This is one of the very few times I would agree with Kakistocracy. I'm old enough to remember that the world leaders in my lifetime who had military parades were fascists and communists: Stalin and all the Russian Communists up to and including Putin, the Chinese Communists, the North Korean Communists, Hitler and the Nazis, South American dictators. Why in the hell does Trump, who never served and got 5 college deferments during the Vietnam War, want to act like these guys? It makes no sense.; 7/6/25 02:25 PM

Kash's talk with Joe Rogan also sheds some light on this - he says the holdup has to do with protecting the images of underage girls. But he also says there's not a lot of there, there, anyway. Which makes sense in a twisted way: people keep saying Epstein must have been keeping blackmail videos of powerful people with the girls, but that would be mutually-assured destruction, since Epstein was the procurer. Far more believable that he did everything in his power to prevent any record being made.

Across the river, Arlington has "parades," complete with howitzer volleys and jet flyovers, on an almost weekly basis. Back in DC, the Marines at 8th and Eye do a big review every Friday in the summer. Every foreign head of state that comes to the White House gets a big dog/pony show and more howitzer volleys. The Bishop of Rome (who should still be viewed with suspicion in an Anglosphere country, even these days) got a bloody parade when he came to DC, ffs.

The chief objection to Army 250 seems to be that a few companies of tanks and Bradleys will be in the parade. Yes, they could tear up the asphalt, even with mitigation such as extra-thick track pads and steel plates in the roadway. But it's once every 30 or so years.

And oh by the way no parade was held for Korea, VN, IRQ, AFG. The Desert Storm parade was held more to make up for VN ingratitude than for DS itself. No parade for the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, when men in blue coats made men of all colors free(r). No parade for the US Army enforcing the civil rights court orders under Ike and JFK. So there's a parade debt that needs to be paid off.

If regular people who served in the US Army, or their survivors, can go downtown or turn on the TV and feel a few minutes of pride, who cares if Trump is also puffing out his chest?

Bloody insane, especially wrt Northern Ireland. Keeps coming up at PMQ's. The entire situation on that island has changed - Sinn Fein is just another social-democrat party, the RC church has no political power anymore, and both green and orange men are getting swamped by refugees, immigrants, and asylum-seekers. Yet the lefty dead-enders still want to prosecute 70-year-old men, in some cases for what they did out of fright. Just bonkers.

Kash is out there saying "oh, there's nothing in the FBI files to show Epstein killed himself" as if that is some sort of f8king revelation.

Does he really think the FBI keeps all the incriminating evidence of FBI conspiracies locked up in their file cabinets? Epstein was in a video-taped prison cell under 24-hour suicide surveillance and there's no evidence?

The FBI is covering up the Epstein pedophile case for the billionaire pedophiles that the FBI works for and Kash is only announcing that he's not going to upset their apple cart.

I mean, he isn't naive enough to think he was going to start going through the FBI files and finding pictures of all this stuff. But then again ... maybe he is that naive.
