I suspect a walk is much better than inspecting a spam filter.

As I get older, my doctor seems to believe the same thing about my butt hole.
Althouse: I see that a comment I made half a week ago, which you just released from comment limbo—which I thereupon just reposted (on the “Redstarts” cafe page) so folks reading recent postings could see it—is once again promptly put in comment limbo by Google. Could you please free it up again?
Needs a bacon filter too.
Wouldn't it be simpler to just not bother checking and accept the occasional complaint about censorship?
There is a large and beautiful Jewish center in Boulder. I happened to drive by it yesterday late afternoon.
There must have been something going on - because I saw tons of cars in the parking lot, and backed up roads going in.
Made me happy.
Hamasholes hardest hit.
tim maguire is right because then we can use the spam feedback to change our posts to something that is acceptable to the Gemini AI oberfuhrer. Win-Win🤪

I think it would be interesting to put an asterisk on every post that is recovered from the spam filter, but that is too much work, I think. I know that it seems to target posts that attack certain Democrat Party, shall we call them "rhetorical vulnerabilities," but sure, it might be better to stop checking it, then when a post gets eaten by it, we could repost it differently without worrying about loading the blog down with multiple, slightly different posts, when the filter gets cleared. Worst case, if there is some idea that we are not allowed to post because Google has named itself political officer of the blog, we can write it in pig latin or something.
Cleaning out a filter of any kind is dirty job.
As an individual who knows nothing about such things, could someone give an explanation as to how this happens? Is it content driven? How so? Is there some other explanation?
I don't comment frequently, but I don't believe I've ever lost one to the spam filter. I've no idea what, if anything, that indicates.
Spam is a highly processed sausage with an extraordinarily long shelf life.
Michael, your comment has the look of one that might have been cut and pasted from a word processor given the neatness and alignment of the bullet points you added- that might be the reason it got flagged as spam.
Ms Althouse. I know as much as you and Meade and the rest of the commentariat have come to rely on my timely, insightful and often witty repartee' , that my comments have been lost in the static of the internet, doesn't really matter.
Dere's more O' dat shit where dat came from.

Winning comment. Exactly right.
To my surprise, bicycle pedals on a bike bought 25 years ago but kept in the basement unscrewed easily. I had expected a hammer-blow session with the pedal wrench. I always put lithium grease on pedal threads, maybe that was it. They're already threaded L and R to prevent unscrewing in use so tightness hardly matters. They tighten as you ride.
“ Could you please free it up again?”
Done.
Yours was the only one that got recaught, fortunately

My favorite!

Yancy: No, that comment (regarding books being read) got through the spam filter no problem.
We have a pond, in the back. We have a pool and a pond, pond would be good for you.
Spam wants to be free.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny. Comments should go up immediately... unless you're commenting on a post older than 2 days. Then you have to wait for us to moderate you through. It's also possible to get shunted into spam by the machine. We try to keep an eye on that and release the miscaught good stuff. We do delete some comments, but not for viewpoint... for bad faith.
