That is a great picture.
Sunrise was at 5:30 this morning. That second picture is 32 minutes later. Sometimes you need to wait out the thick bank of clouds at the bottom of the sky and you can see where eventually the sun will rise over those clouds. It's not really the sunrise, but the light effects work.
Althouse should be inducted into the Canadian Group of Seven. The 6:02 shot would nail it.
It has not escaped notice that when I get up before 5 now, it's sometimes quite dark (depending on cloud cover).

She’s eligible for Social Security but she hasn’t applied yet. Why not? Because Trump has cut the funding to Social Security and has cut the funding to the Social Security website. It keeps crashing and you can’t get on it. So my friend asked had her mother tried going on the website. No because it’s no use because Trump has cut all the funding to the website. So my friend got on the website. It works perfectly. But I don’t know if her mother had still applied. O well.

This story CRIES OUT for someone to help their mother navigate a website that can be confusing. It's trivial for computer-saavy people to apply for and begin receiving Social Security payments using the website.
If your family member is very old, they may need help with it, though.
Or, she may just be a bitch, in which case, get her personal info and have her checks deposited in YOUR bank account. You can use the same website to do this.

Surely Trump, Epstein's "Good Friend," who attended many parties with underage girls, ran a Teen Beauty contest and was known to walk backstage into the costume changing area, is mentioned in the report. We'll never see it.

But he thinks differently. He is not a Republican, Clinton is a favorite of his. He voted for Obama. He is a Trump supporter. But the value in listening to him is that he thinks differently and even though he may not convince you, he makes you look at issues a little bit differently. Give him a couple of weeks and see if there isn’t a value in listening to him. And maybe you’ll lose a little bit of your TDS. It is possible but when you look at this critically you realize that nobody he was connected to had to be "blackmailed" or forced to be helpful to Israel. You see? I didn’t know about that whole connection, but I looked it up and apparently Epstein also arranged meetings between Ehud Barak and Noam Chomsky. I’m personally not that interested in Epstein. I find out topic distraction. I’m just watching to see how it plays out particularly with Pam Bondy.
And somehow, somewhere (in my opinion) the success of Israeli intelligence to infiltrate so completely Iran’s ruling classes and for no Arab nation (with the exception of Syria and Lebanon - both Iran client states) to condemn the attack on Iran - is linked to Epstein’s activities. Brennan was warned not to include the Steele material by “the ICA authors and multiple senior CIA managers—including the two senior leaders of the CIA mission center responsible for Russia” on the grounds that it “did not meet even the most basic tradecraft standards.” Meanwhile, the CIA’s Deputy Director for Analysis (DDA) warned in an email to Brennan on December 29th, 2016 that including the Steele material would jeopardize “the credibility of the entire paper.”
Brennan reportedly replied to the two mission center experts “in writing” on this question, saying, “my bottom line is that I believe that the information warrants inclusion in the report,” meaning the Steele information. If Ratcliffe really has that in writing, that would seem to be a head shot, especially given Brennan’s 2023 testimony about how “the CIA was very much opposed to having any reference or inclusion of the Steele dossier in the Intelligence Community Assessment.”

The theory doesn’t work because Brennan’s 2023 testimony was true even if the former CIA director is using the agency as an institution to camouflage his personal position and actions back in 2016.
That is, the CIA — mainly, Brennan’s top underlings — was indeed adamantly against the dossier’s inclusion in the ICA, to the point that it wasn’t included as part of the document’s core analysis. By contrast, Brennan personally lobbied for inclusion, and the FBI (Comey) was also pushing hard to include it. But in his 2023 testimony cited by Ratcliffe, Brennan spoke about the CIA’s position, not his personal position.

It would be helpful, incredibly helpful, to have Brennan scared into pleading the 5th, instead of brazenly keeping up this dishonest circus. It's a crime to lie to FBI agents investigating you. Lots of people go to prison for that one.
Is there probable cause to investigate Brennan and his perjury? Yes, indeed. McCarthy is wrong to want to cut off this process before any investigation.

Taibbi: The whole story was on every front page and every TV station within four days...The CNN story in one swoop outed classified intelligence, blew its source (all of Washington knew which “former British intelligence operative” CNN meant, which is why Buzzfeed could publish Steele’s dossier within hours) and betrayed the target, Trump. That’s a rare trifecta of incompetence. A coked-up Tourette’s patient would have done a better job guarding information. Are there really people left who believe these people?

McCarthy supported Fitzgerald’s appointment, IIRC. Think of it as akin to Victoria Toensing’s and her husband, Joseph diGenova’s support for the nomination of Obama’s “wingman” Eric Holder as AGOTUS.

DOJ To Open Conspiracy Case
According to John Solomon(?), the DOJ has quietly been building a conspiracy case against the deep state, and will be appointing a special prosecutor to go after it. The time frame is 2016 to 2024, and will include things like the Trump-Russia hoax, the raid on Mar-a-Lago, and the Ukraine impeachment.
Solomon says he "wouldn't be surprised" if the DOJ announces a special prosecutor in the next week or two. By doing that, you can bypass the D.C. courts and possibly bring the prosecution in Florida. Also, the way conspiracy cases work, you can charge a series of events into a larger conspiracy, and go back beyond the window of time that the normal statute of limitations for any single crime occurred.
It sounds a little sketchy to me. Tit-for-tat lawfare, basically. I think the 2016 unindicted co-conspirator (Obama) and the 2024 unindicted co-conspirator (Biden) are two completely different presidents. Brennan was CIA director from 2013-2017.

The DOJ already decided, back in 2019, not to prosecute Comey for leaking.
I can't imagine the case has gotten stronger since then.
I suspect that Solomon is hyping something that's not going to happen. He did that interview with Steve Bannon.
