left.
Really what this shows is that in order to apply morals and good values to your relationship with those you disagree with there has to be a mutual understanding between all parties involved what those principles and values are.
The left does not respect our freedom and our rights to freely associate and express our opinions.
We will not have a free country that uses reasoned discourse to solve complex social issues until the progressive left is gone.
Now more of us, and more importantly more young men, will also speak their minds knowing it what "most people think." Courage is contagious.
The left could use "filled a much-needed gap" to at least show some humor.
We don't realize how good we have it, historically speaking. This means we're closer to a better society than we feel, but also that things could deteriorate more than we might expect.
"And it seems they were saying that the left at one point on college campuses was the counterculture, but around this time, it's pretty clear that it's just the culture in many of these campuses. And it feels like what's innovative about Kirk's pitches is that at this moment, conservatism can become the counterculture."

The shooter etched pro-transgender and anti-fascist messages into the bullet casings.
And THIS is how CNN frames it... "Scrawled with cultural phrases."
The Left is evil. Keep spinning for evil, NYTs. Maybe you can get another conservative killed.
When I was active duty Army, an impressive young officer I knew would go out to his truck at lunch and read the Bible. He was a fine young man.
One of my professors was a major in the Air Force Reserve who sometimes showed up in uniform when there was something happening with ROTC. He was among the most genuinely devout and decent men I ever knew. He had a Bible in his desk that he would read while we were taking tests or doing experiments. If all Christians were like him, the whole world would be Christian.

I do find it interesting that they are allowing people to directly generate html code with text and they don’t have a closing script and they allow the comments to blend as a continuous block.

"I do find it interesting that they are allowing people to directly generate html code with text and they don’t have a closing script and they allow the comments to blend as a continuous block."
That is exactly what I am complaining about. That is an easy fix. I seem to recall that in the past if you didn't put a closing tag on a comment where you had an opening tag it would not let you post the comment. The current situation is ripe for an sql injection attack.

To speak, one must breathe. For a society to advance and prosper, the right to speak freely is the same as the right to breathe - the evidence of this for societies over the coast of time is indisputable, now.
Charlie Kirk was robbed of the latter in objection to the former. If you don't freely honor the right of free speech to others, then you forgo your right to breathe. That is how this malignant intolerance must be fought.
A friend today suggested that Kirk may have been a potential 2028 candidate for president.
I can guarantee people are closing their tags. Sometimes, somehow, the closing tags aren't being read.
Sorry. Looks like my bad on those fucking italics.
A friend today suggested that Kirk may have been a potential 2028 candidate for president.
He would have just turned 35, and the Republican bench is deep, so probably not. But he was certainly on everyone's radar for sometime in the next 30 years, and would have been a formidable candidate for any office.
The fix for italics or other HTML derangements:
Open a new comment with one < I > tag, close it with two consecutive < / I > tags.
Since it's become a topic, my experience is that the comment code still looks for an ending tag but it accepts anything with a / without verifying it is a properly formatted closing tag, and it's easy to miss that you entered i/ or b/.
"I can guarantee people are closing their tags. Sometimes, somehow, the closing tags aren't being read."
That should also be an easy fix.
here is some pseudo code for blogger programmers
declare a dictionary pairing keys as html beginning tags and values as ending html tags
when the user hits post scan the comment for the keys in the dictionary
if found scan for the corresponding value
if corresponding ending tag not found then do not allow the post
provide user an error message indicating that the required value was not found
Your friend is mistaken. Charlie was only 31 years old, not eligible for 5 more years
Twenty years ago I had a blog here called "Counter Counterculture." Alas, the world wasn't ready for it.
That was the time multibillion-dollar corporations like Viacom could run networks like MTV that posed as edgy counterculture. No more.
Progressives really thought they had the power to control the Culture and Counterculture at the same time. And for a while, they could.
This thing with the italics looks like the work of professionals. It happens too often to be just accidental: CIA, Mossad, Hamas, Putin, Iran, Xi-na?
"Countercultures" are of two sorts. Drop-outs and activists. There are people who want to be left alone and people who want to change things. That was true sixty years ago and it's true today.
From what I gather, Kirk was inspiring the first type - the kid who just wanted to read his bible, hold down a responsible job, and raise a family - to become more activist and political. That frightened and angered people on the other side.
Kirk also became part of the conservative movement. Movements and countercultures aren't really friends. The movements are on their way to becoming the new Establishments, and when you're that, you aren't a counterculture anymore.
'An older model imported Mauser in 30.06 caliber'
This is an old-fashioned rifle, with a full wooden stock that is continuous through the forestock, providing a bed for the barrel. It is not a take-down weapon like an AR-style or similar, that can be disassembled and stowed in a backpack to infiltrate unobtrusively.
The assassin jumped from the roof to make his escape and dumped the rifle in the woods, wrapped in a towel. Speculation: Rifle was hidden in place, prior to the event. Methodical advance planning; tends to indicate professional job.
Suddenly I suspect that blogger is using AI and some contractor in Vietnam (India is to expensive now) to maintain its code base.
Scott Adams went nuclear in his livestream this morning. He called the Democratic Party a criminal organization. He said he’s been turning down speaking engagements for fear of assassination over his support for Trump. And, he pledged to use all his powers (persuasion and hypnosis) to dismantle the party. He didn’t go the next step, as I have, of naming how the Democratic Party is a criminal organization. The party is allied with the cartels.
CBS News and CNN are the first two institutions to volunteer to be purged.
"Rifle was hidden in place, prior to the event. Methodical advance planning;"
Agree on the methodical advanced planning, but still doubt it was a professional. If so, why leave the rifle? I guess you could speculate that it was to throw investigators off the scent or implicate an innocent party. But a professional would have access to something far superior to a Mauser 30-06. And they say it was an imported Mauser. How old is this rifle. Could granddad have liberated it in WWII and brought it home?
Mauser also made sporting rifles, and these would have used the sporting style stocks. In .30-06 this would probably have been a sporting model. The only confusion is that it might possibly have been military-style made for some Latin American country, some of which used .30-06. But that seems unlikely.

Re. italics, it's pretty clear that Google is doing the absolute minimum needed to keep Blogger running. I'd wager that the team supporting it is shockingly small even by startup standards, never mind for a company the size of Google. On the bright side, Blogger probably is (almost) too big to kill, even for Google, but on the negative side, I don't think we'll ever see even basic improvements, like a graphical formatting tool that would let commenters select text and apply italics, bold, strikethrough, etc. formats to it. A pity.
It could have been made anytime in the last hundred years and passed through a dozen owners. And been purchased or traded for or stolen without a trace.
He didn't leave the rifle - it was found in the woods bordering the campus, which open into neighborhoods where he made his escape. There was a chance it wouldn't be discovered quickly. He couldn't openly carry a full sized rifle in a residential neighborhood without attracting attention, especially on recording security cameras, however fuzzy.

Front end isn’t my thing. I have built a weblog with a database storage in a couple different frameworks but I used built in libraries.
Building a website that generates html code through templates seems to be a solved problem. My boxes had buttons for setting up bold and italics or even code blocks. Blogger having this problem is mystifying.

btw - with the mass rage and death threats in in an open visible forum (X, Tiktok etc) - can we get the FBI to pay closer attention to this stuff?

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.
Professional or not, this guy knew what he was doing, got it done, and got away. Suggests to me he may not be alone. So if you’re going to speak your mind freely in America, better do it in an enclosed venue with armed security at the doors.
“I’m guessing that anything found that easily was a plant”
I expect that the FBI may know already, one way or another. They have the rifle, the used cartridges, and no doubt the expended, fatal, bullet. They were very likely in Quantico last night, with their top bullet people called in. That’s what happens when POTUS is breathing down the Director’s neck.
I also expect that the ATF is already hard at work, trying to trace the gun. It may be impossible, or just take awhile. We shall see.
Some police type should have been on the highest point with a .338 win mag.
Slow learners cost lives.
Hayden: "That’s what happens when POTUS is breathing down the Director’s neck."
The Director - Kash Patel - doesn't need anyone breathing down his neck to want to find this guy. If anything, he probably needs Trump to grab him by the collar to keep him from summarily executing the perp. Kirk (z''l) was a personal friend of so many Admin people, and a professional associate of the rest.
Remember what I said about conspiracies versus like-minded people acting independently but in agreement? The latter is what's going to happen in the reaction to yesterday's killing.

You know, when evidence looks almost too on-the-nose, it raises questions. Ammunition engraved with slogans tied to hot-button identities (trans, antifa) seems designed to immediately direct suspicion in a political direction.
If I were investigating this I would wonder if someone deliberately staged or marked the ammo to frame a political group and inflame division.
Could the shooter might have actually done it as part of their ideology, though engraving ammo is unusual and suggests premeditated symbolism over practicality?
Knowing that both left and right exploit narratives, someone could have designed this to provoke exactly the sort of reaction we’re now seeing.
It doesn’t make sense to conclude that Democrats—or even mainstream activists—to orchestrate something like this. The political downside is enormous, while the upside is nonexistent. If anything, this kind of “engraved ammo” leans more toward narrative engineering than organic radicalism.

He had a point. Once upon a time, the counterculture were the outsiders promoting gay rights, free love, etc., and The Squares would say "that's not important". Nowadays the counterculture is the conservative movement being told by Those Who Know Best that they MUST care about all these things. Youth rebellion does not change much, but what they rebel against does. On Family Ties Alex Keaton (the young Republican) was the one rebelling against parental authority from his aging-McGovernite parents.

Chris Murphy (D) is calling for 'WAR...by any means necessary..' Well he was until it became inconvenient after your party killed Charlie Kirk.
Mr T @ 3:41 PP
Do I believe this shooting was orchestrated by Democrats or Republicans? No. Do I think Trump’s ear hit was staged? Also no.
But here’s what doesn’t add up for me: there’s no clear political gain for Democrats in Kirk’s assassination, yet there’s an obvious narrative advantage for Republicans. It pulls oxygen away from Epstein, inflation, and jobs, it rallies their base around fear, and it echoes how the failed Trump assassination attempt boosted him politically.
I’m not suggesting some master plot by the Trump camp. I’m simply pointing out that if someone wanted to spin a conspiracy, blaming Republicans would actually make more sense than blaming Democrats. That’s just basic political calculus.
Just so we are clear. I think Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. I believe I'm entitled to hold that opinion in a free country. I had heard the name Charlie Kirk but literally knew nothing about him. Yet, I am somehow responsible for his murder? And I deserve to be killed?
Just want to know how nutty you guys really are.
It's some impressive imagination to consider someone on the right killing one of the most effective voices on the Right as false flag.
@jim5301: stop listening to the voices in your head. There are zero death threats anywhere toward lefties.
@Ronald J Ward:
Why would you choose the day after Charlie Kirk was murdered to spin conspiracy theories?
These people can’t be bothered to even pretend to support freedom.
Their idea of freedom is being the ones holding the clipboards while the rest of us are kneeling besides the muddy trench, waiting for the bullet.
"Scott Adams went nuclear in his livestream this morning. He called the Democratic Party a criminal organization."
IF so, it's because, as I have pointed out before, the Dems over time have been evermore modeling the Republican party, if a "nicer" version, with still a few real progressives hanging in. (The Republican Party has been racing to the far right/fascist fringe over the same time.)
The Dems are not a criminal organization by definition yet, but the more they emulate the Republicans, they will get there. Then we'll have true Uniparty, with a Rabid Wing and a Mediocre Wing.
"Just so we are clear. I think Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. I believe I'm entitled to hold that opinion in a free country. I had heard the name Charlie Kirk but literally knew nothing about him. Yet, I am somehow responsible for his murder? And I deserve to be killed?
"Just want to know how nutty you guys really are. "
Yep!
We are hearing how the violent and hateful rhetoric from the left has caused this murder to happen, but are you folks hearing yourselves? It’s actually shocking. Is rhetoric coming from the right now demonizing half of the country any different than what you say the left did? Surely you aren’t trying to whip up violence against the left now in retaliation?
I understand Charlie Kirk was much beloved by the right. I understand you’re grieving, I pray you find comfort.
"...Just so we are clear. I think Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. I believe I'm entitled to hold that opinion in a free country. ...."
Charlie Kirk would ask you: "How, exactly, do you think Trump is an existential threat to our democracy?" He would expect you to be specific, with verifiable attribution, because his habit was to argue in good faith.
And then he would remind you that nobody is going around, shooting outspoken Democrats, and there is not a pervasive theme of rhetoric calling for violence, or labeling the spoken word as 'violence', and following it up with intimidating assaults in public, that are often left unprosecuted. The vast majority of those phenomena are exhibits of the progressive left.
And before you bring up January 6th, let me remind you of the nationwide orchestrated violence associated with St. George, the holy lifetime felon whose unfortunate death was celebrated with a season of looting and destruction that was widely overlooked by our elected political and law enforcement leadership.
Just want to know how nutty you guys really are.
It takes some kinda balls - the day after one of yours killed a conservative - to run out and play the victim today.
January 6th, where the only victims were too unarmed women,
..."but are you folks hearing yourselves?"
I would hold up a mirror to that one. What are your thoughts about the @TMZ broadcast team heard actively cheering the at the moment of the death announcement yesterday, caught on tape? Cheering as if their team had scored a goal? Have you seen any of the screen-captured posting on various social media sites like BlueSky or Instagram, gloating over the assassination and proposing additional targets by name? 'Do them next !' How do you feel about that kind of behavior, @Inga?
Which one is worse, the celebration of assassination and calling for more, or rage over the killing of an unarmed innocent, with calls for justice and retribution?

You are part of a terrorist organization and should be treated as such.
"Is rhetoric coming from the right now demonizing half of the country any different than what you say the left did?" Is rhetoric different from murder? Yes, yes it is. And I don't see anyone on the right calling for the murder of those on the left.
As someone (I forget who) pointed out on Twitter, when someone on the right is brutally murdered, you don't see thousands of people boarding up their businesses to prepare for riots, because they know there won't be any. Ponder that, and don't say another word until you've pondered your way to an intelligent conclusion.
“What are your thoughts about the @TMZ broadcast team heard actively cheering the at the moment of the death announcement yesterday, caught on tape?”
Despicable and shameful. But what do they have to do with me, my loved ones, my friends, acquaintances who are Democrats?
I suspect many of you here don’t want to be associated with the extreme rhetoric of violence and even war being broadcast now by the right.
Justice and retribution against every Democrat in America because of an action by a killer and extremist? I’m assuming the killer wasn’t a rightist, but we actually don’t know anything about him yet.
please you defend terrorists like Hamas, who butcher civilians in their own homes, who hide missile launchers in schoolyards,
don't you dare lecture us,
"But what do they have to do with me, my loved ones, my friends, acquaintances who are Democrats?"
@TMZ is a tabloid broadcaster, and their purview is within progressive leftist interests, sepcifically the entertainment world. I assume you don't argue this. Their affiliation and their product broadcasts a point of view that is not dissimilar to yours, it's a thought leader and in that community. So, you condemn their despicable behavior when it's pointed out, but don't bother to acknowledge it, or condemn any of the despicable behavior of other individuals spewing similar sentiments. But you're quick to point out the angry people that are reacting to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
I notice you didn't answer my question about which is worse.
“please you defend terrorists like Hamas,”
Are you speaking to me? If so, you are lying. As I said I have family in Israel and I’ve never defended Hamas, ever.
they are a trash outfit, typical of what passes for popular culture, as such Charlie was a competitor because he presented a more noble view,
“Which one is worse, the celebration of assassination and calling for more, or rage over the killing of an unarmed innocent, with calls for justice and retribution?”
Both are both are calling for violence, both should be rejected.
they have the soul of komarovsky, the heartless commissar of dr zhivago

“What are your thoughts about the @TMZ broadcast team heard actively cheering the at the moment of the death announcement yesterday, caught on tape?”
Despicable and shameful. But what do they have to do with me, my loved ones, my friends, acquaintances who are Democrats?
I suspect many of you here don’t want to be associated with the extreme rhetoric of violence and even war being broadcast now by the right.
Justice and retribution against every Democrat in America because of an action by a killer and extremist? I’m assuming the killer wasn’t a rightist, but we actually don’t know anything about him yet.
You all support the same people and work towards the same goals.
The only difference between you and them is some dishonesty.
You are a terrorist supporter in a terrorist organization. You have always supported censorship and you clearly want us to be shut up.
TMZ is trash media. I don’t watch it, read it or associate myself with it. I call upon you and the decent Americans on the right not to get sucked into the whirlwind of violence and retribution against people you assume have extremist leftists views. Or else you risk being no better than the ones are enraged by now.
"Both are both are calling for violence, both should be rejected. "
And thus, you are showcasing your moral ambivalence, pretending that it's all just a great big subjective thingie.
'those words you are using' there are the button men, a dime a dozen, but behind them are the propagandists, the money men,
which AID cuts put a crimp in,

You vote for the same people and you want the same things.
Law and Order, will likely make the shooter the victim somehow, or the FBI show,
If you have a hard time understanding the TMZ accusations being made here, just imagine that instead of TMZ it was FOX laughing about AOC being murdered, and what you would be saying here..
Of course, we all know that would never happen at FOX, because decent people would never do that, and they are not Leftists.

@Ronald J Ward:
Why would you choose the day after Charlie Kirk was murdered to spin conspiracy theories?
9/11/25, 4:29 PM
To be as clear, as I know how, I’m not spinning a conspiracy theory. I’m pointing out that the rush to blame Democrats doesn’t make political sense. If anything, the political oxygen flows the other way — which is exactly why I think it’s worth pausing before jumping to conclusions.
Asking why a narrative doesn’t add up isn’t “spinning conspiracy theories” — it’s called critical thinking.
Ronald J. Ward: "there’s no clear political gain for Democrats in Kirk’s assassination". Really? I've read that the percentage of college-aged males voting Republican shifted 44% towards the Republicans in the last few years (from -28% to +16%), and that most people think Charlie Kirk's appearances on college campuses were one of the main causes. Keeping that 44% from turning into 54% or 64% or 74% by 2028 by killing the man responsible looks like a "clear political gain" to me. And that seems so obviously true as to make anyone who denies it look like a liar or a moron.
Dr. Weevil, I don’t deny Kirk had influence, especially with young men — he clearly struck a chord. But I think we part ways on the idea that Democrats would see political gain in his murder. History suggests the opposite: assassinations often amplify a figure’s impact, turning them into a martyr with a bigger platform than they ever had in life. If Democrats were looking to blunt Kirk’s message, this would be the worst possible way to do it.
And to your point about comparisons, it’s worth noting that figures like MLK were also attacked as “divisive” agitators in their own time, though history judged differently because his message was rooted in expanding the promise of democracy. Kirk’s style, by contrast, often relied on sowing grievance and mistrust of whole groups. That’s not a value judgment on whether you liked or disliked him, but it does speak to why I think the “clear political gain” argument doesn’t add up.
Whatever, moron. The fact is that he was an extremely effective communicator and they shut him up, permanently.
So now, there are various updates. The suspected shooter was captured on a home surveillance camera, limping along a residential street sidewalk near campus, with his right leg moving stiffly. The suspicion is that the rifle was strapped to his leg, inside his pants and barrel down, limiting his gait accordingly. Later, he was captured on film departing the scene, walking normally, briskly.
The T-shirt he's wearing is one for 'disabled veterans', an American flag and eagle, perhaps to trick the casual observer into connecting it with his leg, then interpreting it as an artificial limb.
Press conferences have been hastily called this evening, and then deferred, on the pretext of a breaking case. I haven't seen any further information though.
retribution against people you assume have extremist leftists views.
We don't have to assume they have 'extremist' leftist views. They're telling us. Gleefully. With a megaphone.
And maybe their views are extreme, but when a majority of the center left (as evidenced by the Rutgers poll back in April) support assassination of their political opponents, it's pretty safe to say that's where your party is right now.
Extremist. Elimination rhetoric. And now outright killing.
Drawing comparisons to the right is bullshit. You should know it, but you're too eager to defend Team Left from their actions.
You're not fooling anybody.
Entertaining abortive ideation is a first-order forcing of cat-ass-trophic anthropogenic climate change. Sequester the thought. Take no affirmative action. Be wary of anyone exercising liberal license to indulge Diversity dogma as a fetus... feature of their religion for causes other than self-defense.
Redistributive and retributive hope and change are left-wing artifacts and states of mind.
Of course the usual suspects cry crocodile tears and denounce violence. They'd never resort to THAT sort of thing. They're hoping someone else will.
