No. I haven't watched a moment of Trump's address. One always knows what to expect from Trump: lies, self-promoting claims, promises, boasts and insults and name-calling of those who do not suck at his ass. He's a wizened 12-year old, spoiled and yet resentful of others, his own ego as fragile as lace.

How could it? Obama served his two terms--and has been out of office for eight years--and Biden is not fit to run again, much less to serve.

A President has an Inaugration ceremony at the start of year 5 (9 or 13, if FDR) if selected. A VP taking over on POTUs death or resignation means those re-inaugurations could take place in other years after reelection.

Overall view of the day: I feel a sense of happy optimism around the country today. Here in Florida, certainly, but also from other parts. A friend in Ann Arbor (of all places). A friend out in LA. Family in various Midwestern locales. There is just a feeling in the air. Felt it when Obama was elected, but this is different. This is more like an aggressive feeling that America is about to rev up again.
Most striking thing to me was JD Vance's wife, Usha, looked proud enough for the entire nation.
Inauguration happens after every Presidental election even if the President previously held the office. George Washington's first was in 1789 making this the 60th (Ford took the oath but he was never inaugurated IIRC. There may have been other VPs that were never inaugurated President even though they held the office). Forty-five men have been President but two have now been elected to non-consecutive terms. The practice is to enumerate continuous occupancy of the Office as one Presidency so non-consecutive terms count as two Presidencies.
@Dr Weevil, I'll again raise my disagreement with that assessment. WRT Fauci, 2014 is when the regs stopping funding for GOF went into effect. 2014 would also seem to be about the time the Biden Crime Family got serious about grifting off Joe's carcass because they knew he'd be out of office in two years and Obama wasn't going to back an attempt to win the Presidency. I don't think either case is very persuasive for Obama being involved. Why would he expose himself for such meager pickings? He had plenty of other more lucrative opportunities.
There's talk that Obozo is dating Jennifer Aston and that a divorce may be in the offing. Big Mike will go it alone.
