88 outside, 75 inside, thanks to blowing basement floor air up the stairs and onto the computer desk. 12" fabric duct with 12v fan on the upper end. It has been run on solar but not bothering this year since the power is on and I have a nice 12v switching power supply on hand. The bottom end of the duct is vertical an inch off the basement floor.
Start the countdown on American deaths ,as MR. NOW MORE NEW WARS, bombs Iran as the Republican HAWKS win the battle, IRAN now has nothing to lose. Glad my sons are all beyond serving in another war. PRAY for your children, all go now..Just like the last Repub president, they just love them bombs...Lets make Iran ,the next GAZA right with those 93 milllion people. Right :(dam brown people)
I agree with Inga and Dinky. Trump should wait until the Iranians explode nukes in (checks target list) Tel Aviv, New York City, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, LA, and Boston before he does anything, ah, rash. Think of how many tens on millions of Democrat voters would disappear (vaporized) off the rolls compared to how (relatively) few Republicans. Plus Harvard and Columbia would stop being problems for the administration. With any luck we’d be rid of AOC (and a bunch of other Democrat pols) as a bonus.
Would Madison be on the list? Would our blog hostess get turned into radioactive dust too? Well, omelette and eggs, you know.

"Trump should wait until the Iranians explode nukes in (checks target list) Tel Aviv, New York City, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, LA, and Boston before he does anything, ah, rash." Thus far, the only nation that has ever used a nuclear weapon against an enemy was .... Well. Anyway, while the number of nations that have nuclear weapons has grown fairly rapidly since that first use, the number that have used them has not. Everyone seems to want them for deterrent purposes. For example, that is why Israel has them. So, the idea that Iran wants nuclear weapons in order to use them to attack other nuclear-armed states is predicated upon the idea that Iran is unlike "rational" states like North Korea and Pakistan. Hell, yeah! Let's bet the ranch on that reasoning. Anything else would be anti-semitic.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga_lNWrp3Js Fatma Said is an Egyptian Soprano with an international opera career. Here she is singing "Sevilanas del Siglo XIII", an Andalusian folksong collected and arranged by Garcia Lorca. Like many songs arranged by Garcia Lorca it has become an established "art song" on the opera professionals repertoire. I commend Fatma Said on her Spanish pronunciation and diction. Too many other singers make a mush of it.
Fatma Said comes from an Egyptian political/business family - her father is an established member of the power elite. Their origins are a testament to upward mobility in Egypt, as they derive from fellaheen origins (the peasantry), though they have been bourgeois for a couple of generations.
The human voice is a musical instrument of incredible power and flexibility. Here is Elina Garanca singing a bit out of the "Chanson Boheme" from "Carmen".

The closeup perspective gives a much better idea of the power, intensity, and I think its fair to say ferocity, that a real diva brings to the art. The conductor is her husband I believe. Garanca was I think 31 or 32 at the time, in her prime.
Thus far, the only nation that has ever used a nuclear weapon against an enemy was ....
@Jupiter, in 1945 every nation that had nuclear bombs used them.
Hell, yeah! Let's bet the ranch on that reasoning.
My firstborn son, his lovely scientist wife, and the world’s sweetest, prettiest, and most intelligent granddaughter live inside the DC Beltway. You’re not asking me to bet any ranch; you’re asking me to bet their lives. And that. I. Will. Not. Do. Least of all based on your sophomoric “logic.”
Now we know that the "Big Beautiful Bill" in whatever form will include the cancellation of approximately 60,000 all-electric Oshkosh NGDVs for USPS, most of which have yet to be manufactured in Spartensburg, SC, where the military truck builder is investing $150 million. NGDV delivery truck prices have been rising, with the latest amount at $77,692; meanwhile, new internal combustion Ford Transit and Freightliner Sprinter cargo vans would sell for under $50,000 each. The purchase and installation of Tesla chargers, as well as the redesign of repair facilities for EVs, to the extent possible, will also be discontinued.
"@Jupiter, in 1945 every nation that had nuclear bombs used them." That is certainly a true statement, but also a rather tendentiously stated one. I think that "the only nation that had nuclear bombs used them" gets closer to the important distinction. Or "nuclear bombs have never been used against a state that had them", which is why so many states want to have them. I stand second to no one in my Islamophobia, but I really don't believe that Iran is a suicide bomber state. Which means that, once again, the American military has been deployed in the service of Israeli interests.
@gadfly "...will include the cancellation of approximately 60,000 all-electric Oshkosh NGDVs for USPS..."
Sorry - but what's your point? I actually like the look of them, they appear to be purpose-designed and the one in my neighborhood is ICE-powered, not electric. I haven't asked the postman how he likes it, yet. But: Why are the prices rising? I would have thought a government bidding process would lock that in, and if the rising prices makes them noncompetitive, then why wouldn't it be chopped? According to your data, the all-electric version is over 50% higher. Why? And, what is the cost of the ICE-powered version?

That should make for some really nice sunrises.

It is certainly true, that Israel's ongoing campaign to annex the West Bank would be very, very risky if Iran had nukes. Very!
The local NBC station interrupted the Iran news interruption to report the death of FedEx founder Fred Smith.
A remarkable man. RIP.

Calm the fuck down. You know Iran has been at war with the United States since 1979.
