Trump's press conference at The Hague.

This is a great press conference. I've listened to it but don't have a transcript to quote yet.

ADDED: "Mark Rutte, the NATO Chief, he called you 'daddy' earlier.... Do you regard your NATO allies as kind of like children?"

"It was called obliteration."

Trump seemed tired.

Well, Hague NY, pop 700 or so.

Aggie చెప్పారు...

The Press Corps has become amazingly well-behaved, and Trump is in total command of the session. There will be no follow-up questions, and although some are declaring they have '2 questions', he is allowing one, and that is all he's allowing, and pushback is zero.

RideSpaceMountain చెప్పారు...

NATO's plan to increase defense spending "5%" has many flaws, not the least of which their timetable, but you have to give props where they're due:

Trump has gotten those effeminate little ingrates to start thinking about defense again, and that was a heavy lift. Go DJT.

RCOCEAN II చెప్పారు...

A lot of them seem like foreign journalists, so we don't get the usual MSM-DNC reporter nonsense. I.e. debating Trump, endless repetition of the same gotcha questions, and interupting him.

RCOCEAN II చెప్పారు...

We'll see how much damage there really was, as time goes by.

Achilles చెప్పారు...

Is this the one where he destroyed CNN and Collin’s specifically? At work can’t watch.

RCOCEAN II చెప్పారు...

I don't care about how much they're paying for NATO because there's no reason for us to be in NATO. Its only "enemy" at this point is Russia. And that's only because NATO has decided to be the aggressor and push its membership to the borders of RUssia and to sent aid to Ukraine (not in NATO) to kill Russians.

RideSpaceMountain చెప్పారు...

@RCOCEAN II, the single most important way for US to not worry about Russia anymore is for the EU to actually start getting swole again so that we don't have to have the level of defense commitment on the continent that we've had for the last 85 years...which has cost US so much blood and treasure it would stagger honest Abe.

It's been 85 years. Europeans need to be responsible for their own damn defense, and if re-militarizing causes them to go back to the 'bad old days' again because "they don't know what the fuck they're doing", America won't be there to bail them out a 3rd time.

Enough's enough.

Humperdink చెప్పారు...

Wow, a great news conference. Hegseth tore apart the Commie-Pinko journalist Kelly O’Donnell, as did Trump earlier with US reporters. Trump was respectful to all foreign journalists, excepting cheapskate Spain. It was fun to watch.

Trump in command at all times.

narciso చెప్పారు...

they should pay their fair share, only a few countries like Greece actually do,

“Trump seemed tired.”

Gee, I don’t know why he’d feel tired…. /sarc

Lem Vibe Bandit చెప్పారు...

In victory show magnanimity. Very presidential.

Lem Vibe Bandit చెప్పారు...

I didn’t hear anything about regime change in Iran. That seems now like a tactic designed to get them to a peace agreement.

Schrödinger’s Assessment

Well that settles it. I definitely believe it may have been totally obliterated or possibly not at all.

Aggie చెప్పారు...

Ha "They're sick, there's somethin' wrong with'em" Trump, referring to the Fake News cast of Dick Tracy villains and their spin of the 'low damage' story.

Darkisland చెప్పారు...

Amen, RCOcean.

US out of NATO, and the UN while we are about it.

We pulled Europe's nuts from the fire twice last century. Against overwhelming popular opposition by the American populace. NATO only guarantees we will need to do it again.

Wilson and FDR, in the early days of WW parts 1&2 both ran for president explicitly on the grounds they would keep us out of the war. All the while scheming to get us into it.

Let Europe stand or fall on its own.

Great press conference, BTW.

John Henry

Kakistocracy చెప్పారు...

“The summit rests on what Trump decides,” said one of the officials. “We are all just sat here waiting for him to tell us if he will defend Europe.”

It's absolutely embarrassing that the Europeans have put themselves in this groveling position. And absolutely crucial they do everything possible to get themselves out of it.

RideSpaceMountain చెప్పారు...

Hey Kamala....CALL HIM DADDY!

RideSpaceMountain చెప్పారు...

A whole new set for the "Call Her Daddy" podcast? $250,000
A special endorsement from Oprah? $1,000,000
A Beyonce concert for your voters + endorsement? $11mil

Europeans calling the man who beat you "Daddy"? Priceless

Darkisland చెప్పారు...

6mm BLACK people have been killed in the Congo-Rwanda war.

We heard a lot from the grifters over the past 5-6 years about how Black Lives Matter. Ending this war probably saved not dozens but hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of black lives.

Because President Trump proved that black lives really do matter to him and his government, we should be hearing Hosannas from the BLM folks.

What we get is crickets.

I was glad to see him mention it, even if only in passing. I understood that the peace agreement was actually signed already but it sounded like it was going to be signed in a few days. So not sure actual status.

Rabel చెప్పారు...

I can't help myself, I must continue -

Daddy pulled off the belt, the big leather one, clacked the straps a few times and then finally put it across Achmed's ass (14 licks) while little Golda looked on and learned.

Now the kids are sitting at the table with a napkin on their laps asking Daddy to please pass the peas.

Winning.

Wow! 6 millimeters? That's pretty small....

bagoh20 చెప్పారు...

For the sake of argument, let's assume the mission was a total success, and did truly obliterate the nuclear program beyond recovery. Even if they believed it, would the NYT CNN, MSNBC, CBS, etc. ever say that with Trump as president? Of course not. They are not capable. Their fingers cannot type it. Their voices cannot speak it. There is no chance they would give Trump or America full credit for anything good, anytime, anywhere. If I'm wrong, give me an example where they did. They can however give a negative account without any clear evidence and do it with vigor.

PM చెప్పారు...

Very enjoyable. He is the master of the free-diving parenthetical.

Eva Marie చెప్పారు...

The most endearing part was when he got the question from the Ukrainian reporter, asked about her family. Her husband was he a soldier? Very moving. With the foreign journalists, a real personal interest. He really doesn’t think there are any ordinary people.

Pygmies. (can you say that now?)

Original Mike చెప్పారు...

"What’s up with Spain? They should remove themselves from the Treaty if they don’t want to pay the dues."

Maybe they think there should be a sliding scale. The further from Russia, the less you pay. Poland thinks that (3 cheers for Poland!).

RCOCEAN II చెప్పారు...

"Let Europe stand or fall on its own."

Given their size, wealth, and nuclear weapons, Europe can handle Russia on their own. And they have no one else to worry about.

Darkisland చెప్పారు...

North,

I am an American, I speak American, though I do speak fluent metric as a second language.

6m would be 6,000 in American. 6mm is 6,000,000 in American.

I watched the whole thing. Hard to believe the man is 79 years old. Sharp as a tack, for real.

We are in NATO for 2 reasons.

People just don’t want to say we are occupying Europe to keep them from causing trouble out loud.

Anyone who honestly analyzes the actions of countries around the world would realize Europe and Russia are on the same moral plane.

Britain has more people in jail for criticizing the government than Russia.

Vance has made a few polite overtures to Europe to their face. I don’t think they understood. We need to start being more honest about what the regimes in Europe have become.

They are fascist regimes bent on conquering Russia.

Again.

We need to hear from Waylon Jennings on this:

Everybody knows you've been steppin' on my toes
And I'm gettin' pretty tired of it
Steppin' out of line
And a-messin' with my mind
If you had any sense, you'd quit
'Cause ever since you were a little bitty teeny girl
You said I was the only man in this whole world
Now you better do some thinkin', then you'll find
You got the only daddy that'll walk the line
You got the only daddy that'll walk the line

They have CBS on a TV at my gym. They were doing a story on how people in Texas couldn't afford AC as energy prices have skyrocketed in the last few years (duh) and then made the remark that people are fearful prices will go even higher because Trump is cutting development of "inexpensive" solar and wind.

They are coming to washington to sign it.

President Donald J Trump again, doing more for black people than any president in my lifetime. No wonder black voters are breaking for him.

And where are the ******* celebrity wonks cheering on this cessation of horrible death. They don't give a crap, if it doesn't give them political power, just like all democrats.

Does anybody believe we used to have a President that could barely walk or talk and that he got more votes than this guy?
It's like the Covid years. I think that didn't really happen, and was just a temporary mixing of two different universes (universi), a folding of dimensions between the real universe and a retarded one. (Meaning slower, which it all was.)
And OMG! Harris/Walz? Are you kidding me? Are there really that many confused people out there. Who ties their shoes, and dresses them? Are there millions of Americans constantly tripping over laces, or do they all wear slip-ons.
The difference is jaw dropping, because we let that stupid shit happen in a free country. WTF!
