“It's Saturday night
and I'm just hangin' out
Lookin' for a place to party
So I jumps into my ride
and I hits the road
Cause there's only one place to go
Down to the nightclub
Oo the women be righteous and ready and pretty
ready and pretty
To the nightclub
We go bumpty-bumpty bump
(Bump City)”

All the leaves are brown
And the sky is gray
I've been for a walk
On a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm
If I was in Bombay

Hey don't laugh at that. War is gross.

It amuses me that no one is admitting that they couldn’t push Biden aside because they knew how awful Kamala was and is. The listener is always left with the open question, “Why did all those people cover it up rather than face facts and move him out, respectfully, of course?”

I felt it down here is GA, about 100 miles south. It woke me up from a mild slumber.

Lesson; It's No longer safe to hang your hat in Tennessee.

Breezy: What I would like to know is why no one in any party was clamoring to have a senile president removed between the election and the next inauguration. What could have possibly gone wrong?

Can we talk about Tarriffs? Or Climate change? Maybe someone can give us a link to some story that we all already know about? I just hope some leftist shows up and attacks Trump, then we can play crossfire.

Sovereignty jockey fined for striking horse too many times in Kentucky Derby win. Junior Alvarado, jockey of Kentucky Derby-winning horse Sovereignty, was fined $62,000 by the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority on Friday for striking his horse with his riding crop too many times during last weekend's win 10% OF $310,000.00 purse doubled BECAUSE HE JUST RECENTLY HAD ANOTHER INFRACTION.
You can only strike horse 6x ,he used 8. 10 or more strikes could be immediately disqualified for the win. Alvarado has many of these infractions .Some want rule abolished saying cropping a 1100 pound thoroughbred is not harming other wise pampered animals. I tend to lean with HISA as I have watch these beautiful athletes get beat with no chance of winning the race. My $200 win wager was on 2nd horse Journalism and tied to a cold $50 exacta with Baeza 3RD. I ALSO had saver exacta on Tiztastic with McCarthys horse that I was going to originaly bet to win ($200) but decided on a cold $50.00 exacta with Mcarthys horse.(Tiztastic never took to sloppy track finished 10th.)Steve Asmussen one of best trainers in the county but poor stats for the DERBY. No major mishaps for the recing stars but the winner came out with a little scrath to his leg, nothing serious and will pass the PREAKNESS making that race a no play for me.Tje triple crown chase is no longer a regal deal as owners and trainers are less apt now to run their babies back in the 2 week period and horses are no longer bred for distances like the old days when they would rum 15 -20 times now they race 5 -6 races and go to stud where the big bucks are! I may look toward BELMONT to replenish my wagering capital put aside for only thoroughbred racing.

A fundamental promise by America’s founders — that the state should punish no one without a fair hearing — is under threat, a growing chorus of federal judges say.

That concept of “due process under law,” borrowed from the Magna Carta and enshrined in the Bill of Rights, is most clearly imperiled for the immigrants President Donald Trump intends to deport summarily, they say, but U.S. citizens should be wary, too.

Across the country, judges appointed by presidents of both parties — including Trump himself — are escalating warnings about what they see as an erosion of due process caused by the Trump administration’s mass deportation campaign. What started with a focus on people Trump has deemed “terrorists” and “gang members” — despite their fierce denials — could easily expand to other groups, including Americans, these judges warn.

“When the courts say due process is important, we’re not unhinged, we’re not radicals,” U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes, a Washington, D.C.-based appointee of President Joe Biden, said at a recent hearing. “We are trying to enforce a process embodied in probably the most significant document concerning people’s rights against tyrannical government oppression. That’s what we’re doing here. Okay?”

It’s a fight that judges are increasingly casting as existential, rooted in the 5th Amendment’s guarantee that “no person shall … be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law.” The word “person,” courts have noted, makes no distinction between citizens or noncitizens. The Supreme Court has long held that this fundamental promise extends to immigrants in deportation proceedings. In a 1993 opinion, conservative Justice extraordinaire Antonin Scalia called that principle “well-established.”

Third-world ICE enforcers wearing bullet-proof vests and hefting automatic rifles while covering their faces with heavy masks attacked and detained unarmed NJ politicians demanding to be shown the inside of an ICE detention center in Newark as permitted by the law funding any and all facilities included in the federal budget. Camera footage showed a very large ICE male deliberately shoving an old, overweight NJ Congresswoman in the back. Striking a member of Congress can lead to serious legal consequences, including a misdemeanor charge for minor assault, which may result in up to one year in prison and a fine.

When some elected hefer jumps police, they have a right to react. And she isn't old. At least those ladies -- a school board candidate who attacked the police too -- got some exercise.

I never got a day in court. The vast majority of crime victims don't. Due process can be a five minute hearing at the border, then kicking the illegals back over it. The erosion of due process is on Biden's head: he let them in illicitly, and NGO's broke laws abetting him. But I'm all for arresting the NGO leadership and boards first.

JW - 1300 January 6 rioters were individually tried and convicted, so they were given a chance to prove their innocence before sentencing. Not happening under Trump who pardoned all J6rs, then jumped into the pool without warrants to illegally send unnamed immigrants and citizens to the Salvadoran gulag after ignoring orders to turn the airplanes around.

When your friends get treated this way perhaps you will understand.

planetgeo ayon kay ...

gadfly, I seriously doubt the founders had 20,000,000 illegal aliens in mind when they were envisioning "due process". The invaders should have just as much due process going out as they had coming in.

Nobody is fooled by this attempted extension of due process rights to noncitizens who entered illegally and some of whom are dangerous criminals.

Breezy ayon kay ...

Curious, what “due process” was utilized during the GWBush or Obama administrations?

And for those against deporting the recent millions of illegals, did you really vote for them all to be let in like they were let in?

300 of them never got a hearing.

I agree fly, they need to be shown the inside of a detention center. Let them have a long look at the inside.

I live about 10 miles from the epicenter of where the earthquake took place. I was outside doing some gardening work in my yard and didn't feel a thing. My husband and daughter were inside and said the whole house shook. Another neighbor said his kitchen cabinet doors all flew open.

It’s amazing the balance of power now. Anyone can say I feel threatened and the left gets its way. Every single time. Remind me again who is in power…

Leland ayon kay ...

so they were given a chance to prove their innocence before sentencing..

Minus the Brady material such as all the available video. And once again you show your totalitarian heart by saying they must prove their innocence rather than the state proving their guilt. You’re the one that wants to determine guilt or innocence by just being shown the person.

I think it is clear that an arrest is a necessary first part of “due process”. Without an arrest “due process” cannot even take place. So the question becomes what further “due process” procedures shall be followed after arrest?

I think entering another country illegally is very similar to a case of trespass. Illegal immigrants are deported back across the US border. Now, if an intruder trespasses on your property and police comes, makes an arrest, takes the intruder outside and let the intruder go away, whose rights are violated?

My 'friends' were already treated this way, asshole. And you didn't say jack shit about it then.

Take your tears for illegal alien gangbangers and shove 'em somewhere.

The 5/9 Democratical assault on a sacred Federal facility was worse than Pearl Harbor (*). It has me shaken to my core. We must arrest every person involved and show with trials that no one is above the law and assaults on Our Democracy will not be tolerated.

(*) - Pearl Harbor the movie.
