Bring back the real jeans, ones that are baggy enough to let a man move.
Derek Guy is a treasure.
Add 2% Spandex and you can have jeans as tight as fashion dictates, if that's your thing.
I didn't like Guy's picture and video selection - he didn't choose anyone with any kind of bulk to work with (my husband could use a tutorial, but none of this advice applies to him).

Enough with the tattoos. Please. Enough. Especially the Chinese character tats...90% (you know who you are...) don't even fucking know what they scrawled permanently on your skin. Is that too much to ask? I'm willing to compromise on "I ❤️ Mom", Eagles Globes & Anchors etc, but the esoteric derma-doodling is hideously ugly and nobody believes anyone when they tell you it means X or "you got it" because Y.

I didn't see any classic Brit linen shorts for dressing up at the Beach...
Dark blue jeans and dark blue shorts (sorry, Professor) are adequate. This guy is pretty funny.
Not sure anything can beat Eldridge Cleaver pants.
Frankly, I expected much more on the role of shorts in menswear.

There is no such thing as "a pant." There are only pants.
Pants are a kludge. You've got to cover yourself from midriff to ankle, and the choices among fabrics and styles are bewildering. Just find something comfortable, durable, and within the zone of social acceptance.
i have to concede that Derek Guy makes some good points, though.
Who wears pleated pants still?! I recently bought a pair of Levi's 501 shrink-to-fit classics, part of my uniform back in college. Takes a bit of time for them to get all nice and faded ... I have no memory of that, LOL.
I'm in the "you do you" camp with respect to clothes.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny.
