It is incredible how little news there must be in today's Newsweek judging by the covers.

Macho priest guys made me think of Spencer Tracy. I grew up hearing that Spencer Tracy never married Kate Hepburn because he was a Catholic and didn't believe in divorce. Now I find out that he wasn't that much of a Catholic, and his wife, and mother, and children were all Protestants, so I suspect there was no divorce because Kate was such a handful that Spencer didn't want to throw in with her and have no escape hatch. It would be like waking up every morning next to RFK Jr.

On The Five last night, Jesse Watters said his sources are telling him Bolton's crime is a lot worse than mishandling classie. From his wink-wink-nudge-nudge and Trump's calling Bolton a "lowlife," the implication seems to be some kind of child sexual exploitation material. Watters said that when the affidavit and warrant are unsealed, you'll see how bad it really is.

Something I've mentioned before- In the UK, the English, Irish, Scotch, and Welsh, can all tell whether someone is one of them- or someone different, at a glance. We here in the USA cannot do that because most of us, like me, are a blend of all of them and then some.
I was reading today that in the the anti-immigrant protests in the UK- which to jog the memory means United Kingdom, the protesters are flying their national flags. Their national flags, not the flags of the UK. So the flags of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Though some in Northern Ireland may very be displaying the Irish flag...
The point being made in the article or post I was reading was- this does not bode well for the future of the United Kingdom remaining united. Their political subdivision all have a long history of separate identity. And war with each other, though they seemed to have smoothed that out in the last century.
Seems the same trouble is brewing in the EEC. The members all have their own national identity, and it isn't European. And some of the member countries are still coalitions of former countries with national identities...
In the USA we have, basically, one national identity. Indian tribes with their quasi-nation status? Nobody really gives a hoot. As far as I can tell, having travelled through many states, only Texans refer to themselves as Texans at times rather then Americans. No one here in New York when talking to someone from another country calls themselves New Yorkers, we're Americans. Texans, OTOH...
We're not having the same anti-immigrant protests here in the USA that Europe is having. Why? Because Trump is actually deporting troublemaking immigrants, which by definition, includes every one of them here unlawfully. If the globalist- Harris- had been elected, we'd be seeing the same protests here. Anyone doubt that?

Maybe not. We'd have the same sentiments, true. But a lot of things differ us from Europe/UK:
- Much larger distances separate working class citizens from the invaders. Europe consists of smaller countries with more urbanized terrain - and better public transit. Logistically easier to have a demo.
- Criminal convictions matter more here. The Brits were able to shut down the Southport demos with just a couple of high-profile jailings for just a couple years each. And this in a socialist country where you don't really have to worry about finding a job. Look at how the J6 prosecutions shut down working-class direct action here.
- Which leads me to: Harris would have called out the National Guard, the Marines, even the Space Force. Blue mayors would have reversed de-policing just to lock up citizen demonstrators. Demos would have fizzled out.
- One wildcard: Black vs invader demos? They are the group hurt most by the massive urban invader dumps. And they are justice-proof in blue cities. There were already rumblings in places like Chicago and NYC during Biden. If the problems continued under Harris, would urban blacks, given their 2020 experience, have taken to the streets again? Maybe....

You can pretend it's not good because you went into it knowing that it was AI, but I am sorry, it's good. Of course Nashville is famous for getting songwriting down to a science, and can be quite formulaic about it, so there's that.
The sad thing is that the large corporations who own the music made by live musicians in the sixties through the nineties are going back over their libraries and "pitch correcting" them. You know, removing the humanity from the tracks. Maybe there are a couple of Judy Collins songs that could have used it, but I would rather hear the human in the performance. Now everybody has as good a pitch as Barbara Streisand. "We can't have some people elevated above others just because God gave them a gift and not us!" It's like the Handicapper General in Harrison Bergeron, I think, by Kurt Vonnegut. If I got that wrong, you can check it on google.

Where you don’t have to worry about finding a job: ok, I can see several points of disagreement. I probably could have worded it better. If you want meaningful work and a middle class lifestyle, then yes,you need to be worried. Mainly because of the immigrants undercutting your wages and the green policies offshoring British industry.
But thanks to the welfare state and NHS, you can survive. Britain probably has a lower workforce participation rate than us. Lots of people claiming disability benefits for mental illnesses that are easy to fake, especially with an NHS clinician who has a triple-digit caseload. Also, the enlightened justice system means you don’t get much of a social or economic handicap from a criminal record, including in the job search process, if you do want to look for a job.
That’s what I was trying to say: a British righty protester risks a lot less than an American righty protester.

Yes SOVEREIGNTY was a no brainer at the TRAVERS YESTERDAY. 115 BEYER better than his best 112 and no doubt best 3 year running now and will only get stronger and better. Impressive but not as much as ITS OUR TIME(2 year old coat) best race of the meet in 6 1/2 furlong sprint finished in 115.63 with splits of 21.99 and 44.78 and pulled away by 17 3/4 length and the boy only tapped him one time and finished in a hand ride in a MSW race. This one will go on to be a champ and would not be surprised to see the colt in BREEDERS CUP Grade 1 coming in October. Beautiful animal trained by Tom Amoss having a great Saratoga meet.
ITS OUR TIME out of NOT THIS TIME SIRE and SHEA D SUMMER DAM. Will follow this beautiful colt to bigger and better things, never get even close to 6-1 on this future champ. Luis Saez riding well..
