Its amazing how the left has been able to politicize sexual oddballs and make them foot soldiers in the Democrat cause. They abandoned the workers years ago, and moved on the race/sexual minorities. Transgenders are the new "minority" that is demanding civil rights. And of course, the RINOs and all the confomists just tag along and help the Democrats. Imagine my surprise with the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staffs, announced that "Transgenders are backbone of the US military".

You can build a very safe unisex bathroom with a wide open (like no door even) area for the sinks, then stalls with floor to ceiling doors, like in nice restaurants and hotels. I have seen this in Europe. In the long run you’d save money, as the South did when they repealed Jim Crow and stopped building two of everything.
Also in Europe: the French pissoirs, outdoor public urinals with very little visual blockage - maybe a knee-to-shoulder partition. Sometimes these are combined with unisex stalls. Create an alternative for Donged-Americans and a lot of the conflict goes away.
Finally, a recurring sitcom/romcom trope (paging rhhardin!) is the opposite-sex friend or love interest following the protagonist into the bathroom for an argument, comforting, or whatever, followed by the discomfited users running out.
How much of our unwillingness to share bathrooms is due to fear of rape (which is certainly justified), and how much is from American ickiness at being near the other sex while doing our business?
