Despite the fact that we have a trade surplus with Brazil amounting to $410 billion over the past 15 years, Trump is imposing a 50% tariff on the South Americans because former President Jair Bolsonaro is being tried for attempting a coup. Current President Lula da Silva has promised a reciprocal tariff against the U.S. Now there is Trump math that just doesn't work. Coffee at $4 a cup retail would be my guess.
